Ladies and gentlemen: the time has come once again! After yet another long winter’s time of gathering resources - And now sponsoring the illustrious Etheirys Blitzball League - the Higuri Regalia is proud to announce the return of the “Regalia Largesse” - marking its seventh occurrence!

For those unaware or uninitiated: The Regalia Largesse is an annual event spanning anywhere between 5-7 days that occurs around the late spring/early summer, and is considered the “pinnacle of Noblesse Oblige”!

During this event, individuals from the Higuri Regalia’s hierarchy will make appearances within the various city-states to offer wares to the adventuring public - FOR FREE (Tips and donations are always greatly appreciated, but never mandatory)!

On Sunday, June 16th, at around 7PM EDT, look for a Party Finder ad from any one of the Regalia members; they will provide you information on where they are, and what items will be offered, with a detailed list of what’s available while supplies last.   Due to the ever-increasing quantity of wares, their post  duration has been extended to three hours. All locations take place on the Balmung World in the Crystal Data Center.

Also, throughout the week, starting at the commencement of the Largesse, those who are willing to partake in a special contest will receive a number.  On last day of that week (i.e. the end of  the Largesse), a raffle will take place where a series of numbers will be drawn, and those who win will be offered prizes!

RULES:

*To enter the raffle, simply ask the representative currently posted during that day; a tracker is kept throughout the course of the event, and is  shared amongst the Regalia members.

You MUST attend the final day of the Largesse in order to qualify for a chance to win.

In the event you are unable to attend the raffle for any reason, you are allowed 1 proxy to vouch for you, so long as they state whom they are  replacing.

If your number happens to be drawn, you are offered a chance to decline a particular prize if you have eyes on another, but a winner will be decided for the sake of fairness.

*IMPORTANT: IN LIGHT OF CHANGES TO THE MOG STATION, AND AS AN ADDITION TO THE FIRST RULE: YOU WILL RECEIVE A FRIEND REQUEST FROM THE REGALIA MEMBER DURING THEIR POST.  SHOULD ANY WINNERS RECEIVE AN ITEM FROM THE MOG STATION AND DO NOT YET MEET THE 72-HOUR GRACE PERIOD, THEY MUST WAIT UNTIL THAT IS CLEARED BEFORE RECEIVING IT.

Notes: Sprouts (New Players/Adventurers) will receive Flying Beds and/or attire Coffers as a consolation gift.

The Higuri Regalia is pleased to announce the return of: The Mythril Showcase!

As a refresher to those uninitiated: this fashion show was created during the twilight days of Menphina Madness to provide the frequenters of the sport an opportunity to show off their acumen in style outside of the Blitzsphere. Since then, Thiji Higuri - the merchant-lord and fashion nabob himself - has tested the skill and daring of haute couture hopefuls through various themes. This time, The Regalia, now official League Sponsors of the EBL, is providing this as a new avenue of competition for spectators, fans, and players alike!

With two successful shows now under the Regalia's belt, the deciding of the next theme was opened to the public via poll to give proper closure to this turn; now the results have finally arrived. The theme for the third Mythril Showcase will be: "Kingdoms of the Far East." This inspiration takes from the popularized culture and history of Othard, Hingashi, and the surrounding regions, namely during its warring periods in Hydaelyn's timeline. (TRANSLATION: this cosplay contest is based off the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors/Warriors Orochi series)

Those who wish to participate are welcome, and will be handsomely rewarded with a glamour weapon of their choosing for their efforts. This time, however, there is a twist: as there were warring factions during ancient times, so, too, will there be specific glamour weapons tailored to them! They are detailed below:

Jin: Fae's Crown

Contestants will be judged based on a variety of categories on a 1-to-10 scale.  For the sake of fairness, these criteria will be made known to all.  They are as follows:

-Emulation: Cosplaying - as accurately as possible - a certain character from a particular source of media (game/show/movie, etc.)

-Adherence: Remaining within the scope of the theme.

-Embellishment: Complimenting your outfit with accessories and other small details.

-Stage Presence: Your ability to “strut your stuff” via actions or emotes.

