My absolute favourite are Brachypelma emilia :)

Spiders are not my area of expertise but I’ll do my best

1. Jumping spiders. Cute, tiny, can teleport

2. Wolf spiders. When I go for walks at night I can see their eyes shining and it’s very cool

3. Long-horned orb weaver. Seems excessive

4. Giant bird-eater. Why are you so fucking big.

5. Obviously the tarantulas that keep frogs as pets, they’re great

Tried drawing a Sepioteuthis last night and despite the 2 attempts, both ended up looking like truck nuts to me. There are other issues with proportion and all that, but whatever, it's practice. They really do look bulby on the bottom like that sometimes.

It’s good to be mindful about how you’re spending your time and make sure that you’re not just wasting time in a rut doing things that don’t matter.

So that’s why, when you’re lying in bed and there’s important stuff you’re supposed to be doing but instead you’re just there scrolling away on your phone, it’s important to stop and think: this is great. I'd like to introduce everyone to this little fella!

This is most likely an eastern cottontail, though there is some debate that it may be a new england cottontail but that's unlikely.

Now normally I am very against feeding/interacting with wildlife on regular occasions but this guy is a special case.

See I'd been going out to put seed out for wild birds for a few months now, sitting nearby to take pictures of them to the point that they'll land around me, fly over when they hear my footsteps and just have a general understanding that I'm not going to hurt them.

Then I notice a little bunny hop out from under the brush a bit wary, but I stay still so I don't scare it and can hopefully get some pictures. He ended up, over a few days getting more familiar and eventually tipping over the scoop I use for the bird feed while being less than a foot away.

It really is a neat thing for wild animals to come to the understanding that you aren't going to hurt them, just enough trust to hang around you.

He's absolutely adorable and I love this little fella
