He slept near the to the domestic role so easily. I'm convinced he would have been 100% happy there for the rest of his life.
And Anne was so willing to be with him even after she found out the truth. She helped the number one on the FBI's most wanted list escape the fbi.
I'm convinced they had the same Spirit of embracing whatever life brought them. They loved living in the moment. They each never spend their moments wishing they were elsewhere.
They were perfect for each other.

LaChanze did not win her nomination tonight, but congratulations are still in order. It was her 4th Tony nomination, and she does have a Tony from her role in The Color Purple.
All the best to her, and I hope she has as much fun as she was planning to, according to her interview!

The Star Trek musical episode is getting an awful lot of attention right now. I thought I'd mention that in that show, Uhura is played by Celia Rose Gooding, who is the daughter of Lachanz, our very own Anne Foster. Guess the Apple doesn't fall far.

Welcome to my Blacklist Anne-iversary celebration! A day of reposting all things celebrating the romance between Anne Foster and Raymond Reddington!
Anne Foster, played by Broadway star LaChanze, is a 52 year old resident of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, a real-life small town of approximately 900 people. She is a widow, her husband Cal having passed of lung cancer after 25 years of marriage. They were high school sweethearts, and have an adult daughter named Emma. Anne is a bird-watcher, goes to church on sundays, and is a member of a book club. Anne feels largely invisible in her hometown. Her best friend friend is a cop. This is about as much as we know about her. I wish we knew about her occupation.
First aired on April 16th 2021, the episode and "Anne" was episode 13 of season 8 of the blacklist. And it took all that time for us to get a proper romantic interest for one of the main characters!
But damn, was it worth the wait! "Anne" was one of the best episodes The series has ever put out. It was completely character driven. We spent the first half of the episode getting to know Raymond Reddington in a very new light, watching him being domestic and romantic.
The second half was action-driven, but also the best kind of action. The kind where you get to see more about a character during the action scenes. Personally, I fell in love with Red all over again. Not just in the first half, but in the second half when he was trying to get Anne out of danger, turning himself into the police to protect her. The man has already been sentenced to death, there doesn't need to be any trial!! And yet, here he is, without hesitation turning himself in to save the woman he loves.
But Anne herself was no pushover. She called out Red over his choice to get involved with someone who didn't know who he was, and despite being terrified, she held it together through all the danger. She helped him escape, and asked if they could stay together as she was in danger anyway. She even fought back in the end to try and save her Raymond's life.
It took two more episodes to ultimately find out what the show wanted us to believe about Anne's fate, but I hold out hope that she is still out there. They made it so vague, and didn't do it on screen, so there's ample room to bring her back if they want to. I await that day eagerly, and hope they do so before the very last minute of the very last episode.
Until then, Anne and Red's romance lives rent free in my head. And today it's going to be all over this blog. Block 'The Blacklist Anne-iversary' tag if it's going to bug you.

The Blacklist Anne-iversary fandom event...sort of.
Guys, April 16th, 2022 is the 1 year anniversary of the day we were given the gift of the episode that is "Anne."
I've never organized a fadom event before.... And I'm not going to organize anything now, LOL. I'm just saying, I plan to spam the hell out of my Tumblr with posts about Anne Foster and her dummy on that day.
Videos, gifs, pics, posts.... Anything and everything I will likely reblog on April 16th. And I'm going to tag it "The Blacklist Anne-iversary".
I invite you all to join me in this indulgent, joyful madness.