-Reception: How well you command the audience’s excitement and attention.

*-Innovation: Any additional nuances to your entry (using minions, reciting lines, etc.) for extra points.

Pg. 30 Pain is Beauty; Beauty is Pain (Addendum)

(MODEL: Silent Veil)

As part of a new initiative for the Higuri Regalia with the turn of the (2024) cycle, the option for collaboration has now been made available to any and all individuals looking to make their own mark in the realm of high fashion. Among the few who have thus far stepped up is none other than the opulent proprietress and owner of Wasshoi Entertainment: Silent Veil.

The mysterious Auri tycoon held a certain powerful creature in high regard - so much so that she's had several ideas pertaining to a design dedicated to its likeness. Said creature is, in fact, a Goddess esoterically known to be a symbol of pain and sorrow. This being is none other than Anima, appropriately dubbed the "Lady of Pain", and is said to maintain a lonesome vigil beneath the world, Her very presence a black mark of pain, destruction, and corruption.

Unlike the Anima known in Etheirys which was purported to be the remnants of the late Garlean Emperor Varis zos Galvus, this Anima is said to be the original incarnation, and the outfit inspired by Silent Veil's musings has been immortalized into what is now her signature dress. With no other fitting name to give the attire, Silent Veil settled on a phrase: "Pain is Beauty; Beauty is Pain."

"A pained and unfortunate goddess, bound into servitude by those seeking to tell their own truths..." -Silent Veil

Utilizing elements from previous works, this ensemble comes into its own with a unique flytrap-like cloak and diadem-veil combo. The cloud motifs along the skirt and pinion-like embellishments running along the spine reflect Anima's form. Its highlighted elements, however, are the chains which embrace the wearer's waist, and the coiled hands which protect the neck - two distinct symbols of the of Lady of Pain's visage - bring the entire set together to create an eerily beautiful masterpiece.

Anima exists as a teacher - an arbiter of the harsh realities many will doubtless face - in both the material plane and now the realm of high fashion. To embrace beauty is to accept pain, but like with many things on Etheirys, everything has a price. Those who gaze upon this garb will know of Power in Beauty, and those who don it will soon accept the underlying truth: that within Beauty... is also Pain.

Pg. 17: Voidcast Remembrance/”Memoria Salvatoris”

The crowning piece of the Abyssal Gala - the pinnacle of Voidsent couture - is immortalized with this regal robe, created in the memory - pun intended - of the knight known as Golbez.

This unisex piece has been given the name: “Voidcast Remembrance”, with the additional moniker of “Memoria Salvatoris” - or “Memory of a Savior” in the Garlean tongue.

Created in honor of the fallen knight in black, this tenebrous vestment combines elegance with authority, featuring numerous billowing cloths of ebon, secured by the same pauldrons once worn by Golbez, brought together with a purplish robe with blue gradient, trimmed with gold and adorned in glowing violet jewels.

Additionally, the patterns shown on the aforementioned cloths resemble that of a Memoria crystal, which is said to house the essence of a Voidsent.  In this manner, those who wear these raiments in their entirety can appropriately honor the ambitions of Golbez, who sought to restore his world - the Thirteenth shard - to its former glory after a terrible conflict would plunge it into endless darkness.

In time, perhaps the Void may cease to be such.  But the vestments of the Voidcast Remembrance will ensure such memories - such legacies - are never forgotten, especially in the realm of high fashion.

Rounding out the Archfiends of Fashion comes Near Eastern-driven habiliments to pay homage to Rubicante, Autarch of Flame.

While it is rustic in its appearance, this set - coined as the Ember-Embraced Esoterica - was made with practicality in mind, utilizing designs from Thavnairian-style boleros, and the Archfiend of Fire’s essence teeming within helps retain and regulate heat, making it easier to thrive in hotter climates.

Reds and whites mingle with blacks and purples, reflecting Rubicante’s form, and the long, flowing sash is reminiscent of his signature cloak, with a turban and veil to match!

Whether you love to burn bright like the star you were meant to become, or enjoy a simpler approach to the high fashion realm, the Ember-Embraced Esoterica has a lot going on, and is the selection of choice for summer and tropical wear!

