Marinette “I’m Marinette, to my right is Alya, and to my left is Adrien."

(Alya smiles and waves to the camera, flashing a wise smirk while Adrien gives a small smile and waves.)

Marinette “This week on Unsolved Mysteries we’re covering the real-life Men in Black, are they real? Are they as charming as their Hollywood counterparts”?

Alya “You know, watching Men in Black, I never knew it was based on a true story.”

(Marinette and Alya let out a chuckle.)

The Men in Black seem to only talk to two kinds of people, those who have seen a UFO and those who research UFO’s.  They present themselves as part of a secret organization, sometimes even presenting a white card with the word ‘security’ on it. And in some cases, they refer to each other by number rather than name. They threaten and scare people into remaining silent about their UFO encounters and/or research. Think of them as the cleaners of the extra-terrestrial universe.”

Alya “Okay, but Aliens are confirmed.”

look… im not saying i got into the batman fandom through damian x marinette fanfic but it may have happened.

now that i actually understand batman and all (most) his robins i gotta say these are some of the most ooc fics out there.

but also i was a little too young to be on wattpad and had no idea there were multiple robins.

also years later when i was way into dc stuff i went to ao3 to read some and i gotta say if you need any fic recommendations (that are very out of character, but pretty well written) all you gotta do is ask.

also why is mari’s class always the most terrible human beings in the world? i mean most maribat fics were written before season 4 but still.

also also they never (in my experience) bring up any of his trauma and make all of hers 10x worse, like i get she’s been through it but he’d probably been through worse by the age of 10 and they never bring it up.

most of these fics are also written by 13 (most likely younger) year olds in the mlb fandom who wanted a strong man to take her away from her struggles (self-insert) and figure “hey! why not damian wayne? she can fix him🥺” without truly understanding his character

im sorry, i have as much beef with this ship as i do the show and comics

Braids

Do you know how Game of Thrones Daenery Stargaryen gains a braid for every victory she won? Could you imagine if that happened to Ladybug and Chatnoir?

I'm not saying they gain a braid each battle, no. But more so that each battle MEANT something. Ladybug's first braid would come from her first-ever battle against Stone Heart. While I feel like Chat Noir's first braid could have been against the bubble for its meaning against fighting his father, even if it was Nino that was going against him by trying to throw Adrien a party.

But that's what I meant. Big things such as Stormy Weather art two, Hero's Day, Lies, Truth, Crocoduel, and other episodes where big things happened that Marinette and Adrien/ Ladybug and Chat Noir had to face that only show said victory through said braids.

And could imagine the drama/ trauma that could come from Hawkmoth getting the other miraculous? Imagine Ladbyg losing the braids because she felt as though she failed by losing the miraculous while Chat loses his because he failed to protect or help her.

And to find her and her company before they are captured by those that can bind them. On the other side of the world Batman is grieving a son, and is befriending a young woman that operates the Hero grave yard established to protect the corpses of their comrades and secure those of their enemies. The girl sews blankets and bakes cookies, eternally ready for guests and he can’t help but listen to her words. Marinette for her part, couldn’t take the battles anymore or the false love, but here in this grave yard she makes care gifts for living superheroes and tea for the ones that crawl out of her graves. It’s a different kind of saving, but it is no less important.

A more specific one if you want. Timinette. Mari has a muscle problem (think MS but much worse) most her life. The only thing that fixes it is Bane's venom. This means she gets to live a kinda normal life, but on occasion has to be a henchman/second in command to keep up her supply. This leads to the fun of "I don't want to do this but I don't have a choice" and "it might be selfish but a little crime is the price I pay for a normal life." (Do it how you want, I just want to see a good villain Mari story)

Mari couldn't help but remember how it felt to walk on her own. Not long after all that happened with Hawkmoth and the Miraculous, did she lose that ability startlingly fast. She was a child when it all started, he was defeated but the price she paid had started the moment she put on those earrings.

A Ladybug cannot be active without a Black Cat. Unfortunately she was a true holder while he wasn't. It started with constant fatigue, then the nightmares, then she couldn't stand anymore. Each and every person she healed, brought back to life took their toll. Soon she couldn't walk and was wheelchair bound, unless she was transformed.

