Woodland critters in clothes

I've grown up with a lot of old cartoons about bees, mice and badgers, which definitely helped form my life-long love for animals. The ones I remember most fondly were The Animals of Farthing Wood, Maya the Bee and Nils Holgersson.

I've recently discovered some lovely art that I managed to miss until recently, so I'm posting it below.

There were some illustrated books and shows whose names I can't remember, so I thought I'd ask Tumblr if you have ANY recommendations for anything related to the subject. Books, shows, artworks, please let me know!