Behold the third addition to the Archfiends of Fashion: an elegant formal dress with some chaotic flair, created from the mind of Izayoi T. Keer, Higuri Regalia Diamond Apprentice!

The ensemble she has dubbed the “Breeze-Kissed Secrets” takes inspiration from Barbariccia, the illustrious Empress of the Winds.  The asymmetry of this piece is its greatest strength, playing to the wild whimsies of the element of wind.

Silver accenting a canvas of jade green creates a masterpiece of an outfit, and the very dress - from the feathery cloak to the thighboots - thrums with the essence of the Archfiend of Wind.  Comfortable, easy to wear, and a wonderful set of dancing and formal attire, the Breeze-Kissed Secrets set is bound to be a favorite for many smaragdine lovers and wind enthusiasts alike!

Crashing into the stage of high fashion comes a set of clothing worthy of the Archfiend of Water himself, Cagnazzo.  The Wave-Caressed Arcanum takes from the Drowned King’s imposing form and has immortalized it into a regal set of finery.

Blues and golds reminiscent to the aqueous Archfiend set the scheme for this piece: a flowing, caped vest with accents resembling cresting waves; dark blue gloves lined with gold to mirror Cagnazzo’s claws, all brought together with a precious pendant and crown jeweled with pearls said to house his own power.

Created in the Hingan couturial style known as “Ouji” or “Prince”, the Wave-Caressed Arcanum also blends elements from Aristocratic fashion, resulting in a unique fusion of flowing cuts and exquisite frills.  

And what better way to compliment a set of water-aspected attire than with a parasol?  This clothing set comes with your very own means to beat the rain, and its heavy water aspect makes it water-resistant, allowing you to look your best even in the dreariest conditions.

Pg. 13: Loam-Touched Mysteries

Out the starting gate for the Archfiends of Fashion comes an eerie set of robes fit for the Archfiend of Earth.  The Loam-Touched Mysteries is this attire’s moniker, and Scarmiglione, the Blight Despot, its muse.

With earthy colors of greens and browns, mixed with purples and reds from the Archfiend’s own form, this hooded robe comes with its own mask to help augment the mysterious air this piece of attire brings.

Bejewled with gems housing Scarmiglione’s own essence, this set pays great attention to detail, with the embroideries transitioning from his form in the front to his earthly cloak in the back, with cresting tusks to frame the wearer’s head into a ghastly and imposing image!

Scarmiglione may have been the first of the Archfiends, but he was by no means weak, and now his own mark shall be made as his likeness joins the annals of the fashion world.  The Loam-Touched Mysteries is the perfect outfit for earthen enjoyers!

Pg. 12: The Gown of Darkness

The greatest among the Voidsent nobles and rulers alike has made several appearances throughout Etheirys’s history, from the pact with Emperor Xande, to the incursion from the Crystal Tower, to even a reimagining in another shard.  Now, the Cloud of Darkness becomes immortalized in the annals of aesthetics.

The Gown of Darkness - invented by Diamond Apprentice Izayoi T. Keer - arrives to the scene with a bodycon cocktail dress that both presents decollete and is midriff-bearing, secured by a choker.

The second part of the ensemble is formed by the Cloud of Darkness’s signature cape (now with gold trim!), which is connected to hems of the dark sleeves to bring the outfit together.  The blood-red under layers of the cape and greens of the gown establish an excellent contrast to the perceived forms of the Voidal ruler.

Despite its name, the Gown of Darkness can be safely worn by anyone, regardless of aetherial signature.  Though onlookers may be enticed to forge a pact of fashion should they find themselves wanting…

Pg. 11: Nightmare Lord's Suit

It would be silly to not include one of the original lords of the Void in such an esteemed clothing line.  Diabolos, Lord of Nightmares, makes a permanent mark in the realm of high fashion with a suit tailored in his image!

Highly intricate and as detailed as the omens he weaves, the Nightmare Lord’s Suit comes in two variants - each with their own distinctions.  The silver version takes from his original form during his incarceration inside the Ancient City of Amdapor, and the golden version from the brief moment in time where he assumed his Hollow form after absorbing the body of the fallen Void Queen.

