ST4 Headcanon: Murray put the photo of Jonathan and Nancy up on the Fridge while he was cooking dinner.

I don’t think the photo was hanging up on the fridge the whole time (even though this would be cute). Note, when Murray first arrives, the photo is not on the fridge but when he occupies the kitchen it’s suddenly there.

I believe Murray found it while at the Byers’ house (maybe when he was in Jonathan’s room with Joyce) and hung it up on the fridge while cooking, displaying his accomplishment for all to see. I like to think Murray takes pride in their relationship. It also make sense why this photo would catch Jonathan’s attention and spur him into action in episode 4.
