Trying to parse the subtle difference between turquoise and teal. I think the conclusion was that some turquoises (the stone) are teal coloured, but teal is a more standardized description of the colour that is mid-way between green and blue.

Once upon a time I gave money to a Kickstarter game project because an artist whose work I enjoy was attached to the project, designing monsters. The game took many years longer to release than projected and didn’t really live up to the initial concept, but to my surprise there were some miniatures attached to the tier that I pledged to, and they did send them when the game officially released. This has been my main painting project for the past year.

Decorative panel inserts for my Ikea kallax cube shelf - each 15″ x 13″. 

In-progress photographs of the underpainting and affixing found object textures with acrylic paint on cardboard. My plan is to paint over in white that mostly catches ridges and lets through hints of colour.

Xylol Hext - copaxi machinist

Played during Band on the Run module for Starfinder. They are a colony of polyps who are the drummer/percussionist of the band. They have a little seeing-eye robot assistant named Skrill.

Dirge Rukkzeuge - tengu cleric

My spooky gal played during the Malevolence module for Pathfinder 2e. Fun times haunted house adventure with a wacky crew of ghost exterminators.

Dirge collects bones from victims of murder and hauntings and dyes them rainbow colours. It’s her odd way of providing tribute to the goddess of art who she follows and honoring the memory of the victims. She has also been in the habit of bleaching the feathers around her face in a lighter colour over time.
