The next day came slower than Elijah would have liked. He was ready much too early and spent hours pacing as he waited for Duch to arrive.

Duchess was excited, she spent the whole day thinking of their dinner date. It was nice to be pampered a little, at least she hoped it would be pampering, he didn’t seem the sort that would do anything half-assed, even if she had only known him for a few minutes, the way he was dressed looked like he had style, though you shouldn’t really judge a book by his cover.

She arrived at the address he had given her, dressed in an strappy emerald colored dress that sat just above the knee and showed a little cleavage. She rang the doorbell, smoothing the dress nervously.
