"But why would you want to imagine, read or write about a relationship that wasn't healthy, good or desirable to you personally?"
I genuinely don't know how to explain the concept of fiction to you.

You know what I wanna see??
Borrower stories where the human isn't just your everyday citizen.
Borrowers who realize they're living with a particularly dangerous psychopath, a spy, some mystical being they didn't realize existed, a mad scientist, ANYTHING.
I want the borower to feel like the normal being compared to whatever frick frack is going on with the human.
I want it to be incredibly weird when they meet.
Like both of them catching the other in the act of something they definitely weren't supposed to see. Both of them being utterly baffled by one another.
Forget the single sided "human realized borrowers exist"
I want a duel sided ball drop moment.
A killer caught in the act by a borrower-
An alien taking off their disguise and just hearing a tiny scream from under the furniture
A spy catching a tiny being rummaging through very confidential documents and immediately thinking this is some wildly advance spy tech
A scientist finding a tiny being staring in horror at the experiments locked up in their lab
A vampire getting caught drinking blood by a curiously tiny lil human
JWHFDLKAFHKL
Goodness- I need WEIRD borrower stories.

A pred swallowing a prey who they don’t realise is immortal and immune to digestion. They fall asleep with a full, happy tummy, and wake up to … that exact same squirming belly. Their brows furrow together as they prod at their stomach, and the prey inside laughs at them for their foolishness, expecting the pred to let them out now that digestion isn’t a possibility.
But the pred is stubborn.
“You think I’ll let you out just because I can’t digest you? Newsflash, sweetheart: I like how you feel in there. I haven’t given up a meal yet, and I’m not about to now.” The pred smothers a belch as their prey begins to start thrashing around with panic, smirking to themselves. “Shhh… we’re gonna get to know each other real well by the time you give up, I think.”

concept: a pred that has a sleepwalking and a sleepeating problem. they can't host sleepovers and have to make sure they lock the door before bed or else they'll wake up in the morning with a heavy, squirming middle with no idea of who they ate...

Kind of love the idea of a pred trying SO hard to digest a prey, but for whatever reason, it just. Isn't happening.
Their stomach is round and full of prey that's writhing and squirming, and by god, they are TRYING to digest this prey - their stomach walls are churning at full force, and loud gurgles and whines are sounding - but just isn't happening.
Of course, the pred is in denial about this, and admittedly, the feelings are still incredible... So they decide to hold on to the prey for a while longer, still attempting (and failing) to digest their meal.

I love G/T vore where the tiny is just big enough to fill your tummy a little too much. You feel a little sick as they squirm inside you, stretching your tummy beyond what's meant to be its maximum capacity. Your middle bulges out just a bit, enough to be noticeable, but small enough to be covered by a sweater.
You have to walk around all day with your tummy just so *full*, futilely trying to ease the tension in your belly as you rub at your prey through your hoodie pocket, holding in a groan as your middle grumbles about the amount you've fed it <3

this may be unusual but i really like vore that is safe and fatal simultaneously. by that I mean, for whatever reason, there is prey that is safe fro digestion, mingling with prey that is BEING digested.
Maybe the safe prey ENJOYS this, either it was an enemy or they are just a pred stuck in a prey's body and their pred best friend lets them have front row seats
Or its HORRIFYING for the prey, maybe they know why they are spared, or maybe they dont. either way. its horrific.
Maybe they are even ambivalent to it, just like meh, guess my friend had to eat something/someone and didnt bother to get me out first.
thanks for coming to my ted talk/
Oh bonus, i've talked about this before but something similar I love is safe prey going treasure hunting after other prey is digested. getting valuables or bones and such :D

The idea of a Preds stomach walls tightening possessively. Maybe in response to the unthinkable (to the pred at least) suggestion of letting their prey go. Or in response to someone they perceive as a threat to the prey like another predator, that would have eaten the prey if they hadn’t. It might not even be a conscious action on their part, like the idea of surrendering the prey is just such anathema to them that their body just responds defiantly to the mere thought.

The “sacrificed to a god” trope in vore is great but what I really like is when it turns out the prey actually knew the god in their human guise. Cause on the one hand the pred is someone they trust and care for but now they’re also this cosmic and mercurial force of nature that their community reveres and they’ve been sacrificed to. I like the idea of the prey struggling to reconcile all that. Especially if the pred seems on some level to be that person they knew but now they can see the bits that were always there, hidden just out of reach. The prey doesn’t want to die and it’s hard to reconcile that their friend would ask this of them. When they thought they were being sacrificed to just their people’s god it was something they weren’t happy about but they couldn’t say no to and had to do. But now that that god has a name and face they recognise it’s confusing they don’t know why their friend would make them go through this. They ask and their friend admits they are being selfish but informs the prey that they won’t give them up. That there’s no point being a god if they can’t take what they want and what they want is the prey.
