manifesting the Blackthorns have the nastiest, most nauseatingly angsty epic train wreck of a fight in TWP. perhaps in the second book or whenever they all find out about Livvy. like it's awful and you can't look away as they're all at their worst with the people they love the most, who they would do and have done anything for. it's the bloodiest fight any of them have ever been in and there wasn't even any weapons involved, just words they didn't mean and cannot take back. like they all care so much about one another but things have changed and none of them cope with it at all so instead it all just. blows up. like Ty only ever wanted to keep everyone together and go back to how things were, but instead he's the one who inadvertently fractures them; the unavoidabe fate of Blackthorns siblings.

Is it just me or is Tessa’s trauma severely overlooked? Like I feel like barely anyone mentions that she lost everyone she had ever known and went to live with her brother only to get kidnapped and then tortured like I feel like people forget that part of her story sometimes but maybe I’m just not seeing those posts. But still, remembering that and seeing how Tessa still chooses to act makes my respect for her grow more and more.

Honestly, if anyone’s gonna die in Chain of Thorns, my theory is that it’s gonna be Christopher. I mean, think about it:

He’s a Lightwood (CC loves killing Lightwoods).

He’s a beloved side character (CC loves killing beloved side characters, see Livvy Blackthorn and Raphael Santiago).

He’s not a POC, and Christopher’s not cannonically queer, trans, or neurodivergent, so killing him off wouldn’t be killing off a marginalized character.

Because of baby Alexander, Christopher is no longer needed to keep the Lightwood line going so that the TMI Lightwoods can exist. 

Based on CC’s methods, he seems like the most likely one to die.
