A Blanket for Brain - Brain
Here's the second fic I wrote for the Brain zine. It was a sweet story I got to collab on with the beautifully talented Raimu. Enjoy!
Premise: Brain falls asleep at his desk
Words: 1,472
~~~~~
               Exhaustion seeps to the core of his bones. Fatigue hinders focus as his gaze drags across the page.
               Things have been one hell of a roller coaster since Master Ava gave Brain the tome not rightfully his. From that moment, he’s spent countless hours poring over every page in hopes of finding even the smallest scrap of information that could change their fate.
               Well, almost every page.
               The corner of the paper inserted by the master herself barely peeks from behind the others. It taunts him, bringing him to the brink of breaking as it stokes his curiosity and desperation. But it’s a truth he knows he’s not ready to face yet.
               These thoughts always lead to the same place: whether or not he should even trust Ava. Her kindness and gentle nature drew people to her. She didn’t see Unions; she saw people she could help. Yet she’d gone against the Master of Masters by giving Brain the book. Sure, it had been on the pretext of changing fate, but Brain can’t help questioning if that was the right choice.
               A burn bleeds through his gut, disrupting his study and reminding him how hopeless he really is. His thoughts are always so consumed by finding salvation that the present often eludes him. Sleep and hunger are typically the first necessities neglected, but he’s also subjected his body to the elements in his musings—never really snapping out of his obsession until an outside force intervenes. He can’t even recall when his last meal was.
               The clock ticking away on the wall tells him that lunch is still a few hours away. Sneaking down to the kitchen to steal a snack is tempting, except he’s not brave enough to endure a scolding from Skuld should he get caught.
               So back into the book goes his nose. In spite of his determination, the burnout gets the better of Brain all the same. One moment he’s reading and re-reading the word “Darkness” and the next slips away his consciousness.
~~~~~
               A gasp seizes his body. It takes a second, but Brain recognizes this room and it’s not a battlefield. Past his lips ghosts a groan. Joints protest the stretch that pulls them and he finally peels his face off the desk.
               Once again, he managed to fall asleep in the middle of working. Even worse, once again, he had the same nightmare.
               It’s been plaguing him ever since the war. Every time he looks at Ven, every time he observes the night sky, every time he sees that clearing outside the city—it’s all too easy for the guilt to overwhelm him. Out of all the strong warriors, only a handful had been chosen to continue the fight and he often wonders what made a coward like him worthy. Then he wonders if the others feel the same, but decides probably not.
               That’s what drives the man to wrap himself in his work. He has to make himself useful, has to make up for the shameful way he acted back then—has to prove that maybe Ava wasn’t wrong about him. Maybe if he can figure out a way to change their fate, he might finally feel worth something.
               But no matter how smart he is, Brain is a coward who—
               No. He’s going down the rabbit hole again. He has to break the cycle before it drags him into another episode—like the one that kept him holed up in his room for two weeks after the war.
               Heaving a sigh, the young man rubs at his face. Something brushes along his arm; he doesn’t remember grabbing a blanket—because he didn’t. Someone visited him in his sleep, but Brain hadn’t told anyone what he was doing or where. Being stumbled upon is much more likely than someone looking for him, surely, but even if that were the case, he can’t understand why they would care to cover him up.
               The squelching gurgle reminds Brain that, before his nap, he’d been hungry and it’s only gotten worse. Lunch time has long since passed and dinner is on its way, but maybe he can snag something from the kitchen anyway.
               Blanket wrapped snuggly around him, Brain wanders downstairs. The sound of chattering grows as he approaches the kitchen. The others are already here, sitting around the table and enjoying each other’s company.
               Lauriam is the first to spot him. “There’s our sleeping beauty. Enjoy your nap?”
               Pulling the blanket tighter, Brain glances away. His manner probably comes off as aloof; in reality, he just doesn’t know how to react. Dealing with other people was never his strong suit.
               Ephemer waves him on. “Come join us. We’re just about to have dinner.”
