I have no idea what possesses people to tell another human being to do such a thing. Honestly I can only assume they're like under the age of 16 and just not emotionally mature enough. Sending things like that is not a good idea what if it's sent to someone who is actually suicidal or someone whose been struggling with suicidal tendencies and just waiting for a sign. Someone whose mentally unwell and not thinking right could take that as some type of sign from the universe that they're 'supposed' to act on their suicidal thoughts or it could just really add fuel to someone's depression and self hatred. But mostly it's not a good look for the sender, to anyone who sends messages like that, you are worth more than that don't degrade yourself
☝🏻☝🏻 so true! as a message to all people on here: please never tell anyone to kill themselves. you never know what someone could be going through

no but seriously please ignore them. I had an hate anon once and I know some people take what they say to heart but I was laughing the whole time. I promise you half of the time it’s some kid that’s literally so stupid. Like imagine having nothing better to do but send hate and on top of that it’s anonymously…like people are so weird these days.
honestly… hiding behind a screen and telling someone you don’t know at all to harm themselves is wrong on a lot of levels, and you’re right, a lot of the time it is a kid

that time of the month was not a fun time for you. out of all your friends, and all the girls you knew, you had the worst period cramps by far. the first three days were always the worst, but they dwindled nearing the end of your menstrual cycle.
your boyfriend Eddie, bless his heart, was an absolute angel. he kept track of your monthly cycle and whenever you would go over to his house he had your favorite snacks and movies ready to go. the snacks and movies didn’t exactly help your cramps though.
you were halfway through your twentieth rewatch of Friday the 13th when one hit you. a sharp pain shot through your lower stomach and pelvis. it was so random that you couldn’t withhold the wince that left your mouth. your face screwed up as you clutched at your stomach.
“baby what is it?” eddie shifted to look at you with a worried expression.
you sucked in a breath, “cramps.”
“is there anything i can do?” his voice was soft against your neck. you were laid in between his legs with your head rested below his- at least you were before you sat up slightly from the cramp.
you thought for a second, thinking if there was anything that eddie could do to help. of course his presence alone made you feel better, the warmth of his body against your back, his quiet comments on the movie you were watching. but none of those things could rid you of the sharp pains in your abdomen.
“could you…” you started, “give me a massage?”
“of course i can. where does it hurt?”
you picked up eddie’s hand from your thighs and placed them right above your pelvic bones. once you let go he applied pressure and started rubbing circles to the area.
your eyes fluttered shut and you hummed, letting your head rest against eddie’s chest once again.
“does that feel good?” he asked, chuckling quietly at your bliss.
“mhm,” you hummed.
he tilted his head down and kissed the top of your head. “good.”
for the rest of the movie you laid there, eddie massaging your pelvis and lower abdomen, eating snacks- and feeding them to your boyfriend too- and watching movies until you fell asleep tangled in his bed.

Jonathan Byers and Lonnie Byers did not get along. Most of the hatred came from Jonathan’s side, but it was well deserved since Lonnie abandoned Jonathan and his little brother Will. He never tried to be a part of their lives, instead he moved to Indianapolis with his new girlfriend.
When Will had gone missing their father didn’t look for him and didn’t worry about where his youngest son could possibly be or what happened to him. But what made Jonathan the most mad was that after Will was found, Lonnie still didn’t make any effort to see him.
Ever since he was a young boy Jonathan had to become somewhat of a father figure for his younger brother. There was only a three year difference between the Byer boys, yet Jonathan had to become his protector from a young age. He didn’t mind it. He loved Will with his entire heart and would always be there for him, he just wished that their actual father showed him what a dad was supposed to be like. Jonathan didn’t blame his mother like Lonnie did. He knew that it wasn’t Joyce’s fault their dad never came around or tried to spend time with them.
After the events of July fourth Joyce wanted to move and get her kids out of Hawkins, Indiana. After Hopper died and Joyce took in El she knew they needed to get away and give them a fresh start.
Jonathan was equal parts excited and sad to be leaving. Him leaving meant that he wouldn’t see you everyday like he had been for the past two years. You promised to call and write all the time and to see each other during holidays, whether that meant him coming to Hawkins or you going to California.
There was a knock on your bedroom door. You expected it to be your older brother or one of your parents at such an early hour but when you opened the door and saw your boyfriend standing there you were absolutely delighted. It was only a few days before the Byers moved and Jonathan was trying to spend as much time with you as possible so he had been around a lot. You thought he was just coming to hang out like usual, but he looked mad. His eyebrows were furrowed and he was clenching his jaw hard.
You gently took him by the arm and pulled him into your room and onto your bed. “Hey,” you took his face in your hands, “what is it?”
“My dad.”
“What happened?” you asked softly.
“He-” Jonathan let out an aggravated breath. “Mom asked me to call him and tell him that we were moving so I did. I didn’t want to but Mom insisted.” He rolled his eyes. “Well I called him and he’s spouting his normal bullshit. He was saying how Mom was taking us away from him- even though he never comes to see us- and that it wasn’t fair and that he should have a say in this. He’s so- so controlling,” Jonathan insisted. “After all this time he wants to pretend like he was a part of our lives. He wasn’t. He never was, and he never will be.”
You nodded. You knew all about Lonnie and his lack of participation in the boys’ lives. Jonathan and Will deserved better. Much better. “What did you tell him?” you asked.
“I told him it wasn’t his decision to make of course! He can’t just- no. He can’t just act like he suddenly has the right to tell us we can’t go. I didn’t tell Mom what he said; she’s upset enough as it is with Hopper dying.”
You nodded gravely and pulled Jonathan into your arms. He melted onto you and relaxed against your touch. “At least when you’re in California you won’t have to worry about him,” you reminded your boyfriend.
“I know,” he mumbled into your neck. He sighed, letting out some of the tension in his body. “But,” he raised his head up to look you in the eye, “you won’t be there. I’d rather be here, with you.”
“It’ll be okay. As soon as I graduate I’ll come to California. I’ll be around you so much that you’ll get sick of me,” you smiled.
Jonathan shook his head, “I could never get sick of you. Ever. I love you way too much.”
You pressed a kiss to his forehead. “I love you way too much too, and no amount of distance could change that.”
Even though Jonathan came to your house early in the morning he stayed very late too. You knew he had things he needed to do at home but you weren’t going to kick him out. You wanted him close to you just as much, if not more, than he did.

