Small artists you need to understand that when you see an artist who you think has 'made it' tells you not to worry about the numbers and to not fret about getting more likes than reblogs they are not telling you it because they think you are stupid for caring or because they dont need to network to survive they are very likely telling you that because they have witnessed first hand the way the numbers game tears people to shreds in terms of mental health and motivation

I'm fine at the moment, I'm not a risk to myself, but I need you to know if I ever do kill myself, it's the fault of every pain specialist who looked me in the eye and told me they wouldn't prescribe me opiates -- the one type of pain killer that works on me -- because of the "risk of addiction."

I spent twelve hours on Monday hyperventilating, vomiting, and being blinded by agony unable to think of anything other than if my partner had a gun, I could end my misery in an instant. My migraines are so bad they make me suicidal.

And all I get is a prescription for tylenol + ibuprofen, which I can't take*, and a suggestion to practice mindfulness.

I'd say the system is broken, but in reality, it's working as intended. Its intention is to break the most vulnerable and remove them from the gene pool.