               There’s hesitation. The things he knows that they don’t skitter in the back of his mind. Their ignorance is the only reason they can be this cheerful. He’s not sure if it’s jealousy that weighs in his heart or pity.
               A hand against his shoulder snaps him back and pushes the young man towards the table. Skuld does not look pleased. “Sit. If you’re not gonna take care of yourself, we’re gonna do it for you.”
               With no room for arguing, Brain takes a seat, rubbing at weary eyes.
               “Cozy there?”
               He realizes Lauriam is speaking of the blanket. It must have been one of them that found him.
               “It’s nice. Is it yours?”
               “No, Ephemer donated it after we found you asleep at your desk.”
               “’We?’”
               The donor laughs. “We all spent the better part of an hour looking for you for lunch, but we figured it was probably best to let you sleep.”
               “All…of you?” That’s a surprise. He expected as much from Skuld with her motherly instincts—maybe Ephemer if he was being generous—but to know that all of them had the heart to search him out baffles the young man.
               “Yeah, you were missing,” Ven exaggerates.
               “And Skuld was getting worried when you didn’t show for lunch.” Lauriam grins in the face of Skuld’s glare.
               Fists meet the girl’s hips with a huff. “Well I hadn’t seen him eat anything since yesterday. Of course I was worried.”
               “And that’s fair.” One of Lauriam’s fingers poke at Brain’s shoulder. “He’s not exactly a prime example of self-care.”
               As the group banters, Brain just stares. He’s useless. He can’t name a single thing he’s actually done to contribute to this team and yet these people still go out of their way to include him. His attempt at working with others was expected to go over as well as keeping Chi-chi out of the catnip, but clearly, he was wrong. It’s as if they actually cared.
               Oh.
               “Gee, thanks guys.” The sarcasm is ingrained in his very being, though it’s laced with a sincerity that comes with his realization.
               Fingers pinch at his cheek. “Is that a blush I see? Are you embarrassed?” Lauriam and that self-confidence of his are going to be the biggest obstacle.
               Regardless, he’ll take a chance. “No, that’s just where I had my face mashed against the desk.”
               “Fair. You were utterly dead to the world.”
               Ven rats out the taller boy. “Lauriam wanted to draw a mustache on your face.”
               Instantly suspicious, Brain leans away from the man with no shame. “Too bad Ephemer returned with that blanket by the time I found a marker that actually worked.”
               “Speaking of, have you always had that mole?” Ephemer pokes Brain’s other cheek.
               “What?!” A fist wipes furiously at his face.
               With a toothy grin, Ephemer takes it back. “I’m just kidding.”
               Brain’s eyes glance around at the laughing faces. Calm warmth washes over his heart, its magic dulling all the jagged self-loathing and trepidation that’s been festering for months. Normally a loner, Brain finds himself pleasantly content to bask in the presence of these people. He wants to hear more, listen to their laughter, see the smiles on their faces—he wants to be part of this.
               So this is what it’s like to have friends.
               “Y’all are rude,” he says flatly.
               Again, they find hilarity in the situation and even Brain isn’t immune to the happiness pulling at his lips.
               Maybe Ava was wrong about him, but at this point, it doesn’t matter. He’s here and there’s not much he can do to change that. Even so, he’s not alone. These four were able to overcome his flaws and show him a bit of friendship so they must be the key to their salvation. He’s not going to stop trying to find a way out of this mess, but maybe he can bring himself to trust these people, even if he has to do it a step at a time. They can help and, in return, maybe he can help them.
               At least he’ll try.

Escape - Brain
Iiiiiiiiiiii totaly forgot about this one. In the chaos of life, I forgot the Brain Zine has concluded and can now post my stuffs!
So here's the first fic I wrote.
Premise: Brain fights to survive the war
Words: 1,487
~~~~~
               This is it.
               The bell that tolls shatters the fragile reticence that Daybreak Town had been clinging to. People in the streets draw weapons to turn on each other. Allegiance to one’s union is all that matters now, even if it means striking down people with the same values. Darkness has its hold and won’t relinquish it until every last heart has been devoured.
