My friend needs your feedback!! He runs a website [Lingopie] where you can learn a language by watching TV shows and movies.
As a polyglot, he is super passionate about learning and teaching languages and wants to help students and language learners succeed. He has been working on this project 24/7, so your feedback would make his day! Here is the problem:
His website is still young, so they have limited funds to obtain licenses for movies and television shows. To help as many people as possible, he is wondering what languages you would like to learn or have exams for, so he can focus on expanding the media collection for these languages. I really like him and want his project to succeed, so I created a form where you can vote.
The following languages are available at the moment: Japanese 🇯🇵, Korean 🇰🇷, Spanish 🇪🇸, French 🇫🇷, German 🇩🇪, Italian 🇮🇹, Portuguese 🇵🇹 and English 🇺🇸
Which language are you most interested in? Please vote here!

My current plan to recover from my mental and emotional existence is to just go so deep into being insane that I'll come out sane on the other side. Being a chronic people pleaser plagued with impostor syndrome stretched me too thin, and that leash simply snapped and I am now a completely untethered, unapologetic vermin.
Fuck having impostor syndrome, if I'm not entitled to be here they should've barred the doors better. If I'm doing everything wrong because of imaginary rules that nobody told me about, that's their problem, you should have made your confusing system more idiot-proof.
I'm not here to please everyone and do everything right. I'm here to make bad art, chew on furniture, make people laugh, cook awful food and look at pretty landscapes, and piss off the people who don't want me to exist. If I have an unseen infinite debt somewhere that I can never pay back, I'm going to keep running that tab until I die. I'm alive purely because the universe is shit at pest control.

Painting by the Japanese illustrator and designer Ayami Kojima, made for Akumajō Dracula Best Music Collections BOX
This macabre work, showcasing a duality play between light (gold) and dark (red), is heavily inspired by Byzantine icons.
Byzantine art is a term for art produced in the Byzantine Empire in the time span between about c. 330 to the fall of Constantinople in 1453. This art is primarily characterized by rigid forms of expression and characters presented in static postures, which is a way of communicating their divine, heavenly nature. The more static they are, the further they are from mortals regarding them. Such is the logic of Byzantine art, where in this way each figure on the panel is situated in the higher planes of existence.
Simon Belmont is shown in a saintly manner, on a background of gold, which was in Byzantine art created from real gold leaves. His garments are crosses and he is surrounded by six-winged Seraphim angels, considered to be closest to God.
On right there is the antithesis, Dracula, on a background of blood-red. A simple stylized city is shown behind the theatrically dark-clad Dracula, and a many-tailed dragon roars before his feet. In this way he is presented as the saint of death, as the Dragon is a mythical being most closely associated with evil and destruction. In the Biblical book of Revelation, a seven-headed dragon appears in sky, being one of the heralds of the End Times.

with increasing life expectancy it seems irresponsible not to consider disability in some form or other an inevitability
I know some people in the disabled community think such statements are trite and I respect that opinion, but I really do feel the need to state frequently and emphatically that anyone can become disabled at any time, no matter how healthy and perfect you think you are.
You could get hit by a drunk or just plain careless driver and be rendered paralyzed for life. You could have been born perfectly healthy but then come down with an autoimmune disease at age four (👋). You could go your entire life eating "right" and exercising, and still come down with a neurological condition that will render you blind. At. Any. Time.
I remember when Obamacare was instated and they had a hard time getting young ablebodied people to sign up because they thought they were invincible. One notable case had someone rail against the notion they needed affordable insurance because they were young and healthy... And then they ended up disabled in a car crash and had to raise money for the hospital bills because they didn't sign up for insurance.
Disabilty isn't a punishment for bad or lazy people, it's purely random. And the older you get the more likely you'll end up like us, and be treated exactly like us.

in my country if a severely disabled person's care becomes "too expensive" they're forced out of their independent familial lives and made to live in a care facility with increased risk of neglect or just being straight up murdered by a carer
and then the liberterian party is like "we need to move disabled spaces out of tourist areas in city centers nobody wants to see that shit"
taken seriously my ass most people actively ignore our very existence or do the most to make it harder
and that includes current covid/general infectious disease policy
blows my mind when people try to argue “yeah well physically disabled people are taken seriously 🙄” I think all those people should try being physically disabled and explaining their limits to a doctor or parent or other family member or employer or teacher or
