Started HSK! I completed all of Lesson 1 using: 🌸 HSK 1 Textbook 🌸 Chinese Zero to Hero HSK 1 Course A and their Quizlet Deck 🌸 Learning Mandarin Characters Volume 1 🌸HSK 1 Workbook I knew all the characters 👀, I felt that it was more of a review when I went through lesson. I did miss a couple of the questions in the workbook, but overall I did pretty well. I studied Swahili for 2 hours today. I used a couple of different resources to complete some lessons. -SwahiliPod101: Sound like a Native Swahili Lesson. Finished all 5 lessons in this module. -Reviewed the pronunciation section of Teach Yourself Swahili. - Started Chapter 1 (Hujambo?) from Teach Yourself Swahili. I completed almost all of Lesson 27. Listened to the audio, took down the grammar notes, and completed the exercise questions. I put all the words into Noodle Chinese so that I can practice and study their stroke orders, definition, and pinyin spelling. I’ve been so focused on Mandarin, I haven’t touch Swahili in a minute. With Swahili I’m not really sure what resources will work best for me, so I feel like for a while I will be in a sort of trial phase. Right now I’m going to use 3 resources (one that is not pictured) - Simplified Swahili - Teach Yourself Swahili - & Language Transfer Simplified Swahili has no audio but it seems to have a lot of important information. Some info on pronunciation was explained more through than in the pronunciation section of Teach Yourself. Before moving on to the next lesson, I read the 范句 section of Lesson 25. I like to practice reading out loud so that can practice my speaking cadence and intonation. I took grammar notes from YouTube about interrogative pronouns (who, how much, which, etc). My textbook wasn’t very through about explaining what they were. After I watched a couple a videos, it made a bit more sense. I then completed exercise # 5 from lesson 25. I took down notes before completing the last exercise.