The sky above you was getting darker and darker as it was nearing nighttime. The eight of you had been walking for almost two hours according to Dustin. One bright side of the situation- other than Eddie- was how toned your legs were going to be from all the walking you had done. The bottoms of your Nikes were covered in dirt and it felt as if you had worn the soles off of them in the past day. You were sweating so much that you had to tie your jacket around your waist. It was a little chilly since the sun had gone down, but the extra layer was killing you.
It was clear that everyone was tired and miserable. Everyone walked with heavy steps and were too over it to watch where they were going. On more than one occasion you, Eddie, Max, and Robin had tripped. Dustin had also tripped, but his reason was out of eagerness. Nancy hadn’t tripped. She didn’t seem like the type of girl that ever did stumble. You didn’t know Nancy personally, but you had passed by her in school and she always seemed so put together.
Mosquitos swarmed around your sweaty bodies, thirsty for teenage blood. Everyone was groaning and griping while they swatted them away and itched at the spots they couldn’t get the bugs away from. You were ninety percent sure you got bit right in between your eyes, but when you asked Eddie he said he couldn’t be sure.
About halfway through the walk Eddie had gathered his hair at the back of his head in a ponytail. His hair had been sticking to his neck and it was getting on his nerves and making him sweat more. You had searched your backpack for a hair tie but you didn’t have any on you. Of all things to bring, you forgot that.
You weren’t sure where you were at. The woods looked the same no matter how far you had gone. Dustin had been holding the compass the entire time, leading the rest of the group. No one knew where it was leading location-wise, but Dustin was sure that it was leading to a gate into the Upside Down. After you guys found it you weren’t sure what the plan was. What if you did find the gate? Were they going to get in it and go to this other dimension? That would be insane.
You were just about to ask Dustin how much further he thought the gate was whenever he suddenly started running. “Hey- Dustin-” He wasn’t paying any attention to you and you had to sprint to keep up with him, jumping over limbs and other forest debris that could potentially sprain an ankle.
“Dustin? Dustin can you please slow down?” Eddie called. He was right behind you, tailed by Steve, Nancy, Max, and Lucas.
The boy wasn’t listening, just looking down at his compass. You faintly heard him say, “Something’s happening,” before he started running again. “I think we’re close!” Not a moment later he broke the treeline, and there in front of you was a body of water.
Dustin wasn’t watching his step and a second before he fell into the water Eddie stepped beside him and grabbed him. “Watch your step big guy,” he said, looking out at the dark water that stretched out in front of you.
You heard leaves rustling and panting as the rest of the group filled in. They had been behind you, Eddie, and Dustin, who had been talking on and off the entire walk. “Oh man. You gotta be shitting me,” Steve breathed out.
“Yeah…” Eddie said, looking around skeptically. “I thought these woods were familiar.”
“Lover’s Lake,” you said quietly. After all that walking you had ended up back at the lake. Just last night you and Eddie had been in the boat and witnessed Patrick die. A shiver went down your spine, slightly raising goosebumps on your arms even though you were overheating.
Henderson stared out, looking around absolutely dumb-founded. “This is confounding.”
“There’s a gate in Lover’s Lake?” Max asked. Her eyebrows were drawn together in confusion as she glanced at Lucas, then you, then Dustin, then Steve and Nancy.
“Whenever the Demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening. Maybe Vecna’s the same way,” Nancy said. She looked around, seeing if anyone agreed. You had no idea. This was the first time you’d been involved in the very real curse that plagued Hawkins. It was absolutely gobsmacking that while you were out enjoying life this group was out risking their lives to save your town.
Steve took a breath then looked at Nancy with some sort of finality. “Yeah, only one way to find out.”
Dustin looked over at Steve with an exasperated expression. “Tell me you don’t plan on going out there.”
“Dude, I used to be a lifeguard. I can swim out there easy-peasy.” Steve made a face as Henderson that looked like he was saying ‘duh.’ You wouldn’t ask anyone to go out into that water. Lord knows what was lurking in it.
You looked around at the area you were in with your eyebrows furrowed. This exact spot looked familiar. Very familiar. You walked a couple feet away from the group, looking down the shore line when you spotted it. Just a little bit away was your getaway boat. It was in the same place you had left it. You turned around with a smile on your face. “Actually… you may not need to swim out there Steve.”
He looked at you with a puzzled expression. “What do you mean?”
“Follow me.” Nobody objected or asked any questions about why they were following you. But as soon as the boat came into view for everyone they understood what you meant.
“Good thinking y/l/n,” Steve said, nodding in approval. He walked past you to inspect the boat. It was beached from when you’d pulled it up onto land.
Eddie came up and nudged you with a smile on his face. “That’s my girl.”
“It was nothing.” You shrugged but he saw the smile on your face.
“How’re you feelin’?” he asked. In less than a week you had been through so much. It was thing after thing. You hadn’t had a break yet to slow down and catch your breath.
“I- I don’t know honestly.” You kicked up some dirt with the tip of your shoe. You didn’t know how you could possibly go back to normal life after all this. And that was if it was ever over.
“Hey…” he said softly, moving in front of you and wrapping his arms around you. You shut your eyes and let yourself forget everything, just soak in Eddie’s touch. When you had gone to hug him back you stuck your arms under the leather jacket he had on and it was encasing you too.
A few feet away Max had been watching your interaction and the cute moment made her smile- which Eddie saw and it made him smile too.
“Hey, uh, Munson, could you help me get this boat in the water?” Harrington called.
Eddie pulled away from you and kissed your forehead before he responded to Steve. “Sure man.”
You walked over to Max while he went to go help Steve. Max and Lucas were standing back a little bit away from the group, watching. Max dropped her hand from her mouth where she had been chewing on her nail to give you a small smile. She motioned to the boat, “That was quick thinking.”
“Yeah… it’ll be safer this way. I didn't think it was a good idea for him to swim out there all by himself.”
She let an amused breath out of her nose. “He’s always been like that. I’ve known him for a year or two and he always tries to take charge. He’s like a babysitter.”
“Yeah I can see that,” you laughed. From what you had seen so far you could tell Harrington was very protective, especially over the younger teens.