               The young man looks over the madness seizing his home. Though he may not have been an involved individual of society, even Brain can see the tragedy of this outcome.
               A hand adjusts his hat—a nervous habit. The other holds a white-knuckle grip on the Master’s Defender. With a deep breath, he steels his nerves.
               “Here we go.”
               Into bedlam he descends. Not even two steps into town, a keyblade comes at him. Brain avoids the assault, yet can’t bring himself to retaliate. He fought side-by-side with that kid just a few months ago. She saved his life from a pack of gargoyles; she shared her dream of a safer place for her younger siblings.
               Now she’s giving it her all trying to kill him.
               Perhaps it’s mercy or maybe it’s cowardice—regardless, Brain slips past the girl and flees deeper into the fray, leaving her fate in someone else’s hands.
               Much of the same awaits him. People he once saw working together now face off with sheer brutality. Hearts begin to riddle the sky as souls led astray find their way to Kingdom Hearts. Brain had tried to come to terms with what would happen today, but he never could’ve prepared for this.
               “Stay back!”
               Boots skid to a halt; he recognizes that voice. Eyes search the discord, falling on the back of someone familiar. Before him flutters a heart, on its way to join the rest.
               “Ven!”
               The young boy looks back, as if snapped back to the anarchy. “Brain!”
               Brain waves him on. “C’mon! We gotta get outta here!”
               In agreement, the boys are off again, dodging and darting through the madness. The older wielder does his best to focus on each present second. His life is on the line here and any morbid musings could cost him. Still, he can’t help but wonder how it all came to this.
               Their path leads to the clearing outside the city—right into the heart of the battle.
               “Is this really the way Master Ava wanted us to go?” Ven asks, just missing a keyblade swinging towards him.
               Brain’s weapon redirects a spell shot their way. “It’s just on the other side, on top of the bluff.”
               “Wouldn’t it be better for us to go around?”
               Gray eyes glance back at the kid. “We don’t have—”
               Brain cuts himself short, catching the gleam of a blade aimed straight for Ven’s back. Darting back, his weapon comes up but he was not prepared for the strength behind the blow and it knocks him to the ground along with Ven.
               “I’m impressed you managed to deflect my attack.”
               His blood runs cold; they’re in more danger than ever. Staring up his union leader, Brain can’t begin to fathom how he and Ven are going to escape Master Ira.
               There’s a chilling fury lying beneath the master’s even tone. “But doing so to defend someone in another union—you’re smarter than that.”
               Fear floods through his veins as Brain stands. Fierce and skilled befitting a union leader, Ira is probably the last person he wanted to meet on the battlefield.
               His leader lowers his weapon, which is almost more terrifying.
               “Still, I’ll forgive you—if you slay him.”
               His heart seizes. Brain looks to Ven. He’s just a kid. Brain could never hope to fend off Master Ira, but he could take on Ven.
               The grip on his keyblade tightens.
               Suddenly, Ven shoves Brain back. A split second after, the blonde leaps away. In his place is a massive bronze keyblade that surely would have split Brain’s skull.
               This couldn’t have gotten any worse.
               “You would protect someone from another union?!” the large master roars at Ven. With all that power behind his hefty weapon, Master Aced is just as fearsome a foe as Ira.
               Rushing to Brain’s side, Ven wields his keyblade. It’s faint, but it’s there: the trembling wracking the young boy’s body. He’s afraid but, even so, he’s willing to fight at Brain’s side.
               Admonishing himself, Brain sighs. All the courage he can muster allows him to raise his weapon against his own leader.
               Wrath rolls off Ira in droves. “How disappointing. No matter. My Union has no need for traitors.”
               It’s all Brain can do to keep Ira at bay—hell, he can barely keep his grip on his keyblade which threatens to fly from his grip with every attack. Behind his back, Ven keeps out of Aced’s reach, retaliating when he can, though gaining little against the master.
