Cold in the Coffee Shop
Tumblr media
It was cold in the coffee shop; but then again, I'm always cold.
That's why I've never neglected the blanket, that's why I've got so quickly so old.
All I can think of is you, laughing at me in your T-shirt, covering me in kisses and sheets,
Invariably shutting the kitchen window and holding my hand on the streets.
Somehow summer was not your best friend, but it has always been mine,
And I look at the grounds now and I ask for a sign,
Of how much from your heart was love and how much it was ice,
Wether all that coffee was worth paying its price.

Two sides
About us, I'd say there were always two sides,
Different like the day and the night,
The peace and the warmth I have found in your arms,
And the torment of your silence, of all the what-if's and the why's.

The Path Through The Forest
Tumblr media
One of the thoughts keeping me awake late at night
Is that we couldn't travel to the forest together, and I still don't know why.
We've talked about the secret path through the trees, but you've never come,
And now the leaves are turning to yellow and the summer is gone…

The Way Back
All the bridges are calling my name, To cross to another island, to walk on a different land, Rivers of rhymes, letters that will now burn, Lighting the way back from the point of no return.

Midnight by the river
Tumblr media
In our first nights, we gazed at the stars together,
And I thought you see the same beauty as I, water and stone,
Yet here I am, at midnight, by the Lotru river,
Watching the constellations alone…

Dieffenbachia Story
Tumblr media
Our love was like a rare flower,
Blossoming once in ten years or so,
You gave me wings, along with an astonishing power
To fly over the highest mountains and never let go.
I've nourished it with letters, kisses and poetry,
You've done your part by keeping on watering it, from time to time,
Next to the giant leaves we've had our coffee together, while sharing a fantasy
Of an almighty dragon subdued with a mandolin chime.
We've left blood and bones on the battlefield,
As we also have had our fights,
All taboos broken, all secrets revealed,
All wounds healed by the soft petals of bliss in our nights.

The Bridge in The Forest
Tumblr media
There's a bridge in the forest, not very wide,
Apparently purposeless, but you can't make it by foot pass the stone.
And maybe sometimes, it's the same thing in life:
You think you have enough time to cross over, but you don't.

The Request
"Babe, be mine!" - that's what you said,
With your soft, tender voice that gave me no chance.
With a poem about dragons, I answered "Yes!",
And ever since, that's how I stayed.

Sunday by the River
Tumblr media
Sometimes a number is just a number,
No hidden meanings, no metaphors,
A beach is not a beach unless the only things there are the sand and the water,
A forest we've never been into before...

August Supermoon
Tumblr media
August Supermoon. I can't even look at it without you,
Keep wondering, all those people in your life, what will they do?
The gifts I've offered, where would they land?
The letters I've written, would they be covered in sand?

The Rocks in our Hearts
Tumblr media
Some nights
I am afraid
I will call your name
Out loud.
Some days
I go to the beach,
I remember your voice
And the air gets too hot.
Some rocks
Are not to be climbed,
But carried
Inside your heart.
Some waves
Are not to be sailed,
But dreamt of
With your eyes shut.
(Megali Petra - The Great Rocks, Lefkáda, Greece)