The three of you watched in silence as Eddie and Steve pushed the boat into the water. When it was in and floating, Eddie motioned for you to come over. You approached the boat and he held a hand out to help you in. He got in right after you, followed by Robin and Nancy. Steve was the last to get in and it made you nervous having five people in the small boat. When just you and Eddie had been in it you were nervous too, but this was a whole nother level.
Dustin approached the boat and looked like he was going to climb in too. Eddie immediately held a hand up to stop him. “Hey, you trying to sink us? This thing probably only holds three people tops okay? We really can’t fit anymore,” he said.
Dustin opened his mouth in disbelief but didn’t get a word out before Nancy started talking. “It’s better this way, okay? You guys stay here with Max. Keep an eye out for trouble.”
“You keep an eye out,” he quickly retorted. “It’s my goddamn theory.”
“You heard Nance,” Robin said from the front of the little boat.
Dustin stuck an arm out, motioning to Robin, “Who put her in charge?” He shook his head with a scrunched up face that made his eyes look closed.
“I did.” Robin raised an eyebrow like she was challenging Henderson. He didn’t say anything, just mushed his lips up and huffed.
“Compass.” Nancy reached towards Dustin with her palm open. He slowly and reluctantly reached in his pocket and pulled out the circular device. He dropped it into her hand and started walking further onto the land and away from the water. Steve tossed Henderson his backpack, making him cuss, and finally sat down.
“Here,” you passed Eddie one oar while you kept the other. You both lowered them into the water and started rowing the boat out towards the middle of the Lake.
“You said three!” Dustin yelled.
“Sorry,” Steve whispered, even though he wasn’t sorry at all. All Dustin did was scowl.
Robin grinned at them before she called out, “Bed time at nine kiddos! Miss you already!”
You couldn’t make out their facial expressions but you knew Dustin probably looked pissed off. He wanted to be involved, and it seemed like he wanted to be with Steve and Eddie more than Lucas and Max.
The two of you continued to row for many more strokes before Nancy spoke. She had been holding the compass and something was happening to it. “Woah, woah, woah, woah, slow down. Slow down guys.”
You pulled your oar slightly out of the water and turned around. “What is it?” you asked. You leaned over to look at what she was staring at. The compass was completely wigging out. The pointer in it was spinning so fast it was a blur. “Woah,” you whispered under your breath.
The five of you stared down at it, watching as it spun and spun and spun. The walkie-talkie crackled to life beside Robin. “Hey guys, why are you stopping? Why are you slowing down? What’s going on?”
Robin picked it up, “Uh Dustin, your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital wahhh.” Her eyes grew big when she said the last word as a means of putting extra emphasis on it.
While no one was particularly paying attention to him Steve had started taking his shoes off and was working on getting his socks off too.
Nancy looked over at him, confused.“Steve, what are you doing?”
“Somebody’s gotta go down there and check this out,” he answered. “Unless one of you three can top being a Hawkins High swim co-captain and a certified lifeguard for three years, then… it’s gotta be. No complaints, all right?” He continued pulling his clothes off and stood up in the boat.
You yourself had a year as a lifeguard, but it was back when you were sixteen and that was almost two years ago. You were still a good swimmer, but that in no way meant you wanted to swim to the bottom of the lake and find that gate thing.
“Hey, I’m not complaining. I do not wanna go down there,” Eddie said. You didn’t blame him. Getting all the way to the bottom and finding who knows what was probably extremely dangerous.
Eddie flipped over a plastic bag that he had been carrying and dumped its contents out, a few small things hitting the bottom of the boat. You turned away from Eddie to see what everyone else was doing and was presented with Steve Harrington’s bare back. You whipped your head around so fast you nearly got whiplash.
Eddie had seen the sudden movement out of the corner of his eye and looked up too. When he laid eyes on Steve his mouth dropped open dramatically and his eyes grew wide.
You smacked the side of his arm lightly and he laughed a little. “I was just messing with you.”
You rolled your eyes at him but you weren’t actually bothered by it. When you looked back at Eddie he was wrapping a flashlight in the plastic bag. You raised your eyebrows and nodded, impressed by the idea.
Eddie passed Steve the plastic-wrapped flashlight and looked at him in the eyes. “Good luck.”
“Yeah, good luck.” You didn’t turn around and look at Harrington and his naked upper body, but he heard you and knew that you were talking to him too.
“Thanks guys,” he replied. He was staring down at the water, preparing to dive in.
Eddie picked up a pack of cigarettes that had fallen on the bottom of the boat and pulled one out. He tilted the pack towards you but you shook your head; you personally didn’t like smoking.
The brunette stuck the cigarette in his mouth and pulled out a lighter but just as he was going to light it Robin snatched it from his lips. “Gross.”
Shock crossed your face momentarily and Eddie scowled at her. Could a man not smoke when he was stressed out?
“What?” she asked, seeing your expression.
“I- nothing,” you said. You looked at Eddie with your eyebrows slightly raised but he didn’t say anything.
You averted your attention to your left where Steve was just about to jump into the water. Him and Nancy exchanged a few words but you didn’t want to eavesdrop. A few seconds later he dove in. The boat rocked a little from his body breaking the surface of the water. You gulped, and the rocking boat wasn’t the reason. Even though it wasn’t your life in danger, but Steve’s, you were still nervous. You were tangled up in this entire thing now. What if Steve didn’t come back up? This plan didn’t seem completely hashed out to you.
Eddie could see the concern painting your face and reached for your hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. You smiled at him, but the concern still lingered. What if it was Eddie instead? You didn’t know Steve that well, nor were you exactly friends, but what if it were Eddie diving down there, risking his life? The thought made you shiver.
“So,” Robin said, breaking the silence. “Are you two a thing?” She raised her eyebrows and motioned between the two of you.
“I-” you looked at Eddie, unsure of what to say. He was equally as speechless. You guys liked each other but nothing was established yet. Did you want to be with Eddie? Yes. Was it a bad time? Also yes.
“We- um-” he stammered, shifting his gaze from you to Robin and back again.
On the other end of the boat Nancy quietly let out a little breath of a laugh. She hadn’t said much and she wasn’t meaning to listen in but she did think it was kind of funny. She knew both of your statuses at school: you a cheerleader, he a so-called ‘freak.’ The dynamic somewhat reminded her of herself and Jonathan. She casted her gaze downwards when she began to think of her boyfriend that was across the country… and the fact that she was hanging out with Steve Harrington right now.