No matter the variant you choose, the Nightmare Lord’s Suit looks good in any occasion, with patterns reminiscent of the sigils used by White Mages meticulously woven into the fabrics, and a stole that is equal parts dapper and imposing.

Pg. 10: Lovely Leotard of the Shadow Castle

Diamond Apprentice Izayoi T. Keer graces the Abyssal Gala with another magnificent piece, this time created in the image of the Void Queen, Scathach.

While its name is lengthy, the Lovely Leotard of the Shadow Castle takes from the same clothing the Voidal ruler donned, but with several distinctions.  As there was an homage already made to Mhach in a previous line, some alterations were imperative.

The shoulder straps and skirt-thighboots combo help make this attire easy to wear, with gloves of ebon silk for added sophistication.  Its revealing visage enables easy and elegant movement, and can comfortably be worn even by tailed races.

Those who choose to don this attire may have the urge to create their own domain of dark fashion beneath the backdrop of a silvery moon.  Claim Power and Beauty at your own risk!

Pg. 9: Court Jester's Jacket

Who says harlequins and jongleurs can’t have their time in the limelight?  Coming straight out of Amdapor comes a -stylish- jacket bearing the countenance of a familiar jester: Ferdiad!

The Court Jester’s Jacket is a cozy piece of attire, created in both normal and “Hollow” variants - the latter of which taken after his transformation in Dun Scaith.

Though it bears similarities to Lominsan aesthetic, the design of this particular coat was supposedly inspired by a famed Hyuran Voidsent hunter, who ran a paranormal agency and had a huge fixation on pizza.  He also carried within his person an assortment of weapons, but given the Higuri Regalia is -not- an arms dealership, such replicas would be sold separately.

Rounding out the last of the Eurekan Voidsent nobles is another outfit for the insect lovers: the Flame Queen’s Passion!

This sassy sanguine selection of attire combines a gothic-style bustier with a Near Eastern lehenga, brimming with the essence of the noblewoman known as Penthesilea, from Eureka Pyros!

Along with a frilly stole and shades for added pomp, this item also comes with its own pair of ruby wings modeled after a moth’s - the same Vilekin by which Penthesilea was said to have been emulating.  And whether you’re a smoker, an intricately-crafted pipe resembling her spear is also provided!

Flutter a flaming trail to the fashion realm and burn bright like Penthesilea herself!  The Flame Queen’s Passion - a must-have for the fiery vixen!

Pg. 7: Frost Monarch's Majesty

The chill in the air is not from the Diamond Sultan, but an icy number has waltzed its way once more into the high fashion realm.  From the chilly recesses of Eureka Pagos comes the Frost Monarch’s Majesty!

A dashingly cool swallowtail coat was invented in the image of the monarch known as Louhi, a Voidsent known for such incredible skill with the cold that he has been told to wield blades of pure ice in his battles.  With that being said, this, along with numerous other key features, have been re-imagined in this piece.

With Louhi’s own icy essence is this outfit made; from the cane to the top hat; to the shoulders and even the “core” that fits snuggly around the swallowtail.

And what’s more?  The suit itself is already insulated to protect those less-inclined to the chill of winter, using the vestiges of Louhi’s power to keep form without sacrificing function!  The sleek design of the Frost Monarch’s Majesty will never lead you astray, no matter the temperature or setting!

Pg. 6: Gale Master's Glory

Lamashtu’s consort has made his place within the realm of high fashion.  Bursting into the scene is this winged rendition to Pazuzu: The Gale Master’s Glory!

The tales surrounding this noble depicts him in different forms, and elements from each have been taken to establish this unique attire, complete with a Turali flair! Majestic, folding wings complimented by a crown; a loose robe adorned with gems from its collar to the flared sleeves, and a sarong of puce and bronze secured by a serpent devouring its own tail - known commonly as the Ouroboros.

Breathable and practical, this homage to the Lord of Gales will impress any wind enjoyer - and perhaps those with a fascination for gems.
