i’m not against vaping, but man, vaping two inches from my face on the subway is a ridiculous asshole kind of move. this dude was billowing like he was auditioning for the role of haunted house fog machine. the humidity in the whole car changed, he was ruining haircuts. just jump starting the water cycle. condensation was dripping down my glasses. people were slipping off poles, it was chaos. it was like watching one man try to terraform the moon. a planet with one dense, root beer scented atmosphere blocking out the sun and choking all life.

adults are always talking about how “kids will do anything to get out of school” and okay, first of all that’s not true, but I think we really need to ask why that idea holds so much sway.
children’s brains are hard-wired to take in new information and acquire new skills. consider, for a moment, just how thoroughly our society had to fuck up the concept of education for it to be a normal thing to assume kids are universally desperate to avoid learning.

The fact that we, Arabic-speaking average people(aka non-journalists), have to keep up with translating Palestinian posts from Arabic to English to avoid having Western Media/Pro-Zionists mistranslate on purpose, says enough about how we all lost trust in the media. From the "there's a list" guy who was standing in front of a calendar and condemning the days of the week, to the BBC's mistranslation of a freed Palestinian hostage's interview. I will try my best to keep translating whatever I can find, and I encourage my fellow bilingual/multilingual Arabs to do the same. It's already sad enough that Palestinian journalists and even children have to use English in videos instead of their native tongue in order to get the world leaders' attention.
Please keep speaking about Palestine.

But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou Son of man with a kiss?
Tumblr media
closeup and rambling under the cut :)
slowly healing from religious trauma by viewing the Bible as a work of literature (rather than The Old Book That Runs My Life) and its interesting as fuck tbh,,, also I recently watched Jesus Christ Superstar for the first time and I am absolutely obsessed. Gethsemane and Heaven On Their Minds go so damn hard. Anyway I felt like doing an actual rendered piece and was having thoughts about Judas Iscariot and this was the result!!

Don't forget about the Palestinians.
Don't forget about them now.
Don't forget about them tomorrow.
Don't forget about them in a week from now.
Don't forget about them in a month.
Don't forget them next year.
Don't forget them in 5 years.
When the history books start to update, don't let them put lies in there.
When documentaries come out, boycott the ones who call this a victory for Israel.
When books release talking about soldier's personal experiences with Palestine, remember the victims. Remember the truth.
Don't forget about what we've seen.
Don't forget about what we've heard.
Don't let them tell lies about Palestine.
Don't forget about the Palestinians when the world tries to make this go away.

Love realization prompts:
Tumblr media
They don't smile/laugh often, but when they finally do, you feel your heart skip a beat
Waking up and finding yourself snuggled up with them on the couch, when it dawns upon you that maybe you do love them
They're doing something stupid, and somehow, you find yourself thinking that this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with
They're going to go away soon. You're going through some of your old memories together, which is when the realization hits you (and you don't have much time left)
You find yourself unable to look away after seeing them in a fancy dress/suit for the first time
Reuniting after being separated for a while, realizing how much you missed their presence
Thinking about how they have all the qualities you'd like in a partner
While pretending to be in a relationship with them, you realize how much you wish it was real
Being worried that these new feelings might ruin their friendship
"I think... I'm in love with (Name)" || "Congrats on being the last one to find out"
(X)

Scammer pretending to be in Palestine v2
Currently there is a scammer posing as either a person in Palestine, having a family in Palestine, or is an orphan/an orphan with kids in Palestine. I have another post where I’ve been documenting this scammer but I’m redoing it here since recent updates are hard to be seen. Every account that will be listed here are scammers. Please make sure that if you see this as a reblogged post, please check the original to see if it’s been updated since. This scammer will send you hate asks if you call them out and they have been doing this since the start of February. Here is my original post.
The most common thing is that their blog is usually only a week old at best and commonly is taking their posts from a real fundraiser (post showing proof). Please do not give money to this scammer. Please note that they send asks to anyone who interacts with trending posts or tags and will promise to you that they’re legitimate but will refuse to answer any questions to prove they’re legit. If they do happen to send you a DM, please see if they’ll give you a direct link to their PayPal-me which would make it easy to figure out which country they’re actually located in.
As of 3/21/2024, these are the currently active accounts:
sweatymakerobservations | rahababibu | granddragonsalad | harddinosaurgiver | sweatythinglight | classyartisanavenue
Please keep in mind all their info is generally stolen off a real Palestine fundraiser and a quick Google search of the text should lead you to the general location of it. Also please alert anyone who’s shared any of their posts and inform them of the scam by linking them to my posts.
Below is a growing list of fake/stolen names used across the accounts:
Nour Samar | maryline lucy | Fred Odhiambo | Jeff Owino | Valentine Nakuti | Conslata Obwanga | JACINTA SITATI | David Okoth | Martín Mutugi | Daudi Likuyani | William Ngonyo | Fred Agy | George Ochieng | BONFACE ODHIAMBO | Sila Keli | John Chacha | benson komen | Alvin Omondi | Jacinta Sitati | Daudi Likuyani | Noah Keter | Faith Joram | Rawan AbuMahady (any PayPal’s using this name are scammers who have stolen it off a real GoFundMe. The real person does not have a PayPal account that they post on tumblr.)

the genius of megamind (beyond the obvious genius ofc) is that it's superman parody actually presents a genuinely unsettling depiction of the "hero" that I like wayyy better than "what if superman was evil" or "what if superman was wrong"... it's "what if superman didn't care"