               There was never any hope for them.
               Master Ira’s blade aims to stab. There’s just enough sense in his head that Brain leans aside, pain biting at the slice in his cheek. Still, there’s an opening, no matter how slight. Taking it was underestimating a master, however.
               Brain’s reprisal earns him a blow to the side of the head, Ira smashing the guard of his blade into his enemy. The unexpected strike puts the younger man to the ground for a second time.
               “What a shame. You truly were a clever one.” It’s a true compliment, but in the face of death, it feels scornful. “May you find Kingdom Hearts.”
               Eyes shut, he braces for the end. But an ear-piercing screech sounds and the attack never lands. Daring to peek, Brain finds the back of another Foreteller—the one who put him on this path to begin with. Her arms quiver beneath the strength of Master Ira, but she forces him back before he can overpower her.
               Aced roars. Ventus scrambles to disengage as Masters Invi and Gula double team the larger man.
               “You have your orders.” Ava prepares to take on Ira. “Don’t look back.”
               Her name makes it past Brain’s lips. “Ava…”
               Ira rushes her.
               “GO!”
               Mesmerized by the battle of masters, Brain doesn’t move until a hand snags his arm.
               “No time for distractions, cowboy.” Lauriam hoists Brain to his feet, Ven at his side. “We have to go.”
               He can’t help one last glance at the fight—one last glance at Ava—before racing after the others.
               The trio has a much easier time making their way through the battlefield watching each other’s backs. With the largest threats behind them, they arrive atop the bluff, overlooking the raging war.
               “What do we do now?” Ven asks between gasps.
               Lauriam looks down on the victims with pity. “Now we wait.”
               “Wait for what?”
               “Master Ava said we’d know when we see it,” Brain replies.
               A light ignites behind the boys and they turn back to see a white portal opening wide. Just as it does, more people arrive atop the bluff, prepared to escape this hell.
               The leaders usher the Dandelions through the portal, all the while glancing back. There are still two people missing.
               “Where are Skuld and Ephemer?” Ven searches the fray. By now, all but the new union leaders have stepped through.
               “I don’t know, but we can’t wait much longer,” Lauriam says.
               “We can’t just leave them!”
               “Even three of us are better than none. Remember, we’re responsible for the Dandelions now.”
               Ven looks to Brain who keeps his mouth shut. Lauriam’s right, but Brain doesn’t feel he deserves a say at this point.
               Just when all hope is lost, two more ascend the bluff, carrying a third between them.
               “Skuld! Ephemer!” Ven bolts towards them. “You guys had us worried!”
               Ephemer looks down at the unconscious wielder. Brain’s seen them around before; they’re a remarkable keyblade warrior who would be invaluable to the Dandelions, but he was certain they had declined to join.
               Ephemer adjusts his grip. “Sorry. But I couldn’t leave them behind.”
               “Skip the apologies and just get in the portal.” Lauriam takes over Skuld’s spot in supporting the kid. “We’ve already waited too long.”
               Brain starts to follow but pauses. The clashing noise draws his gaze back to the battle below.
               This is the result of all their hard work fighting for the light—death and some stray survivors. There’s no promise that what they’re doing is the right choice, no promise that this war won’t repeat itself under their leadership. For all they know, their efforts to ensure light’s survival will be in vain. For what hope did a few dandelion seeds lost in the wind have against the all-encompassing might of Darkness?
               But there’s no turning back now.
               As Brain steps into the portal, abandoning the forsaken world and its residents to their fate, only one thought runs through his head.
               What did we get ourselves into?
Rather Than You - Cait Sith & Kitsune!Reader
Tumblr media
I get the feeling this isn't exactly what you were looking for...but it's pretty on par for me. I actually had fun with this after finishing rebirth and I really REALLY love kitsune, so that was fun. But anyway, you've waited long enough so enjoy!
WARNING FOR FF7 REBIRTH SPOILERS!!!