Robin wasn’t at all fazed by the response to her last question and had another one ready. “Tell me about yourself y/n.” She wasn’t trying to be nosy, she just needed something to talk about to get her mind off the fact that her best friend was yards underwater looking for a gate to the Upside Down.
“Oh um… I’m on the cheerleading squad. I don’t have any siblings or pets. I had a bunny when I was nine named Snowball though. I’m terrified of spiders. I babysit on the weekends usually.” You thought of random things to tell her, unsure of what exactly she wanted to know.
“I wish my parents let me have a pet when I was younger. They said I probably wouldn’t take care of it or I would lose it. Thinking back on it they were probably right. I’m a total klutz. I’m always getting into accidents.”
You nodded, having to focus on her intently to understand what she was saying since she was talking so fast.
“I’m in band and I play the trumpet. I’ve seen you cheer at games. You guys did really good at that basketball game by the way,” she smiled at you and you gave her a weary smile back. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Robin at all. Her off-topiciness didn’t even bother you. You were so worn out and your nerves were so shot you could barely comprehend how she was so energetic.
“Thank you. The band played really well too,” you replied. You turned to Nancy, who had been quiet the entire time. “Um- Wheeler, how long has it been?”
“Closing in on a minute,'' she quickly replied. She was keeping track of the time very closely.
You swallowed and nodded. Robin didn’t ask anymore questions, she just stared down at the water. “Come on Steve,” she muttered. There really wasn’t anything you could do until Harrington came up, unless one of you wanted to jump in, but nobody seemed to plan on doing that yet. You squinted up at the shore and were expecting to see the kids, but they were gone.
“Hey,” you nudged Eddie’s knee with your own. “Where did those three go?” You pointed to where they had been standing when the five of you departed in the boat. Your question raised the attention of Robin and Nancy too, making the three of them look out at the shore.
“Um… I don’t-“
Eddie was cut off by Steve emerging from the water with a large splash. Your stomach flipped and you jumped in your seat. The brunette boy next to you had the same reaction, mumbling “Christ,” under his breath.
Steve grabbed onto the side of the boat and took in lungfuls of air, but between them he said, “I found it.”
“You found it?” Nancy asked, leaning over the edge.
Steve nodded, “I found it. Yeah, I found it.”
Robin picked up the walkie-talkie and pressed the button on the side, “Dustin, you are a goddam Einstein. Steve found the gate.”
She didn’t get any response from the walkie but didn’t have much time to think about it because Steve started talking again.
“It’s pretty crazy. It’s more a snack-size gate than the mama gate, but still, it’s pretty damn big.” Just as a smile appeared on his face he was suddenly sucked under the surface of the water, but came back up again, just for him to be pulled back under a second later.
The four of you screamed. Your blood was pumping loudly in your ears and your heart was hammering in your chest.
“What the hell?” you screamed.
Nancy stood up and frantically started calling Steve’s name.
“Steve? Steve? STEVE?” the four of you started yelling.
“What the hell was that, man?” Eddie yelled, completely out of sorts.
“Nancy, really, what was that?” Robin yelled.
“Jesus!” Eddie exclaimed.
“What do we do? Where- what-“ you couldn’t put together a coherent sentence or even comprehend what just happened.
Eddie looked over at Nancy, who looked like she was about to jump into the water. “You’re not going in there are you?”
“Just wait here,” she ordered.
“Nancy!” the three of you yelled in tandem. She dove into the water without another thought.
“Damn it!” Eddie cursed.
You stood up and placed your hands on the side of your head. She was really going down there. If there was a gate down there, they were going into the Upside Down. They were going to the Upside Down.
Robin stood up too and started looking over the water.
“Are you jumping in too?” you asked.
She didn’t answer.
“No, no, no, no, no. What are you doing? Wheeler said to wait,” Eddie reminded her, eyes wide as he stared at her.
Robin turned around to look at you both. “Yeah I heard her.”
“She’s in charge!” Eddie exclaimed.
“Are you kidding me? I made that shit up.” Robin smiled, plugged her nose, then fell back into the water. Then there were two.
“Damnit!” Eddie yelled. “Son of a bitch! This is so stupid.”
“We’re going in too, aren’t we?” you asked, looking at him. He was clearly aggravated and very strongly did not want to go in but he nodded.
You squeezed his hand quickly and then dove in. The water was cold and sent a shock through your body initially. You kicked your legs and swam as hard as you could, heading straight for the bottom of the lake. You’d never been completely submerged in water fully clothed, and it made you feel very heavy. You neared the bottom and saw a glowing red light. That must have been the gate. All around it were tentacles or vine-like things. You reached towards it and pulled yourself through.
You landed on hard ground. When you looked around you were completely taken by surprise. The entire world- or whatever it was- was a blue tint. Little flakes of dust or feathers or something floated around all in the sky and those same vines from the gate covered the ground, pulsating. You stood up and saw Nancy and Robin running towards Steve, who was splayed on the ground. All in the sky bat-like creatures screeched and flew towards them.
Behind you Eddie came through the gate coughing up water. His curly hair was no longer frizzy, but instead went straight down his face from being wet and weighed down. He looked you over with concern, making sure you were alright before he looked around for a second to take it all in.
The two of you saw the scene ahead, and it looked like Nancy and Robin needed help. You grabbed a thick branch off the ground and ran forward to assist them.
A bat creature had its tail wrapped around Steve’s neck and you winced when you saw the bloody bite marks on his abdomen.
Robin was holding the bat down while Nancy smashed it repeatedly with an oar. It was hard to tell how much damage it was really doing to the creature, but it was thrashing around wildly.
A loud screech sounded from behind you and your head whipped around. More bats were headed towards you guys. “Oh shit,” you muttered. One in the front came straight for you and you swung at it with the branch, sending it a couple feet away but it was coming back.
Eddie was beside you fighting bats too, cursing and yelling at them. Nancy and Robin were still trying to get the bat off of Steve.
“Nancy behind you!” you yelled, seeing a bat about to get on her. She didn’t react fast enough and it latched onto her back.
You ran over and yelled “Nancy duck!” She bent low and you were able to swing your branch and knock the thing off of her. She nodded appreciatively and went back to helping Steve.
