#I feel so sick #like super queasy and gross #yesterday I was scrolling online and I saw an article about emotional incest #it’s not the first time I’ve heard this term #the first person who brought it up was my sister when I brought up my relationship with my mom #but I immediately just shut it down it was just so gross to even consider #but after I read that article I realized the relationship dynamic between my mom and I is emotional incest #my entire life I’ve felt like a CSA victim but the problem was nobody ever touched me #so I’ve just grown up with these awful trauma and addiction issues and I couldn’t exactly pinpoint why #but now I’ve learned that victims of emotional incest have the same trauma issues as people who were abused overtly #it’s literally all I can think about #as soon as I’m not distracted by work or TikTok I just keep thinking about it #I don’t even know what to do like how am I supposed to handle this #I reached out to a resource program and I have an appointment in 2 weeks but I feel like I’m gonna lose my mind before then
