ANYWAY AS I SKIMMED TYZIAS ROUTE AGAIN TO TRY AND FIND THE ONE QUOTE

I realized she talked about how she plans to study super duper hard and try and make a difference because she knows there is loopholes and exploits she can use to try and help serve REAL JUSTICE on Alternia.

And it got me thinking bout Redglare, cus, obviously, because that is EXACTLY HOW I IMAGINE AND SEE REDGLARE AS.

Redglare has done nothing but study law and justice of Alternia and absolutely found the loopholes and exploits she can use to help lowbloods who were wrongfully accused.

I imagine there was A BUNCH MORE loops and things that would have helped lowbloods, and that the oppression of them wasn’t AS bad as it became in Hiveswap, but it was because of the Signless’s rebellion that they cracked down EXTRA HARD on trying to keep them in check and keep them under their thumbs.

And it was those get arounds that Redglare used that were changed and cut from Alternian law. This was soon after her death seeing as she died soon after the Signless did. But there was definitely things the high bloods possibly missed that Tyzias and other teals could use if they looked hard enough

Notes on my Redglare.

She was a disciple of the Signless before she became an official legislator. She was practicing law and to rise the ranks in her class, but she silently also was a follower of the Signless. He was the reason she wanted to rise in her class to try and help be his support on the inside.

However that would never be able to happen, seeing as they sent her to settle and take care of Mindfang while at the same time the Signless would be arrested and have his followers culled.

When Redglare would return with Mindfang she would learn of the Signless’s fate. She tried her best to do what she can to stop his execution but unfortunately her hands were tied. She lives on a constant guilt and blames herself for his death.

Not too long after his execution Redglare would be executed herself due to Mindfang’s bullshit.

Some Lil Mini HCs time

Redglare actually was in love with The Signless, however she knew she could never act on her feelings and had to swallow them due to his devoted love to The Disciple. She never held scorn toward the other, but there was a cold flame in the pit of her body over her.

Redglare has a sense of humor and actually is pretty goofy and silly – She only allows this side of her seen by people who have earned her trust, BUT she still offers deadpan and little jibs of humor here and there whenever she sees it fit.

She hasn’t many friends. She’s rather isolated, not entirely by choice. But she’s always been rather focused in her studies and holding a rather cold presence people are rather intimidated by her. Her only real friend being Pyralsprite and Signless.

Redglare truthfully doesn’t like any of her superiors. She can’t stand The GHB and avoids him whenever she can, The Condesce is tyrant and stands for everything she’s against, and Dualscar she can at least tolerate, but she would not hesitate to hang him from the gallows when the revolution came.

Redglare has a front. She is mostly strictly business and rather serious as to keep an appearance. It was an imagine she had to maintain. It’s just a second nature to her.

However, of course, being Terezi’s ancestor she really is rather silly and funny. If she warms up to you you will end up seeing more of the Terezi side of her - or if you’re lucky you’ll notice and pick up a few things.

Don’t be fooled when you first meet the teal blood - she IS Terezi’s ancestor.

Redglare as a mom is the type that tries to be ‘hip’ with the youth and adapts their slang and one hit kills any of her kids around her.

Let’s Write The Redglare Bible

⍤ : What does your muse’s voice sound like? Is it light? High pitched? Scratchy? Deep?

I would describe her voice like cold water flowing down a stream. Her voice is rather smooth and holds a ice to it – but it can be warmed and offer a sweet, smooth tone.

She holds herself very professional and makes conscious efforts to reflect that - including that of her voice.

It’s steady, but can incline to a more higher pitched whenever she laughs. She starts rather steady and low but grow into a more high pitched and almost witchy kind of sharpness to her voice when cracking her facade.

I know a lot of people say and draw Redglare as blind, but I will mention that my Redglare isn’t blind.

Yes, Pyralspite can blind people with their eyes, but I argue Redglare’s shades help prevent that.

The major reason for this change is going off the lore I have set on my Terezi blog, which is either canon OR was some fanon that I read somewhere that I really dig;

Terezi is a high blood with a disability; that makes her cullable.