The bat from Nancy’s back flew towards you and you swung at it again, your branch connecting with its head. It hit the ground and you smashed it over and over. “God! You son of a bitch!” you yelled. Eddie was yelling similar expletives next to you as he swung at the creatures with an oar. There was a moment where no bats were coming at you, Eddie had just killed a bat, and Steve was throwing the one that had been strangling him onto the ground repeatedly before he ripped its head off.
The five of you looked at each other. You all looked rough. Steve still didn’t have a shirt on and blood was dripping down his mouth and sides. Everyone was dirty and wet, being dragged down by your clothes.
Nancy hurried over to Steve while she had a chance and you turned to Eddie.
“Jesus H. Christ!” he yelled. He huffed, chest heaving, but calmed down a little when he opened his eyes and saw you. He swallowed, “Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah,” you answered.
“This is crazy,” he said. He had his hands on his hips and he was looking out at this other dimension that was sprawled out in front of you.
“Yeah it is. I can’t believe something like this was under Hawkins.” You shook your head in disbelief.
“Uh, do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?” Robin asked. You turned around and she was crouched on the ground, using her flashlight to inspect one of those bats.
“What?” Steve asked. He had been bit by those bats, so if they did have rabies he was screwed.
“It’s just that rabies are like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should get you to a doctor soon because once symptoms set in, it’s too late. You’re already dead.” She was talking fast, probably because of nerves. You couldn’t blame her at all. This entire thing was batshit crazy and hard to wrap your head around. You were standing on the other side of Hawkins, the Upside Down, that had all these creatures and vines that looked like they were alive.
The loudest screech you had heard yet came from above. Behind the dark blue clouds the sky was red and glowing with what looked like lightning and it seemed like the noise was coming from there.
The five of you huddled together behind Steve, watching as a couple bats circled around a red glowing spot in the ground. “Okay, not that many,” Steve said. “We can take ‘em. Right?”
He had spoken too soon though. In the sky a big black blob was getting closer and closer.
“You were saying?” Robin asked.

Hey! I am wondering if I could request a headcanon of Eddie having like a softball player s/o or like one that plays a less popular sport at Hawkins High School. Thank you!!
thank you so much for requesting! i love the idea of eddie dating someone that plays a sport that doesn't get attention from the rest of the school
☆stranger things masterlist☆
Title: Playing a Less Popular Sport
Pairing: female reader x Eddie Munson
Warnings: fluff
A/N: Requests open, check my request rules and who I write for that’s linked on my navigation! My taglist is open and I would love it if you would like, comment, and reblog!
Tumblr media
eddie wasn’t the hugest fan of sports, particularly the people that played them
when you met him he was aware that you played softball and it didn’t really bother him. nobody made a big fuss about the Hawkins High softball team
he would definitely come to all your games (unless he has hellfire), and if you don’t have a game you go and watch him play DnD with his friends
he would cheer the loudest, getting a ton of stares but he didn’t care.
“WOO THATS MY GIRL!”
before the game when you’re doing your eye black he takes it and writes your number on his cheek
he would try to put it on his chest and raise his shirt up for everyone to see when you were up to bat. he was only able to do it once since he almost got kicked out of the ballpark for it
after games, if Hawkins won, he would take you out to get milkshakes or ice cream and sit in his van to eat them
if the team lost you would always be upset about it so you guys would go to his trailer or your house and watch movies and eat popcorn to feel better
win or lose, he would remind you how good you did. he would pinch your cheeks and smile at you until you smiled back and finally agreed with him
after a win all the hellfire guys would congratulate you (because eddie would brag about how good you played all day)
“i swear she’s the best on the team. she ran so fast, nobody on the other team could possibly touch her.”
all the guys kind of got tired of hearing a play-by-play of all the softball games but they all knew no matter what they said eddie would talk about it anyways
even though he wasn’t the one actually playing, he was cocky for you and how good you did
sometimes you guys would go to the ballpark or outside in a field and practice together
eddie found an old glove of his uncle’s so he would use that and toss the ball back and forth with you
when you first started playing together he always went easy on you because he didn’t want to hurt you but eventually you told him to give it his all
on game days you got to wear your jersey to school and he loved how pretty you looked in it, not to mention how you looked in your softball pants
he would learn how to braid just so he could braid your hair for games
he keeps a copy of your softball picture in his wallet to look at whenever he misses you (which is all the time)
whenever you were really tired and sore after practice he would give you a massage (he’s strangely good at it)
he was always aware of your schedule and knew when you had practice and games
all your friends on the team were skeptical of him at first because they had heard about his reputation, but he was nice to all the girls on the team and would help get everyone waters and things like that (he basically became the teams manager and personal cheerleader)

Sixty thousand years ago you were born from the volcano of Tsar. In the millions of years your family had been, there were none as powerful as you. Your mother and father had poured themselves into the planet's core, and met with many ancestors and holy ones to create you. The process took one hundred millenniums and thousands of devoted workers to mold and sculpt you into a perfect being. Gods from different galaxies and planets blessed you each and every day. When you were finally born most galaxies celebrated, others retaliated.
An uprising had been in the making, preparing for the day the ‘most powerful god’ would be created and inevitably rule everyone. You were too young to have control over your powers, so you had to be protected. Those brave enough would attempt to invade your planet, but all failed. It had taken thousands of powerful gods and creatures to create you, and they were not going to let you die at the hands of lesser beings. Soon enough they realized that no matter what they tried, they could never win.
After a few decades they–for the most part–gave up. There were some who were foolish enough to continue to try, but it was a very miniscule amount. Your upbringing was peaceful and prosperous. Hundreds of thousands of ethereal beings came to see you, and marvel at the future of their universe. They blessed you and bestowed you with many gifts from their own planets. Gold, silver, diamond, all to gain your favor when you took power.
Your powers began to manifest a few hundred years after your birth. Even at such a young age you were mighty and intelligent. You had a variety of powers that all stemmed from one thing: the ability to manipulate the ‘core’ of any and all living things. You could change the landscape of entire planets in the blink of an eye, or get into the minds of an entire army without breaking a sweat. Those were the powers that came from your consciousness.
You had abilities that involved your hands, like being able to conjure and create things from other materials by holding them. As a child you were raised with morals and ethics. Your family realized long before you were born that you could be the face of destruction if you were corrupt. Scholars from many galaxies came to educate you and teach you the vast history of the world and all its planets.
