Can I explain why I love Spencer James so much? It won’t take long. HE’S NICE. How he talks to people? Is just so comforting and it’s why people feel warmth from him. For a main character, this man is consistently and genuinely so kind. He leads with kindness and compassion and understanding first and then you gotta push him. It’s not like you have to have him COME AROUND to support you. He supports first. He leans towards love first. That’s a good man

The reception of the TikTok edit has had me kicking my feet and cackling.
What NK and co. failed to realize is that our criticisms of the past couple seasons weren’t just us being angry stans who only care about shipping. Those criticisms were valid concerns for the story and direction of the show, but they wanted to wave us off and continue to act like they’re crafting great narratives that the audience will love.
Yes, there are always going to be viewers who throw a hissy fit online because they want the show to cater to their nonsense, but just because they’re loud doesn’t mean they’re the majority.
The actual majority are real fans. Real fans—the ones that have been actually invested in the primary focus of All American and left when that focus was neglected— who know what’s up, and they have never failed to express what truly makes the show great. Even if it’s displayed in 1mil+ likes.
Tumblr media
I’m watching those numbers climb fast as fuck on that tik tok and I can’t do nothing else but LAUGH. Like who would’ve thought? Who would’ve thought that all people wanted from this show, was what the show was always about anyways, and that’s Spencer and his football journey. Whooo would’ve thought? Oh I know… ME. US!!! They in that comment section saying how tuff Spencer is and how All American making a comeback like y’all actually don’t understand how vindicated I feel right now. I hope NK and her clowns feel like idiots. You wouldn’t be wondering if you’re getting a season 7 right now if you had stuck to the plot in season 4 and 5. But you wanted to be petty and double down right?. Bet. I hope this is the last season and I hope he and Olivia get a spin-off that doesn’t fucking include you

“It’s Jordan’s time to shine! Finally, someone notices his greatness!” Whole time his daddy issues are being preyed on and he’s being manipulated.
Y’all not rooting for him for real.

Imo, fans who actually think Jordan’s behavior is fair and that he has a moral high ground on other characters (Spencer, Olivia, and Layla) are either stuck on their attraction to the actor, or are Jordans themselves.
You can tell by their justifications of his lack in emotional intelligence that they can relate.
Jordan is definitely shaping up to be this seasons villain. Like how are you going to intentionally sabotage Spencer's numbers?
With friends like Jordan who needs enemies?
And I am side eying who is applauding Jordan's behavior.
I genuinely pray that I don't have "friends" like Jordan.

Right!
Wedding planning this, wedding planning that—what is the PLAN, Jordan?!
Who’s paying for all of this, Jordan? Where are y’all going to stay after the honeymoon, Jordan? Are y’all going apartment shopping, Jordan? Do y’all have the same taste in interior decoration, Jordan? What are your career goals after college, Jordan? Do your political views align, Jordan? What is your stance on having children, Jordan? What is HER stance on having children, Jordan? What specifically about her makes you want to spend the rest of your life with her, Jordan? Can she say the same about you, Jordan?
What about the bad days? The big arguments? How do you plan on navigating those, Jordan? Because you certainly can’t go about them the same way you are now. What about the days where Layla, being the entrepreneur she is, might be too busy to play the role of a wife you’ve envisioned? Late nights and long meetings? Guys like Ryan that she will spend a lot of time working with? You still haven’t faced your insecurities; what were to happen if her career was going better than yours? If she’s the breadwinner? When reality doesn’t match up with your expectations? Then what? Jordan?
It’s so obvious that Jordan wants to get married for the aesthetic of being married, and not because he’s actually ready for it. People do this all the time: they get caught up in the bliss and the love and dive head-first into marriage without actually having a strong enough foundation to navigate that next chapter in life. They don’t think about what happens after they say “I do.”
Jordan, himself, admitted he doesn’t want the responsibilities of being in the spotlight that Spencer has (even though he’s craving that level of validation). Well, sir, how are you going to handle the responsibilities of a HUSBAND. Marriage is a completely different lane, and Jordan still has strides to make as a boyfriend before he can call himself somebody’s spouse.

One thing about me: I’m this boy’s LAWYER. The haters can try to sabotage, and the audience can act obtuse, but Imma back Spencer James ALWAYS, and have the receipts ready.
Got on my Spencer James defense uniform today because y’all not bout to piss me off. What we not gon do is make Spencer feel guilty for dreaming big OR for being the best on that field. Because he’s right and he’s allowed to say it. The man saved 3 different football programs. Carried them straight to state. Got shot and came back better than ever. And y’all want him to be humbled??? HE IS THE BEST. Jordan and whoever else just gotta suck it up. Remember, no weapon formed against Spencer James shall prosper

Exactly!
And HEAVY on Kenny. Sir, instead of getting in Spencer’s face every opportunity you find, how about you handle the snake in your garden? Mac is out here moving shady, about to stir up further discord, and you tryna school somebody about teamwork. Spencer’s being purposely left out of plays—where’s the teamwork in that, Kenneth?!
Man’s so worried about “I’m Him!”, he need to be worried about losing his job.
Mac’s plays excluding Spencer completely makes no sense to me. Especially since it was a practice. I don’t know much about American football but in my mind not throwing to Spencer is only gonna be unpredictable for so long. Soon enough the other receivers and Jordan are gonna be an easy target once they realize Spencer is no longer a threat. There’s also no guarantee those plays will work in an actual game against actual defense, so wouldn’t the most logical solution be also creating offensive plays that ensures Spencer gets free and able to get the ball for when they need him?? Correct me if I’m wrong btw cuz like I said I don’t know much about this sport. That’s why I’m questioning Mac’s motives because I can’t be like he’s here to win games. It feels personal
And I’m sorry but is Kenny the head coach or not because he’s moving like a BITCH. Why was he up in Spencer’s face like that instead of setting Mac straight??? Spencer was right. He should still feel like he’s a part of the practice. To not throw to him at all is insane. He still has to practice running routes and catching a fucking football
