Whatever the path this world is taking me through, if the end is an entry ticket to Jannah, that’s all I’ll probably want. And need.
Allah works in miraculous ways. One loss you have had today, doesn’t define your worth, but rather it’s a redirection to something even bigger.
The judgment day is such a vast of an idea, no matter how much we have heard of it, our limited minds wouldn’t be able to wrap the mind around it. And sometimes, oh, I could vouch, mostly, it’s the little losses, or the larger losses, that we weep at, that might take us to this point. Where we win at life.
This redirections, or losses, or what we feel is what’s “unfair” on us, the light that came from our endurance could probably be easing our grave for us, or weighing our scales heavier with good deeds, or where it even, becomes a ticket for us to enter.. the paradise: Jannah.

Perfection is what you strive for during Ramadan. But this is a gentle reminder not to beat yourself up for a moment you’ve slipped. If you broke your continuous routine just for a moment, be kind to yourself. First few days of Ramadan can be exceptionally hard on you, physically, mentally and emotionally. This new timeline, eating pattern, sleeping pattern and pace are entirely foreign to your body and your mind. Remember that your lord is the most forgiving. And your sincerest apologies are welcomed with open arms. Being gentle with yourself whenever you slip, will help you connect with your lord and your mission more authentically. Forgive yourself and expect the best forgiveness from the best forgiver and restart your journey. It’s okay to slip, but make sure to stand up and stand up firm. Remember, your lord is the most forgiving. And the most kind.

How calmly you wait for your time is, beautiful patience.
This comes from a deep rooted security. That everything will be aligned for you.
It comes from gratitude, reminiscing of all the times, it took time, but finally came through.
It comes from relief, knowing how abundantly generous and loving your lord is.
It comes from hope, knowing the brightness of the light that’s to come.
Mind you, beautiful patience isn’t easy. It’s not easy to be gathered inside, when everything you have ever known has fallen apart in front of your eyes. It’s not easy to keep every step forward hoping for a step when you don’t see anything at all, in front. Its not easy to be smiling from the heart when everything you have ever wanted has crumbled into pieces. But the beauty is, you trust your unknown future to a known God.
The beauty is, you keep your heart lit with candles of gratitude , knowing and remembering and not forgetting the fact that Allah always came through. The beauty is, when it all falls into place and you discover the wisdom behind the delay in five , fifteen or twenty five years down the lane and you quietly whisper, “hasbunallahi wa’nimal wakeel”.
The beauty is, when you have what you have been praying for, with blessings from everyone who’s seen you struggle. Its irreplaceable.
The beauty is realizing, not a single moment was wasted waiting. It’s all worth it. To the dot.

When you do it for Allah… it hits different.
If you want to pray, or recite, or pick yourself up— out of an abnormal fear in your stomach. Of the unseen death. Fair enough. Fear, or anything that drives you close to Allah, is a good thing, right?
But when love draws you closer to Allah. I vouch, there’s some sort of serenity to it. That makes you feel so fulfilled. With light. Inside of you. Although you’re with nothing you ever wanted in your life. You have a contentment inside of you, that draws you, closer to Allah even more. Because you know the sweetness that comes out of being close to Him. You know what you’re left with, inside, an inexplicable peace.. a serenity, that no amount of highs could ever give you.
And inside.. even if you haven’t enjoyed life, as per to “people’s standards”, it doesn’t leave you with greed in the name of “wanting to enjoy” life. And to do outrageous things to seek pleasure.. and you’re somehow at peace that what’s meant to you: will find you. And when it does, it will. There’s no desperate seeking, there’s no competition with contemporaries, there’s no outrageous decisions, there’s no sadness deep in your stomach that makes you feel worthless,
because simply…
You’re content, within you. Being you.
And this contentment is inextricably beautiful on you.

Cause, the biggest of my blessings arrived when I put my trust in Allah.
I don’t want to limit my blessing power to something as small as my brain. I’m sure, my brain could work out things. Pretty neat science-y things. But it’s nothing close to what Allah grants.
When you live life like it’s art, people don’t recognize the beauty of it, until the art is complete. Sure, you could work out a formula, or go by the given formula, and appeal a win, but trust me, if you put your trust in Allah, when Allah gives, He pours.
As someone who has received, as someone who has seen Allah through the mercy he bestows, as someone who who relied on Allah, and was never disappointed or deprived, even for one second…
I want you to say “hasbunallahu wani’mal wakeel”
He’s capable of providing from places you never even imagined. And He gives. And when He gives… it will be MORE than enough. Alhamdulillah.

If the entire situation gave you nothing but wisdom, and gratitude towards Allah, and a sense of understanding Allah’s plans, he has favored you BIG! No materialistic things could ever, come close to what these big gifts can give you. This is going to shape your path towards to achieve your big goals in this dunya and akhira. Even if a loss was incurred, and you have a connection with Allah (swt) out of that loss, that’s not really a loss. That’s one of your biggest gains.
May Allah (swt) bless us abundantly and give us the power to understand even a bit of His wisdom or to accept the fact that, He does everything in His power to protect and favor us, in all ways.