After your education you were sent off to a frugal, hardworking planet. You had no contact with your family or friends, and the population of Fiwur were unaware of who you were so you couldn’t receive special treatment. For many years you lived there, working for your food and shelter and realizing the importance of labor and industry. The experience was also to humble you, and show you how others lived. Your home planet was prosperous and teeming with riches, but your parents didn’t want you to be spoiled.
When you were fifty-five thousand years old you took the throne. It was a relatively smooth transition due to all the preparations that had been made. You traveled often, meeting a variety of smaller leaders across the galaxy and observing others from a distance. Interference with the other planets wasn’t something that was needed often at all. The galaxy was peaceful under your rule for the first five thousand years.
Heading into your sixth thousandth year you had felt uneasy and requested the help of scholars and magical beings to figure out what was brewing amongst the planets.
“Your highness, have you heard of the god, Loki?” Gazzar asked in his signature squeaky voice. He was an old man, hundreds of thousands of millennia older than you. He was shorter than the average height of beings on your planet, and had wiry purple hair. Despite his not-at-all menacing appearance and aura, he was a very talented wizard.
“Loki…” you thought for a second. The name sounded familiar but you couldn’t remember the god’s powers or home planet. There were a vast amount of planets and royal families that you couldn’t possibly remember them all. “I do not recall anything about him.”
“Well,” Gazzar said, wringing his hands nervously. “It appears that he is to arrive here soon. I cannot decipher his intentions though.”
“He is to arrive?” you repeated in question. There had been no word of this Loki coming to your kingdom. What was his intent? Could it be one of war?
“Yes, your highness. I’ve spoken with the others and they doubt he will come with malicious intent. Though with what we know about Loki…” he trailed off.
“Please do fill me in on him,” you said, encouraging your wizard to continue on.
“He is from Asgard.” Asgard, yes. That did ring a bell. “The God of Mischief. His older brother is Thor and in recent years he has become… rebellious towards his family. He feels he must… compete with his older brother, Odin’s son. He may have plans,” the purple haired man finished, rubbing his pointer finger and thumb together.
Plans? There was nothing on your radar about anything going on in Asgard. The reason you couldn’t remember was because it was peaceful there. When you were still a child you visited there with your father and mother. It was a beautiful place, you could recall.
“What are his plans Gazzar?” you asked.
“We- We do not know, your majesty.” He stared at you wide-eyed.
“Alright. Thank you, you may leave.”
He bowed to you, nose almost brushing the ground before he scurried off. A deep sigh left your mouth and your hand came up to rub the crease in between your brows. You didn’t even know when he was to arrive. All you could do was wait.
In the following days the impending visit remained in the back of your mind, troubling you enough that your parents and your advisors worried. The fateful day arrived though. You had been expecting an army to come with him, but you had been wrong. It was just him.
He had been greeted as soon as his ship landed, and then searched. You watched the eyes of one of the guards, getting a feel for how Loki may act before you actually met him. He had a devilish grin, that you were certain. It was no wonder he was the God of Mischief. He also looked like a God. His hair was that of a raven’s. His jaw and face structure was impeccable. If his face was that good looking you could only begin to imagine what the rest of him looked like.
Even though he was incredibly handsome, you could not be deterred or intimidated by such things. You yourself were a beauty. No mere mortal could ever look as you did. Because of your standing and your appearance you had seen and been with many men and women, just as striking as he.
When he approached the doors to the throne room you came back to yourself instead of looking through a guards eyes. Next to you was your mother and father, and lining the walls were your advisors. They had all come prepared for whatever was going to be thrown your way from the Asgardian prince.
The golden doors slowly opened, revealing the raven-haired god with the grin on his face, followed by several guards. They marched him to the front of the grand room until he was a few feet away from the stairs that led up to your thrones.
“Bow for Her Highness,” one of your guards commanded. Loki looked right in your eyes as he swept into a low bow. Not once did he blink, even as he stood straight again. It was obvious he was trying to charm you. He had a slight smile on his face and a glint in his eye that he made sure you were able to see. He acted casual and non-imposing. Whatever could he have come to you for?
“Address Her Majesty,” the guard said.
“Your Highness, I have come with a proposition,” he said. His voice was nice and velvety, with confidence laced through it. Who did he think he was exactly?
“Go on,” you said, waving with your hand for him to do so. No matter how hard Loki may try, he was not going to charm you. If anything, you were going to be the one breaking him. In your entire life you had never felt obligated to bow down to any man other than your father, and Loki was not going to change that.
“You see your majesty,” he began with a smile. “I, Loki, am the prince of Asgard, and I would like it if our two kingdoms could be joined as one in marriage.” The advisors broke out into quiet chatter, most likely discussing the proposition. It was shocking how he could say such a thing with a straight face. No, not a straight face, but one of assuredness. You had no idea how he had come to you, the most powerful god and ruler in the universe, and expected you to agree to something as dastardly as he had offered.
“Marriage?” you asked, laughing a little bit.
His facade broke just slightly and his face faltered. His smile disappeared for a moment in what seemed to be embarrassment. He had not expected to be met with laughter at his proposal. He was Loki after all. Men and women, mortals and gods, would sell their souls to be with him, yet here you were, amused.
“Yes, marriage,” he said, regaining himself. He stood tall and resumed looking you in the eye. You stared at him right back.
“And how exactly, would this benefit my kingdom and myself?” you questioned. There was no possible way that you could just go along with what he wanted. At least not yet. You could consider it, but it would take time. Something as big as a marriage, especially to you, could not be dealt with lightly. It would go down in history.
“You need to be married sometime don’t you? I find myself very capable of being your husband and standing alongside you as you rule over the galaxy.”
You almost laughed again but for his benefit, you stifled it. “I do not need to be married at all actually. If I were to get married it would be to someone I have chosen. And if or when I get married, they will not stand beside me, to rule. I will be doing it entirely on my own. It is bold of you to assume you could last a day in my shoes or as one of my advisors even.”
It appeared as if Loki had met his match. Not even his match, someone that could best him. Never in his life had anyone talked to him in such a way. When he decided to make the journey to your kingdom and ask for your hand in marriage he had not expected it was going to be so difficult, or that you weren’t so easily persuaded by his charm. You were clever, that he had realized. Was it worth it to continue trying? He was going to find out.