Alternia is all about keeping perfection and making sure people are up to living in their world: The Great Trials for the grubs having to fight for the life to prove themselves able to live and deserving to survive in Alternian Society.

Terezi is a high blood who is blind. Even though she is very capable and her disability doesn’t hold her back AT ALL, In Alternian standards she’s still ‘defective’. This is why she lives in the woods by herself and wears her glasses - so no one would know and she isn’t risked to be culled.

Redglare never really socialized with most of the Signless’s other disciples and followers. She was very aloof and held a cold demeanor that set her off from the rest, as well as seeming to be not one for mingling.

The Signless, obviously, is the exception. He managed to bring out the more softness and even silliness out of the Pyrope. Getting to see Redglare passed her facade and image she held for herself.

Redglare DID share conversations time to time with The Psiionic. They’ve mingled the most out of the other of Signless’s disciples.

Redglare holds no ill feels toward The Disciple. Her feelings were snuffed - cold. She rather numbed herself against the other and held a rather disconnect. She tried to avoid confrontation as much as she could, but she was never outright rude or passive aggressive. She held her manners.

Redglare and The Dolorosa never spoke much at all. But she did hold a lot of respect for The Mother, finding her admirable.

Every waking minute of her damn life.

Redglare was surrounded by death, both because of how Alternia was and the fact she constantly bringing criminals to execution.

Of course that is only scratching the surface.

Because she definitely wondered about every day being her last ever since joining the rebellion. She constantly was paranoid and worried about the operation being found out. Of her being caught.

Or worse, Signless being caught.

Honestly, she might as well have been wearing a noose for the rest of her years with how much she thought and worried over it.

Of course, though, she never showed it in the slightest. Never voiced it. It was always internally in her mind.

 ⛔️ - How does your muse react to others breaking the law? If they would do it themselves, what is their reasoning?

I knew I’d get this one LMAO.

Redglare is a woman of law and justice, but she is absolutely not one to follow it blindly and obediently.

She has her own sense of justice - of right and wrong. Of good and evil. Her own ideals of morals.

If someone breaks Alternian law, it’s really a flip of a coin if it’s something that personally breaks her own internal set of laws and rules she feels that need to be abided.

Regardless of whether or not she views the person as an innocent in her eyes, if they broke the law she would have to deliver justice. Whether she thought it to be just or not didn’t matter.

Of course sometimes she would be able to use her skills and her knowledge of the law to try and get some people out of their conundrum, depending on the severity of the crime.

But she can only do so much - her hands are tied.

Redglare VC: Eat the rich.

No for real Redglare doesn’t like the higher castes. She doesn’t really like the wealthy people because she knows how they corrupt are first hand and how they didn’t even rightfully earn their status and wealth, they were just born into it.

She’s seen how they treat the lower class first hand. It’s disgraceful.

As Shane from Buzzfeed said, “All rich people are murderers.”

📊 - How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?

She is disgusted and upset with how Alternia runs. Seeing her people be discriminated, slaughtered, unrightfully tried and culled. Having to play as the tyrannical puppet.

She does believe in equality and rights for all trolls. She believes the caste system is unjust and how their society runs is atrocious to the law and belief of justice.

Truthfully? She believes it can only get so much worse, because to her it feels like they already practically hit rock bottom.

🔗 - What are your muse’s standards for meaningful relationships? How quickly do they form relationships like these?

OOH. This one is an interesting one.

Redglare prides someone who isn’t merely a blind follower. Someone who fights for their beliefs. 

She looks up to people who are fearless and rather die spiting in the face of injustice than living like a lap dog. Someone who holds a lot of respect. 

Someone who also is, honestly, rather caring. Passionate. Someone who carries a comfort with them.

Getting close to Redglare can be rather hard since she tends to usually hold herself rather coldly and at arms length, but if you manage to hit these qualifications you manage to slip into her more ‘comfort’ zone rather quickly.

She wants and needs someone who can depend on. Someone she knows she can trust.