All the while we were careful who not to be like, a little part of us, always forget what to be like.
Shaitan made a mistake and stood strong in his arrogance. Adam made a mistake and sought forgiveness. The mistake is not at fault here. It’s what comes after. Our reactions to the mistake we made. We are creations, not a creator. So it’s extremely normal for us to make mistakes. But what’s criminal about us is not the mistake itself, Allah is all-forgiving, He could overlook the flaws of a flawed slave. He knows the capability of his creation. But what angered Him, is the incapability to accept it. Who are we, after all, to deny what our master says is right?
But what I want to focus today on is about, how Adam (alai) handled the whole scenario. He was tricked into making a mistake. He was wronged, partially. But he made a mistake too. But one thing he never let happen to himself is, he never let the light Allah had for him, taken away from himself.
That comes from acceptance of one’s own mistake. Acceptance is rooted from humility. One could land their feet on the ground and say, that’s where I belong. “After all, I’m a creation, I don’t have any problem accepting that.” I made a mistake, and I pay for it. And the fruit of how Allah elevated him, for understanding and acknowledging his mistakes— is what you and I enjoy today, as humans. With the status of a human. With a brain, a functional body, with thoughts, independence, sight, scent, senses, and so much more.
But don’t you ever forget.. the entire being that you are.. is a test as well. Choose wisely, who to be like, to win this test. Stay away from what’s forbidden, and even if your greed or temptations have the better off the situation.. It’s okay if you’ve made a mistake. Islam is very inviting and inclusive because Allah wants us all to win. When your creator is willing to take many steps down to forgive you, what makes you not to seek it?for your own good? Accept your mistakes and pick yourself up. Al Gaffar.. He is waiting to forgive you.

Let your rough patches not define the love Allah has for you. Not at least in the sense you, and your limited mind understand. Your loyalty should be so strong, that it weathers all sort of storms. Remember the time Allah paved way for you when you were counting on Him? The difference was that your trust was strong, not that His sense to give ever reduces. Maybe, the wait is longer now. Maybe, that’s the whole point. To test your patience. Your loyalty. But don’t you ever forget.. if there’s anything wrong with any part of your life, the shortcoming is from you, not from Allah. You are flawed, not Him. If and when you master this idea.. it’s pretty easy to understand the wisdom behind His doings and delays. It’s you, it’s always you. Correct yourself, in terms of patience, reliance, loyalty, gratitude, love, fear or humility. Focus on YOUR part. Everything else will eventually, definitely, fall into its place. I hope Allah (swt) grants us the wisdom on top of it, to look back and simply, understand. And praise Him. And have the best impressions of Him.

Sometimes, remember that no matter how much you try to advice someone to do the right thing, they may not listen to you. They may not act the right way. And you have no power over someone else’s well-being and you gotta learn to be okay with that. They stand so strong in their wrongdoing, confusing your reality. They may dodge accountability and run to all sources possible to clear the black mark on their names. They may create worldly contacts to save their name. Powerful army to protect them from being attacked. Hefty price they may afford in this worldly space to clear their worldly reputation..
But remember, oh remember, Allah knows. If they do not fear Allah (swt), and the fact that He is watching. No matter how much they claim to be ‘religious’, fooling their own hearts and others’. No amount of warning passes through their hearts to ring the right message. Whatever you tell them, in whatever emotion, maybe in love, fear, or compassion. Allah has sealed their hearts and that is Allah’s decision. And you got to accept their fate as much as you accept your own.
As much as you want good for them, remember,
Allah (swt) knows who to place where. In all good intentions of doing the right thing, don’t ever mess with Allah (swt)’s plans, decisions or placements. You cannot ‘fix’ someone with your words. You cannot ‘change’ the spots of a leopard with your advice.
After all, they know what they’re doing. And after all, He knows who deserves what. And soft little trying heart, learn to be okay with that.

One of the essences of Islam happens to be balance. A beautiful balance between dunya and akhirah. Quran and the practical world are supposed to be hand in hand. The book pushes you towards the world and the world pushes you towards the book. When you feel like you’re in the edge of the world, turn to the book. And when you’ve learnt what you’re supposed to learn, apply them to your life, where you are right now. Even if it doesn’t go with your tradition, even if the whole world swims towards falsehood, it’s okay to pause, think, and do the right thing.
Always remember, dunya is to enjoy, of course, but never at the cost of your akhirah. Learn to strike a balance. And you’ll learn the hang of it.

No matter how brilliantly I plan something, nothing happens the way it does, unless Allah (swt) permits it. I may be a good planner, but He’s the best of planners. His plans are always greater than ours, and even if we think we pulled something off, it’s He who allows it to happen, thereby, making all of what’s happening, His magnificent plan. Just like how a 300,000lb aircraft fights gravity to travel up in the air, if Allah doesn’t want that heavy flight to be flying, taking up on the purpose of transporting so many people from one place to another… would we be living this luxury of crossing borders?

Do you feel agitated of your future, Anxious of the uncertainty? As agitated and anxious as a mother who put her newly born baby Musa, in the river in a flimsy basket? The basket wasn’t waterproof, it had no guarantee of not toppling over, or not hitting a rock, or not being drowned.. but she had to do it, placing all the bets on the mercy of Allah (swt), that He will get her baby through. When she placed it in the safe hands of Allah, she didn’t even have the faintest idea what will happen or where will it land, she just believed. With pure love for her baby and profound trust in Allah (swt).