Premise: Cait Sith gives his own life to save the others
Words: 1,788
~~~~~
               The journey together hasn’t been long, but it’s been the wildest ride. There have been reckless escapes, cautious subterfuge, and more close calls than I care to remember. Despite these harrowing events, I would do it all over again.
               Or at least I thought I would.
               Many would many would think me a fool for so quickly growing attached to the little animatronic. I learned the hard way that they were right. Our first encounter had me instantly charmed. That charisma broke through the stress and chaos of our mission, bringing smiles or even just sarcastic eye rolls. What’s more is that he listened, even when no one spoke.
               Long before Nanaki, I suffered the chains and needles of the mad doctor—all for simply existing. My magic, my body, my existence all became an eager fascination for dissection. There were traumas aplenty in that laboratory and I will never be the same free spirit I’d been all those decades ago.
               But Cait Sith brought back genuine smiles, even by accident. I didn’t need to speak a word, but he always knew just the ridiculous act to pull me from morbid ruminations. And when I did speak, he listened, waiting until just the right moment to say the right words. I never understood how an artificial creature could have such empathy, let alone for someone like me. We couldn’t be any more different, but thanks to him, I began to have hope again.
               Then came the betrayal. Watching the keystone fall into Shinra hands simply because we trusted him tore me apart. I wanted to scream, I wanted to tear him apart, I wanted to disappear. His actions cut deep and now I feel more alone than ever before.
               Even now, I haven’t quite come to terms with it, evident by the trial forced on me in the Hall of Resurrection. But there’s nothing I can do—there’s no time to cope. All I can do in this moment is forget who I am and move forward.
               My name shatters the delusions I’d thoughtlessly chased, giving me only a fraction of a second to avoid the claws closing down on me. Even then, I lose a few hairs at the end of one of my tails for my neglect.
               “Focus up!” Cloud demands, rushing past to swing at the massive wall demon.
               Though the man’s been acting out of sorts himself, he’s right—this is no time for self-pity. A shake of the head dislodges the distraction, hopefully, and I turn my full attention to the fight at hand.
               Twin tails flicker, multiplying to nine in their flurry. In my hands, flames the color of clear skies ignite. All this pent-up grief would serve me better in other ways.
               Walls crawl ever closer as we battle not one, but two of these monsters. I give all I have, hoping each burn I inflict will lighten the burden in my heart. It never does, but I fight on regardless.
               Golden light glitters on the floor, catching my eye. In its midst, entirely unaware in her concentration, stands Yuffie.
               There’s no second guessing what happens next. My body lurches forward at the single notion of getting her clear of the attach. It doesn’t matter how hard the collision is or that, while she falls clear of the attack, I don’t.
               An immense weight bears down on my leg before a powerful snap echoes in my ears. Pain sears through my muscles, tearing a scream from my mouth. Officially, I’m down and out for the rest of this fight, struggling to stay conscious against the agony.
               “I can’t mend the break, but I can help.”
               Warmth seeps into the pain, dissolving it bit by bit, until it becomes bearable enough to pry my eyes open. The demons are gone. All but Cloud shows me their concern, Aerith holding a gentle hand against my leg.
               “Thanks,” I breathe.
               She nods. “Can you stand?”
               The slightest movement sends fire through the limb and blurring my vision. “Not without help.”
               A shoddy splint stifles the shifting, at least allowing me to stand, but it’s Barret’s strength that helps me move forward.
               Ahead of us lies an altar where stands our ex-SOLDIER companion. As we make the last steps, the Temple trembles, Cloud seemingly unaffected by the chaos he’s caused. Aerith confirms that the Temple is crumbling around us, meanwhile Barret leaves my side, struggling with Cloud to replace the black materia. When that doesn’t work, grim reality spreads through the group.
               “I’m back—just in the nick o’ time!” A pair of fingers tip off the ear to me as if he wasn’t a traitor.
               I can only stare, utterly dumbfounded at the audacity of this cat to show his face again to the people he stabbed in the back.  But before Barret can put a few holes in him, Cait Sith rolls beneath the sinking altar, giving his all to keep it from collapsing.