Redglare, for some odd reasons, finds comfort on the shoreline. On the beach, watching the waves and the water, she finds a sense of bliss. Even if under the water lays the high bloods she absolutely detests the most. The place where the people who are the cause for so much unjust reside. But she would tend to like to visit the waters. 

Her second favorite place would be on the outskirts, around where The Signless and his following would reside and meet.

Any place where she is aware from the societal nightmare she lives under.

so hey. how DID redglare react when the signless died? did she witness it or did she hear about it after the fact?

Okay so.

I did write about it when I first made the blog if I recall BUT allow me to :) Explain. Hees.

Redglare was sent to take after Mindfing in rather coincidental timing, seeing as soon as Redglare was gone they managed to capture the Signless and execute him and his followers.

Of course Redglare would find out after she brings in Mindfang.

And she’s absolutely fucking heartbroken.

Of course she can’t go showing that. She has to bury and snuff her grief. She has to swallow her sorrow. She has business to take care of.

Of course, behind closed doors. When finally alone. Mindfang currently locked up to stand trial, the halls of her office empty.

She sobbed. A lot.

She broke down entirely.

And she blamed herself for the whole thing.

She saw herself as a failure. She failed him. Doing the one thing she promised she would do, protect him.

Soon after that would be Mindfang’s trial where she would end up getting hung, something she is still absolutely bitter and resentful about, but in a way saw it as her punishment for her failings.

Because of her failure of capturing and killing Mindfang, though, it was another heavy blow to her pride.

What legacy does she hold besides that of a failure for both Talula Pyrope and Neophyte Redglare.

[ what kind of upbringing did redglare have? O: what was her childhood like?

OOOOOOH.

You know funnily enough I was thinking about this earlier actually.

Of course Redglare is a teal blood, so she is rather better off than most trolls. She was raised rather strictly, though.

As soon as she was able, she was sent to begin studying Alternian law and practice to become a lawyer. Her interest in the craft was actually rather natural interest, not something she certainly felt forced to - (link that to Libra). So she was very focused in her craft.

Pyralspite was actually one of the better Lusus to have. Redglare and her relationship with her lusus is very good. They’re very close and they understand each other. They are what I tend to describe them as - partners.

Redglare did have to feed her lusus other’s lusus, but she was very tactical in her ‘hunt’. Redglare did a lot of research on people. She’s very observant. She tended to target either people she felt deserving of some sort of punishment OR people who would try and fuck with her.

The latter helped people learn Redglare at a young age meant fucking business.

Because truthfully, it was a bit of a hostile environment. A lot of people would try and fuck with Redglare buuuuuut. Well. Here comes Pyralspite-

Throughout her studying, through her observing and researching she WOULD see the massive inequality of the trolls - of her people. Not only from her law books, but also first hand. Her fire for equality was stoked at a very young age. It’s what made her the more passionate in studying.

It’s WHY she’s so skilled despite being so inexperienced. She has done INCREDIBLE amounts of research and is also the reason why… She never got any friends. KASJD.

Her friend through her childhood would only be pyralspite! She never reached out to much of anyone due to being so focused and not really being very sociable in general. But also people were intimidated by her - seeing as how ferocious her lusus was and the stories of how Talula Pyrope would send her lusus on anyone’s who would look at her wrong.

THIS IS A GOOD POINT TO BRING UP.

I don’t believe she would’ve felt or forseen her demise by Mindfang BUT.

I DO know she had the ever sinking feeling of herself being hung.

Being surrounded by so many executions, orchestrating so many, it sticks with her. It’s what she blamed it all on.

Her ‘nightmares’ that were actually visions. She had no idea of this. She, as usual, snuffs out any emotional vulnerability. It’s just her mind being weak and letting itself get too sunk into things.

I feel like she probably actually would have had a LOT more awareness of the nagging feeling and maybe have payed more attention to the ‘clues’ that her mind kept playing nearing the last few days of her moments - BUT , remember

she was emotionally compromised by the death of Signless as soon as she came back with Mindfang. Thus she was completely blind sided by the idea of any of these visions and feelings she was having was an actual sixth sense of warning rather than merely subconscious punishment and paranoia due to being emotionally shattered.
