How is your island funded? With such facilities it seems rather crazy that it would be able to sustain over the funds gained from the various events especially since many seem to be free.

A combination of Private donors, Government funded research programs, fun raisers, and building rentals. The hotel, ans all shops and seasonal vendors pay a fee to rent on the grounds, and capitalise off the heavy footfall, while offering services and goods. While we offer free courses as often as possible, there are also paid ones, and training to students willing to work hard, and thus we get subsedies from education programs that way too, along side payment for specialised classes, or limited exhibits. For example, we hold an Orchid show in the winters that you have to pay for, buying a ticket gets you into a secret show. This is one of many examples. Along side the solid store vendors we also hold regular events that bring in others crafts and sellers, so tables and shacks set up, each renting space.

Theres also the pokemon training schemes where our staff work closely with species who can work with other pokemon or humans off island, adopted out to assist in healthcare or environmental studies and sustainability. This program is paid for.

Along side this adoptions have fees, so anyone who finds a pokemon here and they get along, will have to cover a small cost.

It's a collection, and thankfully we have a fair few donators who keep us floating, seeing the purpose of the work done.

What is the maximum amount of support pokemon for a person? Like can I just have a team of pokemon just helping me while I have a seperate team of pokemon to battle with? Of course they will have their free time (obviously), but I really just like the idea of multiple pokemon just following me around like a posse. Thanks!

While most officials in various regions will not be comfortable with any one trainer carrying more than 6 mons around, each case has a varying degree of leniancy.

The rules tend to circulate the notion that if you cannot care for the pokemon you have, and keep them in good health, then you may need a human assistant instead. This is a two way street as they also need to keep you safe and well too, but you are still their primary care giver, and it should never be seen the other way around.

Most regions limit assistant mons while travelling to three, but you can apply for varying paperwork to increase that number, and plead your case to a board of selected local specialists in that field of work. The most i've ever seen was a team of 5 care mons, and four fighting pokemon for a battle circuit. I have heard of more being utilised, but never seen it personally.

If you arent travelling then the number can increase, especially if you live in a secure environment with your care pokemon. With adequate space, time, funds and resources, you may keep many pokemon with you at home as care assistants, given they're provided for.

All that matters is your paperwork is up to scratch, and that your care pokemon are being treated with due respect and concern. If you have that in place, can give them the correct time and energy, and can prove you need as many as you think you do, then most places are allowing.

Sharpedo-Variant(whale shark)

“Whale Shark” Sharpedo are regional variant evolution of Carvanha found through much of the worlds open temperate and tropical oceans roughly one out of every 4000 Carvanha from these populations will evolve into this variant. Possessing a generally friendly disposition compared to their standard counterparts. They are filter feeders with a diet, consisting, mostly of algae and various phytoplankton‘s ,with a general lifespan, between 80 and 130 years. A Water/Fairy type Pokémon they generally possess the abilities, cute charm, Water veil ,or water absorb.

Interesting Species

Now I don't talk too often about some of the unusual species we have around Sinnoh because a lot of trainers would try to catch rare or unusual species.

We had to keep some of these a bit of a secret for a while because of how badly people would be trying to go out of their way for them. (Let's not forget the shiny Metagross situation)

However, I've seen plenty of responsible trainers here, so I don't see a problem in sharing some educational information from around Sinnoh.

Underground Bugs

Now it's not too irregular for bug types to spend time underground, but due to our Underground Hideouts, a lot of abandoned areas have been taken over by bug types that don't usually spend a lot of time underground.

Kricketune have taken over a small area that allows them to play music much louder. They love the acoustics.

We have found a difference in music and size, some surprising increases in power.

Their musical style seems to change as well, diversified by deeper sounds that can hit way harder.

However, they seem to have developed an intolerance to the sun, so we don't advise people trying to catch these guys.

Sea Ekans

One thing that a lot of trainers don't expect are land based pokemon that suddenly appear in water.

Although not native, some Ekans and Arbok seem to have taken to swimming near some lakes close to the Marsh.

Since the marsh is partially flooded, any viper like pokemon would need to adjust to the larger abundance of water in their hunting ground.

Ekans and Arbok have become a slightly more recurring sight on the Marsh shores, prompting some people to assume they are actually part water type, when they actually have just adapted to the environment pretty well.