“I understand,” Loki said. He lowered his eyes and bowed. It seemed as if he were going to leave. You were almost bothered by how much of a waste of time this had been. All your worry for the past few days had been for nothing. It was a good laugh, but you had other things you could be doing.
Just as you were about to turn to your mother the Asgardian spoke again. “But may I at least ask, that you would consider it? Let me stay here and prove myself. I’m sure you shall change your mind.”
“What makes you so sure?” you asked, tilting your head slightly and blinking slowly. A smirk was on your face as you continued to be amused by this god. If anything, he could be a court jester. It had been many centuries since there had been one of those around the castle.
“I know myself, your highness. I believe that you could enjoy my company and find me… useful.” The way he said that last word made you think he was speaking of something that wasn’t about the kingdom’s affairs. Oh, was he cocky.
“Perhaps… Take him outside please, he can take a walk around the garden while we discuss.”
He bowed to you once more and before he turned to walk out said, “Thank you for your time your highness.” You didn’t reply, just watched as he walked the distance to the golden doors until he disappeared when they shut.
Your advisors converged to the middle of the room, eager to give their opinions on the matter. Before you spoke to them, you turned to your parents, whom you trusted more than anyone. “What do you think of it?”
Your mother said nothing for a second before a smile appeared on her face, making her look positively radiant. “I think you want to try this out,” she said. She had a mischievous glimmer in her eye, one that was similar to Loki’s, but carried no harmful intents. Your mother was a clever woman, and even as she got older she still loved to tease and joke.
“Father?” you asked, turning to him. He was stroking his beard, eyes narrowed. He was thinking.
“I believe this is your decision to make, dear. He would be your husband after all.” You wanted to groan. Of all times this was a time you wanted to hear your parents' opinions. Your father was the most opinionated person you knew, at least in private, and you had hoped he would have an earful to say.
“But he would be your son-in-law,” you countered.
“Y/n…” your father sighed. “It is not about us. If you think he is worthy, and you would enjoy his company then go right ahead. Have a trial, put him to work. At the end of it you can decide whether or not you want to keep him around. If you decide not to then you can look back and have a good laugh. When was the last time you were proposed to?” Oh yes, a good laugh. Despite being incredibly powerful people, your parents still valued a hearty joke. You had grown up nearly being teased to death.
“It’s been a few years,” you trailed off. A few years was an understatement. The last time a man tried to propose to you was on a visit to a royal planet just a few away from your own. You were staying for a week and the man in question was quite handsome, but that was about all he had going for himself. At dinner the day after you had slept together he began to weep, holding onto your hand and saying that the two of you were in love and had to be betrothed right away. You had snatched your hand away and asked if he was ill. His parents promptly apologized for their son’s behavior, pleading with you not to spite them. Of course you would never do such a thing, but your visit was cut short due to the incident.
Your father let out a hearty chuckle and reached for your hand. “Dear daughter, you can make this decision. Follow your heart.”
“...Alright.” You squeezed his hand and he smiled at you, his round cheeks red like apples.
“I think you should speak with them first though,” he said, gesturing towards all your advisors that were basically jumping up and down in anticipation for you to ask for their opinions.
“Gazzar.” You called on him first since he had been the one that warned you of Loki’s arrival.
The purple-haired wizard gulped. “W-Well, I think your majesty has no need for this God. He is mischievous, just as his title implies. He would cause nothing but trouble. Pure trouble.”
“Oh Gazzar hush you old fool,” Maylar interjected. “Your highness if I may.”
You smiled a little bit behind your hand. “You may.”
“I believe he will bring a change of pace around here. We have been doing things the same for many millennia. An old one such as myself would love more upbeat energy. He could… keep us on our toes.” It was just like Maylar to say something like that. He and Gazzar were the same age, but Maylar loved to say that he was young at heart. He had a long, well-kept beard with gold laced through it, and wore gold half-moon spectacles on the edge of his nose. He dressed exactly as you would imagine a wizard to dress as.
“That is all you think about isn’t it?” Croolm shouted from across the group. He was on the more conservative side of the spectrum when it came to running the kingdom. He thought nothing needed to change since the structure had not failed the planet yet. He wore exclusively red coats with dark gray fur. All his hair, including that which was on his chin was the same color as what was on all his coats.
“And what do you think about Croolm? Hm? Or do you think at all? It seems you are too busy disagreeing to possibly have any other thought in that brain of yours,” Maylar shot back.
Before the group could continue to argue you raised your voice, “Ladies and gentlemen.” They all fell silent. Your father smiled, proud of that simple show of power and authority that you had.
“We shall put it to a vote. Those who wish to have a trial for Loki to see if he is fit for such a role, please raise your hand.” You watched as some of your advisors raised their hands. You had fifteen advisors so there was no way it would come to a tie. “Are these your final decisions?” There was a collective ‘yes’ from the group so you began to count. One… four… seven… nine. Nine had voted yes. That settled it.
You looked to the back of the room, next to the golden doors where two guards stood. “Go get Loki, please.” They nodded once and departed from the room to fetch the Asgardian prince.
Your advisors dispersed, returning to their spots along the wall. You looked at Gazzar, who looked deeply troubled. You didn’t think too much of it since he always looked troubled or worried about something. You cast your gaze at others, some gave you pleased looks and others gave you ones of worry. It was really a variety, but mainly pleased or neutral facial expressions.
The doors began to open once more, pushed open by the same two guards that you had asked to find Loki. He walked at the head of the group, flanked by six of your guards behind him. He looked pleased. Surely he didn’t know the verdict. His smug expression made you want to laugh. You weren’t sure exactly what was so humorous about his cockiness. It could have been the idea of you putting him in his place soon enough.
“Your majesty, have you come to a decision?” he asked, voice light and airy with sureness.
“We have,” you verified. “My court and I have decided that you will be on trial. You will stay here, aiding me in whatever I ask, until I decide that you are worthy of being my husband.”
A wide smile crept onto his face. “You will not regret it, your majesty.”
“I would hope not.”
You dismissed your advisors and all the guards but two, leaving you, Loki, and your parents in the throne room. He just stood there, a few feet from the stairs, smiling at you. You were having an internal conflict inside you on whether or not you should personally walk him to his chambers or if you should ask a maid to take him. If you asked a maid to take him you wouldn’t have to see him again until dinner, but if you personally went with him you could talk one-on-one.
