bakugo sat up from his place on the couch in confusion. “where’s this coming from?”

you shrugged staring back at the boy, “i’m just curious katsuki.”

“why would i tell you that?”

“it’s just a question,” you mumbled. “no need to get all defensive, just forget i said anything ok?” you leaned back on the couch, attention going back to your phone.

“it happened over time,” you looked up from your phone, bakugo’s eyes glued to the floor as he begrudgingly answered your question. “but i knew i was in love after that one sparring session we had.”

“the one where i kicked your ass?” you teased.

“no not that one,” he huffed, rolling his eyes. “the one where you got back up and asked for another round with that look you have on your face where you’re very excited.”

“what face?”

“you know,” bakugo mumbled. “the face you make when you win a fight or do well on a test.”

“or when i beat you in something,” you teased, earning a small punch from the boy in annoyance. “but i always do that, i like sparring with you.“

"exactly,” he reasoned. “no one does that with me. they normally just give up.” you looked back at the boy with a smile as he finally met your eyes. “i think that was the tipping point actually.”

“oh? how so?”
