☀︎ surfing into my 30s ☀︎ . yesterday I turned 30. you’d think I’d feel some type of way, but let me tell you, my 20s were rough. they had some high highs, but also some low lows. I married my best friend, but I also lost friends and disconnected from some family members. I worked my way to working fulltime in book publishing, but I had lots of shitty jobs and toxic work environments before that. I traveled and had once-in-a-lifetime experiences, but I also had my worst mental illness episode and I stopped taking care of myself. I graduated from grad school and published a book, but I confronted religious, political, and societal manipulations that had been engrained into my youth. my 20s were all about unlearning and relearning, advocating for myself, and finding my way.
