RAW FOOD SELF MADE – a journey across raw food cuisine
A raw food diet of good quality items is a great temporary regimen for those who have overindulged in overprocessed, overheated, additive-loaded foods as well as too much fried food, red meat, grains, baked foods, flour products, sweets, etc. Doing this for a few weeks, months or even a year will leave you feeling lighter and more energetic (if lack of energy was an issue for you and not the result of other problems). Some juices, esp. carrot, lots of fresh greens (don't eat raw kale - this is a fad and a bad one; it needs cooking to digest properly), grated root vegetables (it's a nuisance trying to chew all those carrots & beets), vegetables in general (do not eat raw potatoes), bean sprouts such as lentils and mung beans (should be lightly cooked, though), a few dates or raisins for dessert, plain fruit and so on. Some raw milk cheese (yes, it's legal) is a nice addition if you crave a bit of dairy food.
Raw food certainly has endless health benefits, which you will notice as soon as you integrate more raw foods into your life.
