Johnny Depp is starting a revolution for the men who have been abused who either never spoke out for fear of backlash or those who did speak out and were not taken seriously. His winning this case(even if he doesn’t but I pray he does) will give more men the courage they need to speak up and share their hurt and it makes me so happy that mens abuse will be taken more seriously than before (not putting women’s abuse at all, just clarifying that. I’m happy they’re going to be treated equally)

something i’ve been thinking about with the wilds is how different the hierarchy is in the two groups. with the girls, dot is given the leadership position because she has the most survival knowledge. she’s also shown to be good in a crisis and thinking on her feet. she’s almost always cool headed. it makes sense for her to be the leader. whereas with the boys seth seizes control and the others go along with it. with the girls, dot might be seen as the leader but it’s clear that she’s not some be all authority. we see the others take charge at times too. shelby with planning dot’s birthday, fatin with keeping leah in check, rachel when marth slips into catatonia. with the boys after seth is banished (again lmfao) the boys are lost. everyone expects kirin to step up because he has a more dominant personality to the others but even he seems kinda lost. i feel like this is another example of how gretchen’s choice of operative ruined the boys. norah doesn’t really insert herself and this allows the girls dynamic to develop naturally with dot assuming a leadership role because she’s the most qualified but with the boys seth just takes control and sets the boys off on a clear path of failure because once he’s gone the second time they’re lost. ivan rallies them to play frisbee but even then he’s hardly taking on the role of leader and calling the shots. with the girls if dot was gone, one of the others could be trusted to lead. rachel would be the second choice most likely, then fatin probably, then shelby. leah is smart but i think even she knows she wouldn’t be good as a leader. toni doesn’t have a cool enough head and martha bless her has gotten stronger but i can’t see her giving orders as a leader. the boys after seth it would go kirin and then that’s it. raf is too wishy washy to lead them and after not standing with josh they wouldn’t trush him to lead anyway and ivan can be bossy but he butts heads with the others too much. i wouldn’t trust any of the others either. henry is knowledgeable but far too passive to lead, scotty doesn’t know when to shut up, josh is far too anxious and bo has the same issues as martha. i’m just really obssesed with the way leadership is shown in the separate groups.
