Back when I was writing Sonic OCs, I tried shipping Psya with Shadow, but never committed to 2 reasons: 1, inhibition by cringe culture instilled at an impressionable age, and 2, not really being sure how to write it.
Because Shadow is a difficult character to write. He's a unique kind of morally ambiguous and a unique kind of emotional. How do you do that justice?
Well, Psya x Shadow still isn't going to happen in my fanon, (especially since as I consider rebooting those OCs again, I probably won't bring back their Sonic counterparts. Or I might for Psya at least, who knows?) but I've figured out how I would write Shadow for a romance, and maybe I'll write my own Shadow x reader fics from my ideas.
Okay prelude aside, here's what I have in mind:
-So realistically, if Shadow fell in love, he'd avoid it, because he knows he would lose them, and he knows he couldn't handle the pain of losing someone again.
-But say he went for it anyway, what he would be like. Well, for one thing his love language for certain is acts of service.
-He has his guard up at first, but as he gets closer to you, he'll start to talk about deep existential thoughts with you.
-Of course, it's still Shadow so he's still a grump, but with you he's a gentle grump.
-He wouldn't be romantic, but he would be deeply passionate. He doesn't know what to do with that he loves you, yet he loves you more than he is able to express.

Thanks for the tag, that's so thoughtful! 💖
ehem... Hello !! How you doing? Can I ask you? How does a great artist like Steel deal a creative block? An environment that requires constant creation and use of imagination despite fatigue, stress, and health or personal problems can exhaust some people in general, making their work more difficult and less pleassant.
Hi Anon, Thanks for reaching out! Sorry I also didn't see this question until now, this was asked last month and I have not been looking at Tumblr very carefully. I've actually had a lot of ups and downs with creative production over the past few recent years. Two of the factors that affected it the most was actually health and energy, among other things. The best advice I can give in that situation is to deliberately, very pointedly take time, and make space, to look out for yourself first. Take care of yourself. Schedule a do nothing day for yourself.
Rest. Don't force anything. Get away from noise, get away from anything that is a source of stress, carve out space and restorative peace that is tailored for your mind and body, and keep your boundaries up. If your mind and body can't heal/repair, nor passively soak in inspiration and ideas from things you enjoy in life, it will always be an uphill struggle to create. If you're already burned out, running on fumes, forcing yourself to create anything will feel like a chore, or more pressure added to your existing pile of pressure, and thus may result in a block. You don't want your area of creation to be another force of pressure/misery - it's ideally a space where you can feel flow and natural joy, or more of an escape from other stressors in your life.
It might sound like very stereotypical "I know, duh, whatever" advice, but your ability to create and be productive in that area, diminishes every time you overexert yourself, or try to push yourself past your personal limits. (And that specific limit is different for everyone).
tl;dr; Rest.
I have other go-to tips for getting jumpstarted on creative stuff when you're stuck, but I think rest would be my top one if you're in an environment of pressure. Let me know if you want elaboration on other tips if this doesn't apply to you at all.

Big Hero 6 film analysis: Baymax is the manifestation of Hiro's five stages of grief:
Stage 1: Denial - When Hiro stubs his toe and accidentally activates Baymax.
Stage 2: Anger - When Hiro installs fighting data into Baymax.
Stage 3: Bargaining - Hiro believes that he will feel better when Baymax catches Yokai.
Stage 4: Depression - This plan fails and Baymax shows Hiro clips that he has of Tadashi when he was building him.
Stage 5: Acceptance - Leaving Baymax in the void and then rebuilding him symbolizes that Hiro has finally moved on.

it’s so weird to me how there’s cliques and hierarchies within fandom spaces these days like. we’re all just fucking nerds. how are you gonna try to be popular amongst the nerds. how are you going to feel superior over your fellow nerds. at the end of the day you’re still a fucking nerd bestie

I watched the new Mean Girls. I came for the Plastics and stayed for Janis and Damien, they carried that movie on their backs XD
Is it as good as the original? Of course not, but it's silly fun. And I'm glad I actually gave the movie a chance rather than just listening to the video essays.

It's interesting because I thought it was an AI thing for why Teto and Xia Yu Yao get to keep their Utau vbs. Guess it's a Vocaloid thing.
I don't like the term "moving engines" because in most cases it's not true, but I guess the one case that is true is Utau to Vocaloid.
Although, Vocaloid does still sound robotic. I wonder what will be done about Utaus (or maybe even DiffSingers) that get Maghni versions.
Rip to rou's old Utau banks but I'm not surprised Yamaha would mandate that seeing how protective they are of their brands

the creators struggle of "yes I absolutely made this for myself and I should absolutely appreciate that I made this thing that turned out amazing and be proud of it on that merit alone" vs "man it'd be cool if everyone liked this thing I made as much as I do"

Updating because I'm finding that people actually like it. It's actually nice because I've been so hard on this song.
So, if you follow my YouTube, you know that I've now been double-posting my original songs. I love "I'm Cold" and "I'm Ready for the Bear", but now I find that the next one is "Time to Unwind". yay.
I'm gonna be real with you, I really don't like "Time to Unwind." I can excuse the mix because mixing has been a hard thing to grasp, but that's the only mercy I have on it. Otherwise, the lyrics are grammatically incorrect, and I ironically associate the song with the mental breakdown I had shortly after posting it.
But I should probably reupload "Time to Unwind" as well because maybe people will see something in it that I don't. It still received positive reception in my other channel.
Maybe in the future, I can also repurpose the instrumental to give it better lyrics.