               “Run—while there’s still time. Leave the heavy liftin’ to me!”
               Air hitches in my chest.
               “For real?” Barret asks, his own arm straining against the platform.
               Aerith steps forward. “But what about you”
               “No need to fret about a bot like me. I wasnae built to last.” The cat’s knees quiver. “I wish I hadnae skipped leg day. Cannae hold out for long, so run…as if your lives depended on it!”
               Vincent makes his entrance, calling for us to follow him to the exit. The others begin to rush past me, meanwhile, I’m paralyzed in more ways than one.
               “Hey cat, ‘ppreciate it.” Barret’s hand releases the altar, leaving the struggling feline to bear its full weight.
               “Off with ya.”
               This is when I notice Barret coming straight for me. I choke past the lump in my throat.
               “No.”
               “C’mon.”
               “No!” I stumble in an attempt to back away from him.
               It takes the man very little effort to hoist me over his shoulder, all while my fists pound uselessly against his back. Watching Cait Sith grow farther and farther out of reach grips at my heart, the jerking feeling rattling my vision.
               “No! Cait!” I reach out in vain. “NO!”
               My heart surges forward as I race back for the cat.
               “Oi, what are ya doin’?! Get out of here!” he shouts.
               “I’m not done with you!” Tears slip past my anger.
               He peers up, the worry falling from his face. “Oh, I get ya.”
               “You…stupid cat!”
               “I know. I’m sorry.” Even his stuffed moogle doesn’t slow the altar’s progress all that much.
               This torture far exceeds whatever ache a broken leg could inflict. All this anger and grief mixed together pours forth completely out of my control as I scream at him.
               “Sorry doesn’t cut it! What were you thinking?! After everything we’ve been through, how could you do that to us?!”
               He grimaces as his legs give a little more, but then he turns a pure smile on me.
               “I was thinkin’…that, if someone had to get hurt, I’d rather it be Shinra…than any of you.”
               Even if the rage falters, there’s enough sorrow to take its place and keep the tears flowing.
               “I knew this place was dangerous…and that maybe we’d lose someone.” Those ears flop as he shakes his head. “But I couldnae stand the thought of that bein’ you.” His weak laugh is interrupted by his straining. “I know I could never hope to have a life as long as yours, but I’m honored to have had the pleasure of meeting you in the time I had.”
               A hand over my mouth doesn’t stifle the shuddering sob.
               “Cait…”
               “Now there’s a whole wide world out there. And I know it can be scary and dark and cruel…but people like you and the others make it worth savin’…So you go out there and save it and find the good that makes livin’ worthwhile.”
               My knees meet the stone just as his do. “Cait! Please!”
               “Just…remember me now and then…okay?”
               A hand shoots forward, passing right through the altar with no effect. There’s nothing I can do.
               The small bot begins to crumple. “It was a good run…while it lasted.”
               The moogle’s eyes begin blinking in error.
               “You did…what you could.”
               “Cait, no! Get up! Please!”
               “The rest is up to them.”
               Those are his last words. The altar finally reaches the ground and Cait Sith is gone.
               Pieces of the ceiling finally start to give way, crumbling around me. A massive section falls, bringing down Cait’s moogle, who reaches out to lay a hand on the altar. All while I watch, utterly useless.
               In the following moments, the Temple continues to collapse until finally, it all comes crashing down.
               My eyes snap open, a sharp breath filling my lungs. Dust billows past, clouding the dusk sky but clearing quickly.
               Careful, Barret lowers me onto the ground, the stabbing pain of my injury returning. “You alright? You passed out for a while.”
               Rubbing my eyes, I peer past him into the vast gaping hole where the Temple of the Ancients once stood. It doesn’t even compare to the emptiness creeping over me now.
               A sob rattles my chest.
               “Now that’s not a sight you see every day, eh?”
               All gazes immediately fly back. Upon a large stuffed moogle stands a little crowned cat, proud of the entrance he’s made.
