only a few months ago, getting a look like that from ana, with all that anger and those glowing eyes? that would have terrified talia, but now it didn’t. she knew the cambion would never hurt her, just as she knew that she’d never attempt to harm ana — not that she could if she tried. emotions were flaring, but in a weird way talia felt comforted by that. misconceptions aside, it was sweet how clear it was that the idea of talia with anyone else was not okay with ana. “possible?” she asked quietly, nodding. she wouldn’t have guessed either. the kiss caught her off guard, but she didn’t hesitate to lean into it, and ana’s lips told her everything she needed to know. talia let out a soft whine when she started to pull away, the nibble on her lip only leaving her wanting so much more. “works for me,” she breathed, doing all she could not to push their lips back together and postpone this conversation. instead she curled her fingers, interlocking them with ana’s.  “but that goes both ways, you know. i’m never letting you go.”

nodding mutely as her brows knitted tightly, ana considered the situation closer, her poorly masked hurt slowly dispersing once things began clicking. she couldn’t imagine why the human would stray, it was simply the easiest explanation, not that most logical. ❝ obviously. i can’t say i’ve ever had this happen, so... ❞ not that she was aware of, at least... but that was a conversation better suited for another day. this was more than enough to digest. chuckling softly the cambion closed the distance between them, brushing her lips against talia’s. ❝ y’know most people would advise against forming a bond with a demon, half or full. surprised work didn’t warn you against that kind of thing, ❞ she teased, her lips moving to the redhead’s exposed neck and just below her ear where she bit gently, growling a quiet ‘ mine. ’ breathing in deeply, ana’s free hand slid up talia’s thigh and hip, where it rested as she tried to keep hold of her own composure. ❝ still want to talk about it ?? ❞

Samuel smiled, Vi’s misery making him genuinely happy. “After all this time and you still want the things I do to make ‘sense’? Darling haven’t you learned by now never to question your master.” He said as he emphasize a few chose words. “Bbbuuuttt if you must know I heard that one of our daughters is engaged. And I would love to congratulated her.” 

vi couldn’t help but cringe internally at his words, despite her efforts to move on with her life, there were some parts of her past she knew would never go away. some pieces of her that would never return. decades of trauma hardly went away over night. ❝ i just want to understand, but that isn’t how it works anymore. i’m not bound to you anymore, ❞ she reminded him but more than that, herself, softly. vi’s hand moved towards his as she finally looked at the man that turned her life into a living hell, ultimately deciding against it, she dropped her hand back to her side. ❝ sam, don’t do this. any issues you have are with me. me, not the girls. just let them live their lives. ❞ the word please died in her throat, knowing full well pleas fell on deaf ears when it came to him.

“I’m not staring,” Rory protested, a little too quickly to be convincing. She hated giving him anything more than what he’d taken, but trying to stomach the lie was worse. “At least, not because of that.” It made her nervous, just talking to him. Moving to New York came with a freedom that encapsulated her so fully, she knew she was going to be okay. Meeting Sam completed her in such a way that she’d never think of him again. But here he was. 

“I just don’t get it,” she admitted. “You could’ve gone anywhere but you’re here. I mean, you never talked about New York before, so… Why are you here?” 

❝ mhm, keep telling yourself that, blondie. ❞ viktor was about to ask for clarification on what she meant before she provided it, bringing a small smile to his lips. she still hadn’t figured it out ?? either she didn’t know her ex as well as she thought or he was a hell of an actor. or maybe the guy was just a massive tool. vik suspected a bit of all three. ❝ i told you, this is my home. my people lived here long before the witches came in and made a nice little town for all the misfits. ❞

“I’m not,” she insisted, crossing her arms and eying her firmly. She could be excruciatingly stubborn at times, and no one knew that better than Sara. “I’m moving on. There’s a difference.” 

quirking a brow at the blonde’s ever persistent attitude, sara gave her a knowing smile. peyton’s stubbornness was as admirable as it was frustrating, like most things relating to her. ❝ oh, is that what you call it ?? because i don’t think most people would consider moving in with their ex-fiancé, moving on. in fact, it seems like the opposite of it, but sure. ❞

Rory looked at her, unsurprised by the question but amused nonetheless. 

“Why would I?” She replied, the hint of a grin tugging at her lips. “Shame is just a trick for bullies to use when they think they’re better than everyone else. But I’m awesome so…” 

honestly, evie envied the blonde when it came to such things. she didn’t feel shame for many things, typically believing the ends justified the means, yet to be that careless -- that free -- was mind boggling to her. ❝ because there��s a small thing called tact. ❞ she sighed exasperatedly, a soft chuckle later escaping her at rory’s explanation. ❝ is that... how does that begin to make sense ?? ❞

merely grunting out a response, the former witcher rolled his eyes at the girl. michael supposed he brought it on himself, even though he’d grown to view her as a daughter, the choice to take her under his wing had been one of his more questionable decisions in life. ❝ who teaches you these so-called jokes ?? even i know they’re terrible. ❞ and his sense of humor certainly left something to be desired. sighing, he took a hold of her hand and made her repeat the sign with a slight variation. ❝ you need to focus more on your form, not jokes. ❞

“Well it’s always best to know early on that I am not like most Gods. I have always been a little bit different. Comes with what I am a goddess of, I guess” she shrugged. A little bit of darkness was fun every now and then. It balanced out all the positivity surrounding you. Even though this was basically hell on earth there were still people out there who held onto their hopes and dreams for a future. What a shame. “I am just in a desperate need for some fun. And necromancy is something I have not done in.. well forever. So I thought it was time to try it again” Hecate told him, nodding to her words. 

accepting her statement, axel nodded in agreement, he could sense that or maybe he simply related more to her than most of her kind. magic and darkness were things he knew well. ❝ fair enough, most of the others do seem... annoyingly perky, as a whole. though, i can’t say i’ve met them all. ❞ gods didn’t hold a lot of interest for him, even if he found their existence a bit humorous, ironic, even. axel had a hard time imagining multiple versions of his grandfather’s creator. taking a single side step, he made a small gesture with his hand. ❝ hmm, well, by all means. would you object to me watching ?? my mother taught me the practice when i was young, but i can’t think of a better example to study. ❞

“Okay but I have been to plenty of stripper clubs and none of them threw around glitter. So I have no idea which ones you frequent but they sound like a ton of fun” she said and chuckled softly. “Anytime. You should have a glitter beard or something along those lines” she suggested.

theseus considered sharing the ones he frequented before deciding against it. being around as long as he had, it could be hard to pinpoint things like that. and truth be told, he didn’t visit such places all that often. ❝ none ?? sounds like you’ve been going to the wrong clubs then. not enough body glitter, clearly, ❞ he joked, his hand raising to scratch his smooth cheek. ❝ oh, i don’t think i can pull that off. or a beard in general, too itchy. ❞

humming her confirmation, siri’s lips twitched upwards before catching herself, a look of mock disbelief taking its place. she knew what her brother really wanted to say, and while his lack of belief in the existence of her partner had once offended her, the demigoddess now found the whole thing more funny than offensive. ❝ you say that like it isn’t something women usually do to you. ❞
