I love your PFP
Ty! I made it ages ago, back when I thought I needed a "logo" type thing to put on my comics/art stuff. I never used it very much for that, but I still like the lil guy.

I ended up making my own set of Drawtober prompts, because I couldn't find a new list that gave me the stuff I wanted, like from your Weirdtober prompts; could you check it out, maybe share it if you think it's the kind of thing your followers might be interested in? https://pomrania.tumblr.com/post/696130404636295168/here-are-three-different-prompt-lists-i-made-for
Nice!

do you plan to do a weirdtober list this year?
Hmmm that's a ding dang good question. Probably depends on ideas and energy. If not there's always previous years' lists!

Recently, I was looking online for a specific pride flag, a small 8x5.5" one. Most of the flags that size I found online were sold in packs, and I ended up impulse-buying a variety pack with the thought I'd find some use for all the extra ones later.
A few days afterwards, the obvious answer came to me:
So I'm selling these hand painted pirate pride flags in my shop now!
Will also paint other things on them upon request -- some examples shown in the listing are pronouns, zodiac, d20, unicorn, lighthouse, "Be Gay Do Crime" and others.
FAQ or more accurately questions I anticipate being asked:
Will you put this design on an Ace/Aro/Genderfluid/Other flag that isn't here?:
If I sell like five of these and if people ask for them, yeah. Basically the varieties I have available are just the ones that were in the pack I bought, so I'd just need enough interest to justify the cost of more materials.
Why aren't you selling sticks to go with the flags?:
Shipping, tbh. If I sold the sticks it'd need to be sent as a parcel, and it'd need to be long enough to hold the stick. The shipping would cost more than the flag itself.
Will you put a custom phrase/design on a flag for me?:
Hell yeah, message me on Etsy and we'll arrange it. (I reserve the right to turn down a custom design, but I'm only likely to do that if it's TERFy or exclusionist. Or like, idk, a swastika or something obvious like that. If it's very intricate I may suggest simplifying it.)

life hack from art school: instead of saying you cant draw something or that you dont like something about your art, just say the element “wasn’t working”
had to change a pose because it was too difficult to draw? it “didn’t work” compositionally!
feel like something is off about the background? it doesn’t suck, it’s just not working for the piece!
art is all about finding ways to convey an idea or emotion in a VERY subjective way, so thinking about it in terms of “working/not working for this piece” instead of “good/bad” is very helpful for me personally. it’s a small step you can take towards having a healthy outlook on your work!

Horror fans: Lol these characters are so dumb if I was in a scary story I'd be sure to survive.
Also horror fans: "Don't Read This Book It's Cursed" is a pretty gimmicky title but I guess I'll check it out.

Ahh, October is over. Time to stop celebrating the Halloween season and go back to my normal, other eleven months of the year fixation on the horror genre.

Because I crave validation on the internet: have you seen the stuff I've been making from your 2019 prompt list?
Oooh! I hadn't, but that's some real neat stuff! :D

Weird question but are you doing a weirdtober promptlist this year? I just found out about the previous years lists and they are fantastic. If not would you mind if someone else made a promptlist to continue it?
I don't think I have the energy in me for it this year, sadly. That said anyone is more than welcome to make a promptlist, or use either of the previous years' prompts! Go nuts!

Today I learned that Junji Ito has absolutely made the day of several horror artists I follow by reacting to and praising their art on an internet video. Imagine the architect of one's fondest nightmares smiling down upon the lovable abominations one has wrought. Join me in second-hand enjoyment of their delight.