Doctors couldn't explain it, stop it, or even slow it down.

The bullying got worse. But she endured it. Tikki was taken back by the Guardian after they beat Hawkmoth, she doesn't know who Chat Noir was, but she is glad for that. Her parents died a few years after college, so she decided to move.

Gotham isn't usually the first place people choose, Crime capital of the world and all, but she was drawn to it.

She had given up on designing after her parents died, so she opened a cafe and bakery, to honor their memory. She had enough funds saved from her commissions to set her for a long time if not for life, but she was never one to be idle.

So she had her things sent to her newly acquired building, the cafe on the first floor was renovated already, all she needed was to arrive. That is what was supposed to happen Tuesday afternoon, but a hitch came up.

She was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Her wheelchair had been damaged during the flight so security helped her outside. They said they would call for a taxi, but she is pretty sure they forget about her.

And she was kidnapped, not that it was hard, she couldn't walk and was tired, so really not hard at all. Wrong place at the wrong time could not be more accurate.

Honestly she should have seen it coming but she didn't. Which was how she found herself chained in a grimy warehouse in the dark, a singular spotlight over her.

“If you're going to hurt me can we get this over with.” She responded groggily and completely done with the situation already.

That's when he she saw him enter, his figure was huge, like that of a bodybuilder, a mask covering his entire head and tubes filled with green liquid surged around him. Believe it or not Marinette did do her research on Gotham and the person in front of her this was none other than Bane.

She found it odd that he would kidnap her, it wasn’t his usual mo from what she’s read, but there’s a first time for everything right.

He walks towards her with what appears to be a syringe in his hand. Came up to her, and he didn't say a word which is starting to really freak her out.

That's when there was a crash. From the darkness there appeared 4, 5, maybe 6 shadows. Her brain instantly registered that these must be the bats and birds of Gotham.

“Any closer and the girl gets the serum.” He now fully grabbed her the syringe millimeters from her neck.

And she closed her eyes, a pain shot throughout her, they came too close and he wasn't bluffing, what does he use? She never looked this far into it, at least not him because he never really used it on civilians. Bane never uses serum on civilians, on other rogues, yes, but on civilians he wouldn't, that was Scarecrow and Joker.

She felt her body tense and an agonizing pain shot throughout her system. It was as if her very veins were on fire expanding and contracting painfully, her mind was dizzied with from the pain. Nothing has ever come close to the pain that she felt right now. Not even while she was Ladybug.

She doesn't know how she ended up on the ground but she was. She can’t tell how much time has passed but everyone in the room seemed to be staring at her, frozen. The second she opened her eyes she couldn't think straight, she got up and ran away fast, as hard as she could, she ran away.

It wasn't until she was maybe 4-5 blocks away that she realized she's walking, no she's running. She hasn't felt like this in years and she felt so good to be able to move on her own again. That she continued to run.

She doesn't know how she even found her shop and apartment, but she did, she made it back to her apartment she doesn't know how but at this point she wasn't questioning it. The serum was liberating, she knows that the effects will probably wear off soon. But she wants to continue feeling this way. She hasn't felt like this in so long that it was euphoric.

She knows she shouldn’t, but she has been denied every happy, every good thing in her life for the past half decade or even more, that she wants some sort of happiness.

She had to find out what was in that serum. And to do that she had to find Bane or maybe even the other rouges may help.

So she found something more comfortable to move around Gotham in and hit the streets. She had originally designed it just for her to wear as a safety measure but this would be a better use of it. A black leather jacket, cargo pants, combat boots, a dark crimson long sleeve shirt, and red gloves. Red piping and stitching hid the armor plating she hid in each article. A mask that covered her neck and came up over her nose was in the same red as her shirt. She put in white contacts and her long hair in a braid that she pinned to her head. Then she was off.

It wasn’t long until she encountered her second rougue and it might have been fate, Scarecrow.

Yes she knows he is insane but she doesn’t see of another option that would help her. Besides breaking Bane out of Arkham, where he probably is already thanks to the bats.

So she approached the rogue.

“Stop there or or you’ll die.” He turned on her. “What are you doing here?” A gun waved lazily at her.

