Well, obviously it's always about Porthos.

*sees all the aramis blogs

Okay. It's always about Porthos in my brain at least

It is really fascinating how most adaptations have a really similar take on Athos, Porthos and Aramis

But the take on D’Artagnan differs a lot

1973: the loud womanizer who is also really dumb and does a lot of slapstick humor

1993: A Greek half god, with blue eyes and blond locks, who is unbelievable heroic and a little bit cheeky

2011: A sanitized version. A Disney hero, who is literally a child, who saves the day and is loved by everyone

BBC: more mature, darker, a little shit sometimes (affectionate), heroic and a little bit dumb, dry humor

2023: really mature, but still the youngest in the room, goes from one trouble into next, dirty cat, who happens to have a lot of luck. A little bit cheeky

He's clearly not wooing a female sponsor. If he had extra money lying around, why don't the others ask to borrow some?

Do they just let him join in because other two are competing? Nobody bothered to ask him to pay up? He's setting the standard the others have to try to beat?
