Hello!!

I saw that you went to ERAU & I plan on going there as well. I’m a female poc & from what I’ve seen it’s supposed to be super inclusive but I was just wondering what your experience was like.

I’m going to Embry-Riddle pretty much regardless, but I’d still like to know what I’m really getting into if that makes sense?

hey !! first of all, congratulations !!

I can only speak on the Florida campus, as I've never been to the AZ one. it is a very diverse student body, and there are a multitude of clubs and organizations you can join that are specially designed to fit almost any demographic on campus. I think the diversity and inclusion department of administration does a pretty good job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable on campus. there are cultural celebration events frequently hosted by various student organizations aimed to display and appreciate the different backgrounds and ways that the students interact with one another.

I will say, however, that as a woman, it is not the best place I could ask for. there are some problems with staff members or other students being blatantly sexist, whether that be verbal comments or just the way you are treated in class. it's never been a big enough issue for me to feel like it's impacting my education, but it is enough to be a downer when you consider that ERAU is supposed to be a pinnacle of next-level education and provides the world with some of the "top minds."

I don't know what program you're going into, and this is purely based on my personal experience as a white woman in the aerospace engineering program. everyone's experiences will be different.

I feel so gross and discontent with myself bc I've gained weight and the shorts that used to be loose on me are now properly fitting and the shirt I used to feel fine wearing now feels too revealing. I wish I weren't as conscious of it as I am but having a fucking blood disorder that limits my ability to work out has left me with no way to avoid the gain, even a fucking dieting ritual has done nothing for me
