stayed up too late studying sea otters :) cuz i wanted to draw taurs and furries.... and also otters.

also i meant to write this on that last pic but i forgot: otters are actually very skinny for a cold-water aquatic mammal, because they use their exceptionally thick fur to keep warm instead of fat deposits! but i was experimenting with taurs where the human parts didnt gain animal fur, so maybe it would be possible to have the furless human part use fat for insulation while the otter part doesnt? idk! i was just playing around :) another of them in the sketch DOES have fur on the human part (though not very thick. it was 2:30 am by this point and my brain stopped working <3) too

number 3!! my piece for @lexiepiper 's third Invisobang oneshot! i had a lot of fun making this one :3!!! even if it took a . very long time for it hehe

#DO YOU LIKE THE MIRROR EFFECT I LIKE THE MIRROR EFFECT <3 #LIKE THE WAY THEIR REFLECTIONS JITTER A BIT. i see this in real mirrors :) admittedly. cheap ones. but maybe clockwork buys cheap mirrors. #AND! i tried to emphasize the themes of alienation by making all of jack's colors (INCLUDING the shadows) very warm and cw's sort of purpin #and the background all blue and green :) so it doubles as a kind of depth gradient :) i LOVE coloring shadows someday ill make a post abt i #AND LASTLY the mirror didnt feel complete without some kind of completely unrelated reflection (idk how this works irl. will investigate.) #so i had to apply some image with hard and soft lines in a very transparent screen layer #and i just went with the first suitable image in my downloads folder i was comfortable not creditint #which happened to be an image sours sent in a discord server with tom scott standing in front of pariah's keep LMAO #hes sideways but you might see him if you look closely! :) #OK I DONT USUALLY GO INTO MY PROCESS firat of all bc it gets fucking long lol. but like i said im proud of this one #!! #oh also. render body hair hard :/ went cartoony when i realized he looked smooth #wow. long-ass alt text on this one too. theres a lotta detail idk what to tell you #danny phantom #id in alt #jack fenton #clockwork dp #invisobang 2023 #presentable

i finished a long-term project, concept sketches for the major arcana of an imaginary tarot deck based on Mortified by @five-rivers!

this is the second attempt, after some re-assessment, and the reason some of them have a different art style is because they went unchanged from the first attempt. a lot of thought went into the symbolism here, so feel free to ask me about it! i am thinking about changing the order to make more sense thematically, though. also if anyone wants to draw these in a less sketchy way feel free👉👈
