Diviner - Summon power from the world around you to cast spells on the things and people around you
Your connection with natural magic in the world around you means you can channel its energy to cast magic outwardly, this means you can summon earthquakes and change the flow of water.
Apoths - Summon power from the world around you to cast spells within the things and people around you
Your connection with natural magic in the world around you means you can harness its energy within potions and tinctures. This allows you to cast magic inwardly both on yourself and others you choose. For example you can make a healing potion for your friends or a cursed tincture for your foes.

i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away
there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

But what in the stars is a Spydeer?
They're quite fantastic creatures, if a touch on the spooky side! They start life as tiny as your little finger nail. Many in the city of Astrovale are short lived - surviving for only a few years or so... But others, out in the wilds of the Echowoods, can live for hundreds of years, shedding their carapace each winter and growing larger with each cycle.
Shed skins have been found out in the wilderness towering up to 13 ft tall.
Live Spydeer are shy, and relatively harmless while small. Larger Spydeer can be dangerous predators, and will catch a wide variety of prey. Some witches are known to have befriended and tamed young Spydeer, and great Diviner Witches of legend are said to have formed a strong enough bond over many years to ride them.
What do you think? Would you try to befriend a Spydeer, or would you be running in the other direction as quickly as you could? :p

This week's feature from The Mysterious Misfortune of Molly O'Malley is...Berkia! 🔥🔥🔥
Here's an extract from the book where we meet Berkia for the first time...

Berkia was Ana's Auraide. Ana, of course, manifested her Auraide early, right before she turned nine. She'd won a flame-casting competition, and just like that, Berkia burst forth. Auraides are born of the magic of the witch they belong to. They serve as an extension of that witch's magic glamour and strengthen their witches’ powers. It was fitting that Ana's Auraide was a glorious phoenix. Ana ushered Molly through the door. Berkia gave a shrill cry, flapped her wings, and transformed. Molly was always awestruck by Berkia's transformation. All Auraides transformed, of course—but Berkia’s was something special to witness. She burst into flame and flung herself toward Ana, wrapping her form all around Ana’s body. Berkia's choice of form when composed like this was a beautiful golden gown. The long garment Berkia became was imbued with fiery magic, and while wearing her Auraide like this, Ana’s already strong Will powers blossomed into an inferno. The glittering train of the gown splayed out behind Ana, and the front of it looked ablaze, adorned with glittering jewels and feathers in all shades of red, orange, yellow gold, and white. It was remarkable in every single way. The graceful sleeves and tight-fitting bodice only made Ana look more imposing. Molly’s heart ached with envy whenever she saw Ana wearing Berkia like this.