You stood up and started walking down the stairs, the end of your purple robe dragging on the floor behind you. You walked closer to Loki, heels shoes tapping on the floor as he straightened his posture. You were shorter than him, but your presence was intimidating. “Follow me.”
Two guards flanked you as you walked through the halls of your castle. The route to the bedrooms was very scenic and picturesque. The ceilings were fifty feet high, and the wall looking out over the kingdom had floor to ceiling iridescent windows. The light coming through made scattered rainbows along the marble floors and the opposite walls. Your home was as beautiful as you were.
“I knew you would agree to it,” was the first thing Loki said since you had started walking together.
You didn’t look at him. Instead you kept your eyes ahead of you. “How so?”
“Nobody can deny my charm,” he said simply. You didn’t need to look at him to know he was smiling. You could hear it in his voice.
“If charm is what you want to call it.”
“You’re trying really hard not to like me.” How could one man be so full of himself? What reason did he have to think he was so deserving of people’s attention?
You sighed and finally turned to look at him. He also turned to look at you too, a smile on his face. He was always smiling. “You think too highly of yourself.”
He chuckled, “I don’t think I do.”
“I don’t know exactly how you were treated in Asgard, but here, you are below me. I am in charge. I hold all the power. You have to earn your title and your place with me.” It wasn’t even a power play. You were just telling him simple facts. You also wanted to knock him down a few pegs.
“So… you enjoy people bowing down to you?” Loki asked. There was obviously an innuendo behind his words.
“Not necessarily.” You couldn't help the small smirk that tugged at the corner of your mouth.
“You like being in control.”
“Maybe I do.” The hidden meaning behind your words were evident. Both of you knew it too. There was nothing in the trial that said you couldn’t have sex. In fact, it would help him prove himself. After all, you would need to produce heirs, would you not? It would be an enormous benefit if the process was enjoyable.
“You can be in control if you would like. I wouldn’t mind at all, your highness.” You glanced at him, matching the glint that was in his eye. Maybe this could work after all. You grabbed his upper arm and pulled him into the nearest guest room. All the guest rooms looked the same. They were all ivory colored, down to the sheets and the towels in the bathrooms.
“Feisty, I like it,” he said, eyes skimming over you.
“Undress.” It was a simple command but it was all that needed to be said. You were going to be in charge and he was going to do what you told him to.
“Yes your majesty.” Along with the mischievousness, there was lust in his eyes. A hunger. He removed each layer of his clothing, green and black robes dropping to the floor in a heap. He climbed onto the four poster bed, displaying his body for you.
Your eyes raked over his naked form, drinking it all in. Just as you had guessed, he had the body of a god as well. His skin was smooth and perfect, his muscles were taught and toned. His length, that was the best part.
You walked closer to the bed and started undressing too. You were wearing more layers of robes so it took longer, but it made it more fun for you as the man in the bed was aching with anticipation. When the robes were all finally off he took in a sharp inhale of breath. His eyes raked over your body and his chest heaved. You were radiant. The most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes on.
“Y/n,” he groaned. It was wild how his entire demeanor could change in a matter of seconds. He went from cocky to submissive as soon as your clothes had come off.
“It’s ‘your highness’ to you,” you scolded.
“Yes, your highness.” He couldn’t tear his eyes away from you. You didn’t blame him.
“Now get up,” you ordered. He obeyed and slid off the bed, taking your place. You took a seat on the edge of the ivory comforter and opened your legs. You looked at him expectantly and he realized immediately what you wanted. He got down on his knees and lined his face up with your pussy.
He wasted no time licking it up and down, his saliva mixing with your wetness. He swirled around your clit and sucked on it lighty.
“You’re doing so good,” you purred.
The praise made him moan against your heat, causing you to let your head lull back from the building pleasure. Two of his fingers raised to your cunt and gathered some wetness. He stuck those fingers in his mouth, making them moist so they could slip inside you. He did just that and started curling them against your walls and pumping them in and out at an even pace.
You moaned lowly and he started going faster and added his mouth, so not only were you being fingered, but your clit was being sucked and rubbed. The hot, tingling sensation started building in your stomach.
“Just like that,” you moaned.
He listened and did what you said verbatim. So he was a good listener. The heat expanded and traveled lower until the bundle of nerves released onto Loki’s fingers and face. He moaned against you, licking up the fluid.
You put a hand on the side of his face, stroking it. “Good job.” He smiled and raised up to sit on the bed beside you. You captured his lips in a heated kiss as you pushed back into the pillows. You climbed on top of him, straddling his lap and hovering over his cock. He planted his hands firmly on your hips as you slowly sunk down onto him, all the way to the base.
He groaned loudly, mouth falling open in a perfect ‘o.’ His black hair fanned across the pillows, contrasting with the ivory silk.
“You look so pretty,” you smiled, rolling your hips and moving up and down. He could barely string together any words to make a sentence so instead he just moaned. You didn’t scold him for not using his words since you were enjoying yourself so much. The feeling was completely mutual. Loki had never felt so much pleasure in his long, long life. Everything about you called to him.
You kept riding him at a quick pace. His hands were clenching your hips, undoubtedly leaving bruises but that didn’t bother you. You were about to send him over the edge but he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to cum inside you. He was trying his hardest to hold it back and you could tell how much he was aching to let it out.
“Cum for me Loki,” you purred.
A wave of relief spread through his body when he finally released his liquid inside you. It coated your walls and dripped down his cock when you slid off. While he was still coming down from his high you walked to the bathroom stark naked, swaying your hips on the way to the door. You took a washcloth from the golden wall holder and turned the warm water on, soaking the cloth in it.
You walked back to the bedroom and climbed back into the bed, gently cleaning the cum off of Loki’s groin. He stared at you in awe at the change from your dominating personality to this. He had expected you to lay down and make him go clean you up, but that wasn’t the case. Normally for you, that was the case. You made the men you bed to wait on you hand-and-foot, which none had dared complain about. They were lucky enough to sleep with you; they weren’t going to push their luck.
“What?” you asked, laughing lightly.
“You sure are something,” he responded.
You smiled at him. “So I’ve heard.”
“So your highness… Does this mean I pass?” His cocky smile had returned. “This is far from over Loki.”
