They’re finally leaning back into 2D animation and all everyone can talk about is how “weird it looks” or how it’s too similar to what’s been done
This is an original Disney movie going back to the fairy tale roots with a REAL VILLAIN (and I know people have been bitching about that for a while) and it seems like no one can tuck down their hate boner for Disney for five fucking minutes and realize the potential of at least showing Disney that we appreciate the fucking effort
God, I’m just so sick of animation being criticized so harshly, especially since Disney has been so lacking lately. They finally do something different and no one seems to think we should nurture the film that might bring back the Traditional Disney style everyone fawns over
Idc is Wish is a competent mediocre movie, let them know we want them to keep trying
As someone that lives in a major city this drives me up the wall. Could we have spent money on improving the train and bus system, nah let's spend a billion dollars on an interchange that's gonna do FUCK ALL. I refuse to buy a car/learn how to drive because I'll be damned if I support this industry.
Public transit be like your bus is due .....now! ........now! .....any second now.......okay now! Just kidding uhh..............now! Okay itll be 17 minutes ☺️ hope that helps. Aw shit we sent the invisible bus again
Every time I read a PatF fic and Louis gets named dropped I take a 2d6 of physic damage b/c I'm violently reminded that these amazing fics are based on a children's movie.
I've wasted too many hours trying to figure it out. Reverse image search didn't help. The "source" of this image came up as Pinterest. Show yourselves.
I pointed this out in a Discord server I'm in and thought Id share here:
Bob Iger announced that Disney is going to absorb Hulu, and Hulu will no longer exist next year. All shows will move to the Disney+ app.
Disney also announced they were going to remove shows and movies periodically from their streaming services.
I believe both of these moves are because of the Writers Strike.
Disney knows its going to lose the strike. There is too much public support. Specifically, the WGA is going to win writers getting more residuals from streaming.
So if Disney takes shows off of streaming, they dont have to pay the writers the residuals.
They are going to use excuses like "not enough funding for the server capacity" or "not enough views to warrent keeping the show". These are BULLSHIT. Its all greed. Its only GREED.
Pay attention to what happens in the following weeks.
