I have WEIRD feelings about this song.

I heard it in this form for the first time in a TikTok video reposted on a tumblr.

I recognised the music immediately as having been sampled by the Fugees in 'Zealots', and that kinda startled me, but it was a good 'oh, this is where that comes from' kinda thing

BUT THEN

I was PUNCHED in the FACE by the lyrics: "Are the stars out tonight? I don't know if it's cloudy or bright, I only have eyes for you, dear"

It spun my head, because now I know where that line from Pi came from!

I knew it was a song, obviously, but my gosh.

IDK why but it shook me a little. Love it.
