This scene broke me. In a way it seemed like it was a type of closure for Mickey and for Terry himself, but it was the difficult kind. Although this was probably Terry’s way of trying to make some kind of “peace” between them, it ultimately just showed that Terry was never going to change. He couldn’t even give a real apology without being homophobic. It’s sad, but I think it also showed Mickey that he was never going to change. Although it’s sad, I hope this also helps Mickey to understand that it’s not him, his father was genuinely just someone evil, and the guilt was only starting to eat away at Terry because he was now paralyzed and the son that he abused for years was still trying to take care of him, despite all Mickey was put through for years. But on the other hand in Mickey’s mind, this conversation could have showed that maybe Terry had some sort of ounce of caring for Mickey. Which makes me so sad, because although Terry was trying to show that he has guilt, he still also showed that he was still a shitty person and always would be. It’s not fair to Mickey, it’s not the happy kind of closure, it’s the difficult and complicated one. It also breaks me that this was their last conversation, and this is what Mickey heard from his father. I think it will give Mickey closure in his own way, but I just wish he could have got more, because he deserves that much. Also I’m so glad that Mickey got to say that to Terry because even though he didn’t know Terry was going to die, he got to say what he’s probably always wanted to say to Terry. And now that Terry died, I’m glad that they had this moment even though it was difficult.
Mickey helping take care of Terry just shows in itself that he’s more of a man and better person then Terry will EVER be. He has the biggest heart and deserves the world. I’m so proud of who he is.

Shameless before s11 *oh we’re going to focus on Ian and Mickey starting a family and developing*
During s11 *actually we’re going to cram them talking about it in the last episode and make it look seem super forced & not genuine bc we waited so long and instead had some dumb storylines throughout the season*

Can we talk about them wanting to get married…💖

Mickey went from dirty Southside thug, drinking big gulps, in the closet, while sitting next to the kid he was hooking up with in secret. To, pristine Southside thug, drinking rosé, proudly out of the closet, while sitting next to the same kid as 10 years ago, who is now his husband.
If this isn’t character growth, I don’t know what is.

Imagine Freddy is learning to walk and Tami and Lip are sitting on the floor getting him to walk over to them.
Then Mickey pops into the Gallagher living room and Freddy veers off to him with grabby hands and a big drooly smile.
And that's when Lip realizes his son's favorite person was his least favorite brother-in-law.
Don't worry; Mickey realizes this too, and he plans to rub it in Lip's face forever.