“I was hoping to strike up a partnership.” She offered not flinching away.

“And why would I want to do that?”

“Because I don’t fear you.”

He lunged at her but years of being a child hero she didn’t flinch, she didn’t even blink. He started to laugh. “You know what. What do you want?”

“Can you get a hold of Bane’s serum?” She answered voice calm.

“Hm. I might.” He hummed in thought. “So long as I get to poke around that brain of yours.”

He extended his hand to her, which she shook. After all, this might just be the only option for her.

“So what do I call you, Little Lady?”

“Beetle.” Was her response.

“Not gonna get your real name huh?”

“Not quite yet.” She grabbed a card from her jacket pocket and handed it to Scarecrow.

He took it. “Crane.”

She nodded to say she heard then disappeared, back home. Sure she gave up her miraculous but she still studied magic.

If you know where to look you can get your degree in it after all. Seeing as her university in England had several courses on the subject but many students overlooked them. Because without an affinity for the magical arts a seat in the class would have been impossible to get.

A smile spread on her features.

Well they always say ‘you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.’

BIO DAD BRUCE WAYNE AS A REALITY TV SHOW!!!!

It came to me while reading a fic, the Wayne’s think Mari doesn’t know about their nightly activities, but she does know and she isn’t telling them to mess with them, imagine,

Batboys sitting on a couch like in those tv shows:

Duke: we’ve been trying every we can to make sure she doesn’t find out.

Dick: if she ever found out she’d be in so much danger so we’ve even been taking different shifts to keep an eye on her.

Tim: but she’s starting to get suspicious, just the other day she found a batarang in the living room, we all just told her some lie about how we found it and decided to keep it, no one knew who it belonged to though.

Damian: all in all, it was an idiotic lie.

‘Scene switch’

Mari walks into the dining room with a confused face and a batarang “hey guys anyone knows where this came from? It was in the living room” everyone turns their head at Mari and look like they’ve seen a ghost, “isn’t that the batarang we got from Batman’s last fight with the joker?!” Could be heard from the table followed by a bunch of ‘oh ya’s and ‘that’s where it was’s, “thank Mari we really owe you one” said Dick in a nervous laughing voice, Mari looked at them suspiciously while they all internally panicked for about 10 seconds then responded in a cheerful tone with “ok” then skipped off out of the dining room while the Wayne's finally stopped holding their breath.

‘Scene switch’ ‘Mari sitting on the couch like a boss’

“Oh, I know, I've just been messing with them, but could you blame me? they actually think they can hide it, not when they act like that, so until they'll me, this is my enjoyment.”

Have we considered Mari as a SuperWonderBat love child created by CADMUS? Because I think it's something Lex would do, especially in the early days. After all, why clone ONE powerhouse when you can clone THREE? How did he get batman's DNA you ask? Maybe he had no clue batman's identity, maybe it was a collaboration with Ra's and he gave it to him. It would probably kill two birds with one stone, CADMUS creates the ultimate powerhouse, and the League get's and almost perfect heir (almost because theirs no Al Ghul DNA). Either way, something goes wrong and they end up getting rid of the kid (maybe they assume she'll be dead by adulthood because of how her DNA ended up, maybe she just wasn't showing her powers). Marinette finds her way to Tom and Sabine and is blissfully unaware of her parentage until way later in life.

Jasonette idea in which they meet while in university and after a few years start dating. A year goes by and they get married (drunk accident) and Mari gets pregnant a few months later.

Around Christmas time, Brice invites Jason and Mari to celebrate Christmas and the new year at Wayne manor.

The justice league is also celebrating there but as civilians

Nobody knows about Marinette being pregnant and since Clark was the first super to arrive and NOT be told the news, he makes the right assumption about and tells the other supers to keep it on the downlow.

Jon being Jon chose to wait till the two were in price and quietly congratulate them

Kara chose to stay silent but sent over a small box of gender neutral pacifiers and teething toys

Clark and Luis sent a text, sending their best wishes and told the two they could go to them for any advice

And Conner... He wasn't sure what to do so he chose to act as a sort of "guardian" towards Mari and Jason until they told the Wayne's about it.