               Barret voices everyone’s confusion. “But you—we saw you!”
               His little boots meet the stone floor as he hops down. “If I popped my clogs, they’d be sobbin’ in the streets at the Saucer. This beautiful body’s but one of many!”
               The feline strolls right up to me, throwing his arms out, prepared for the embrace he knows I’m dying to give. Without hesitation, I snatch him up, arms tight and relieved tears flowing.
               Just as his face nuzzles against mine, I hear his words, soft and low.
               “You were his favorite.”
               My heart stops.
               He may look like Cait Sith, may talk and act like him—he may even have the same memories—but this is not my Cait Sith. We travelled and fought together. He was the one who spoke when I could not. He wove tales and sang lullabies when I was afraid to sleep. And now he’s well and truly gone.
               “Sephiroth.”
               This new Cait Sith gasps, wiggling free of my arms.
               “Get somewhere safe! Now!”
               I don’t protest or fight back when the massive moogle scoops me off the ground. Even as it hurries away, sending fresh waves of pain through my injured leg, I simply stare at the back of the cat, slowly coming to terms with the fact that I’d lost yet another person that I cared about.

Can't Disturb
(Terra finds Chirithy sleeping on Aqua's chair in the middle of the hall)
Terra: Why is your office chair out here?
Aqua: Because I wanted to close the door but Chirithy was sleeping on it
Terra: Fair enough

Hope you're doing alright! Just wanted to remind you that you don't *need* to finish something if it's making you uncomfortable or annoyed. I'd dearly love and appreciate the Cait Sith fic, but if it's causing stress, there's no need to worry.
Hey hey! I totally love and appreciate your consideration! But please don't worry. I love this request and I do plan on working on it. I just ran into some irl stuff, but I've got most of that cleared up now and have like way more free time than usual. Also fully decompressed after finishing rebirth so it's fine! Hopefully be done in a day or two.
But again, I totally appreciate the consideration ❤️

Hope you can salvage the rebirth playthrough! Is it a guide/difficulty problem or is it just not fun?
It's just not fun and I'm so very disappointed in this game...
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
My main gripes are the sheer amount of mini games. If there can be multiple videos of "Top 10 minigames" in just one game, there are too damn many. And I swear to the gods, if that moogle loses their moglets one more time, I'm gonna drown them all! Honestly, they just jam packed too much stuff into this game, which is a total bane for an OCD moron like me!
There should be gear load outs because I should not have to be forced to ruin my materia set up because I'm being forced to play another character. That's just a waste of time.
AND it should not take me more than 2 hours to beat the final boss! 13+ fucking phases of the same damn thing is not fun!
On the other hand, I enjoy the story. I'm actually really happy with the actual story and characterization of these beloved characters! I'm a bit sad they messed up Cait Sith's sacrifice, and forced the Cloud-Aerith date in that alternate world (that felt so awkward). But on the whole, I loved the characters and stories! Even some characters I never looked at twice!
But anyway, at this point, I plan on forcing myself to finish the game tomorrow because I need that story, but this game is such a disappointment for me.

BTW, for that one person who sent a request for Cait Sith like a week ago....
I PROMISE I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN YOU!!!!
I'm just trying to finish the FF7:rebirth first so I get the full feels. But it's proving to take longer than expected...
But prepare yourself for the feels!

Hi! I was wondering if you have an AO3 acc where I can read your longer fics or are they only posted on Tumblr? Thanks!
Hi! Everything's on Tumblr for me. My Ao3 really only has canon character interactions, but those are here too.
Is it a linking issue? I should probably go through everything and link all the parts/chapters together. Sorry. I promise I'll do that one day.
Or send me another message what you're reading and I can fix that up real quick in the morning.
In the meantime, my Masterlists at the top of every page might help you find all the parts in order easier.
Honestly, if you guys ever have suggestions how to make my page easier to navigate, let me know! I'm always looking for ways to make the reading experience better!