Spiritual Fighters?

People know Lucario as being a powerful fighting type pokemon with mastery over Aura Manipulation. However, there is a deeper, spiritual side to fighting, which seems to be something a lot of fighting types have been practicing.

We have observed many roaming fighting types traveling to more sacred places in Sinnoh and practicing new fighting styles.

Out of respect for their training, I choose not to disclose where they would go, but I find this to be very impressive, and I wonder what might come from this.

These are only some of the unique pokemon behaviors I have seen, and some of these guys I do have regular interactions with.

The Ekans especially has become a reoccurring visitor, The Duke seems to find them a worthy opponent.

Pokemon Crossbreeds: Fold

(Name was inspired by @fametheoryart , but I didn't see how similar they looked until the sketch was done 🥲)

Fold (also known as the Kalosian fold) is the name for members of the Skitty kine with an Espur/Meowstic father. They were named after their ears becoming folded.

Skitty

Fold Skitty have fluffier tufts of fur and, of course, folded ears with white tufts at the end. While they are still playful, they can be a lot more weary.

Delcatty

Depending on the gender, fold Delcatty's pattern and other physical features can change. Male Fold Delcatty have white tufts at the end of the ear, the standard Delcatty fur color, and spikier blue colored fur tufts on their pillows, while female fold Delcatty have lighter fur and more curly fur. They're known for being more moody. While their ears are kept folded, they don't hide any psychic powers and are safe to open.

Attention Trainers!

A very unique migration will be occurring over this weekend.

If you take a trip down the eastern Sea Side, you might see a river of glowing lights.

A large group of biolumensent pokemon (lanturn,Finneon,Tentacool, etc) will be migrating from cooler seas near Kalos to warmer seas near Hoenn for the winter season.

Reports have said that this will be one of the biggest migrations, so catch this event if you are able to.

We would love to hear of see your experience from this event, so send us any experiences you have this weekend!

Professor Kryspyn: “You know the best part about working here in the Rejuven Archipelago? Its definitely the fond memories we get to keep with each of our patients and inhabitants. I was just doing some early attic cleaning back at the Lodge with Grandma Rue, when we found our box of photo albums. And this happened to be the photo that fell out of the thick book. This was taken a while back, during the late fall and the winter chill was coming in, and the heater in our Sector A adoption center had broke due to some wiring issues.” 

“So, we did some reshuffling and took some Pokémon into our main house to keep them warm, personally this is one of my favourites. Sole, who is Grandma Rue’s Absol had allowed the trio to take her bed to keep warm, I couldn’t help myself and take a picture of all of them together. Oh man, now I’m starting to miss my snuggle buddies. This was way before Hydrus the Zweilous was adopted by Rexi of the Titomoth Region - @dragonofthenorth​.” 

“Snuggling with him on his back is Hibiscus, the Mimikyu. She is a sweet little thing, loves giving people luau necklaces, and dancing with the Pau’u Oricorio. And the one beside Hydrus, snuggling into his arm is Luna, the moonstone Sableye. She doesn’t enjoy battling, but she is an excellent cuddle buddy! burying under blankets and sweaters, she is the best confident when your feeling blue.” 

“Get the joke? Cause she’s pewter blue… you know what never mind. Anyway, I’m sure Hibiscus and Luna are missing their cuddle buddy, and are still awaiting for the day they too find a trainer who wants to partner up with them just like Hydrus.”

today on "how can I combine my interests": variations of volcarona based on stellar classification!

actual stars are classified based on their spectral characteristics and temperature/color from hottest (bluest) to coldest (reddest) with a strangely ordered letter system: O, B, A, F, G, K, M... why not do the same for this stellar moth?

some other info:

o-type volcarona are incredibly rare and are considered "shiny" pokemon

m-type volcarona can come in the largest variety of sizes from large enough to easily carry a person to about the size of a cat

k-type volcarona are the most common, with the higher temperature ones becoming increasingly more rare (and m is about as rare as g)

while there could be b- and a-type volcarona between o and f, the latter two are so rare that there's no reason to split the categories up further

alder's volcarona is the g-type one shown here, and the m-type one belongs to cyrus in my au

the pupa/cocoon stage is too short relative to the other two stanges to be considered its own separate evolutionary stage like other similar bug type pokemon