Do Adrien stans realize being a superhero is NOT about having fun? It's about saving people lives. They'll forgive Adrien for using his powers irresponsibly since he has a bad home life, but don't realize that could put someone in danger. If Adrien had to face consequences for acting this way then everyone else would see how this isn't goid behavior. The sane people will criticize Marinette for using her powers irresponsibly even tho she gets called out for it.

Canon truly has a double standard when it comes to Adrien or Marinette shirking responsibility as their alter egos. When Ladybug does things selfishly or impulsively she almost immediately faces consequences. It may not be every time, but it's still more than what Chat Noir gets for being selfish or impulsive.

Marinette misuses her Lucky Charm in Bubbler, causing Bubbler to start capturing the classmates. Her choosing Kagami over Chloe* basically leads to all the nonsense that is Miracle Queen. She lashes out at Lila and it makes her a permanent enemy.

Meanwhile Chat Noir consistently ditches Ladybug during an akuma attack bc she won't return his feelings and it's presented as something Ladybug has to apologise for.

Imagine if Ladybug skipped out on an akuma attack because she was sad about Adrien? Or if she deliberately endangered Adrien so she could be a hero and save him? The fandom would tear her to shreds. They already did when Ladybug got distracted by Adrigami in Miracle Queen*.

* = Canon and fandom try to make it out like a selfish moment where she only took Kagami to get her away from Adrien, but I really think it was superfluous and she would have chosen Kagami regardless of if Adrien were around. Kagami and Chloe both had their identities revealed, but at least Ladybug knows Kagami is trustworthy.

Personally I would want Chat Noir to either learn boundaries and consequences, or just... lose the Cat Miraculous. He doesn't take his role seriously or seem to care about people getting hurt, because the show can't for the life of it focus on something that isn't romance, and it thinks that intentionally riling girls up is true love bc "she's so cute when she's angry".

I couldn't find the original post that inspired me but it's basically that Jason and Marinette have known each other for years and have been "having fun" for quite some time. Marinette decides she wants kids and Jason decides to help. (It's not 18+, it's purley Alfred meeting the kids)

Alfred watched as Jason walked down the hallway, moving as if he had done it a million times. 'He probably has,' Alfred observed, noticing how Jason didn't even have to look at the door numbers to know which one to go for.

Jason leaned down and opened a loose panel from the cheep carpet squares that had occupied the floor and pulled out a spare key. He flipped the panel back over and jiggled the key into the lock, pausing to look back at Alfred.

"I'm really sorry for everything, you know. I really- I've been shit to everyone, but you got it the worst. At least Bruce deserved it." The last part came out as a mumble but Jason pulled the key out and opened the door slightly, stopping before fully opening it and holding the door open.

"Just- I need you to trust me Alfred. And no matter what, don't tell Bruce. He and Tim can't know about this."

Jason finally moved back, allowing for Alfred to enter first and get a good look at the apartment.

It was nothing terribly big, just a simple apartment. Although it was on the nicer side of Gotham, near the highway. The first room he walked into was a kitchen that was attached to a small living room. There were tiny trinkets and kids cooking utensils scatter around the kitchen.

On the left side of the room he could see two doors, one of which was probably a bed room and the other a bathroom. To the right of the room was a large staircase that lead to another bed space and bathroom, as well as what looked to be a storage room. A

From behind him, Alfred heard the door shut and lock.

"Elly? Noah?" Jason yelled, making his way to the staircase. He rounded the corner of the banister and went up to the third step, yelling once again.

"Elizabeth, Noah?" he shouted, and once again there was no response. Taking a breath he went up another step but paused half way.

From above, the sound of stomping feet echoed around the apartment.

Alfred sucked in a sharp breath upon seeing whos feet the noise belonged to. Twins, each with their own thick, poofy hair and a precious strand of white stocking throughout from their roots to the ends of their hair.

The boy was truly the spitting imagine of Jason, sporting blueish-green eyes and a magnificent dusty head of blackish-gray. The girl, however, sported a single white streak with the smallest strands of grey around the it. Her eyes varied, almost seeming to shift from different hues of green and blue.

In that moment Alfred knew, he was once again a great-grandfather.
