Ok I think we’re at the point where I can put this her but just in case SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.
I’ve been thinking this for a while but like, NWH just wouldn’t have happened if Strange had just decided to make it so no one remembered the video that Beck made. Like why did they both jump to the extreme of oh yeah everyone who knew you were Spider-man yeah they’re all gonna forget.

I’ve started learning Russian and it’s completely Nat’s fault. Like I’m already learning Italian and Spanish but my stupid ass was like sure let’s add Russian the language that uses a completely different alphabet than all the other languages you speak.

(This is kinda a continuation of yesterday’s post but oh well, anyways.)
Before Peter’s identity as Spider-man got revealed, he created a huge rivalry between Peter Parker: Tony Stark’s Intern, and Spider-man. It happened after Peter was revealed as Tony’s intern and people were showing up at the school trying to interview him. One interviewer asked what he thought of Spider-man and he impulsively responded “Oh that guy? Yeah what an asshole dude thinks he’s better than everyone like he’s not even that cool swinging around in his stupid spandex suit”. That became super viral and even made it on the news until eventually, someone managed to get an interview with Spider-man when he was on his way to the Stark Tower. They asked if he’d seen what Peter said about him and what he thought and he responded “Oh yeah that Peter punk? Doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Kid doesn’t even know what responsibility is, he can’t even pass gym class.” and it escalated from there. Eventually Peter made two twitter accounts, one called StarkIntern, and one called TheRealSpidey. They would basically just make jibes at each other and the internet loved the drama. Eventually Peter’s identity was revealed and the entire internet realized they’d been trolled, they all laughed it off and there were only a few hate comments about it, most of them coming from Flash

Before Peter’s identity as Spider-man was revealed, his identity as Peter Parker: Tony Stark’s intern was revealed. Previously Tony’s intern was known as just that, Tony Stark’s intern, every picture of him didn’t actually show his face and it was this big mystery. Friday would blur and/or delete every photo taken of Peter in the Tower. When Peter was finally revealed as Tony’s intern it was in the most roundabout way possible. Flash went to Stark Industries to try and get an internship since he’d seen online that Tony Stark had a new mysterious intern. When he went to apply for an internship he was asked what department he was interested in working under. (Stark industries had a number of interns in every department the difference between them and Peter was that Peter didn’t work under Stark Industries, he worked under Tony. Flash said he wanted to work under Tony Stark and they tried to explain to him that that wasn’t possible. Eventually he ended up throwing a fit and Mr. Stark had to be called. Instead of Tony though, Peter came down. He explained that Tony couldn’t come and had sent him instead. The staff called him Mini Boss, as per Tony’s request and Flash eventually figured out that Peter was Stark’s mysterious intern. (I mean seriously Flash isn’t stupid, he also goes to Midtown idk why people always portray him as an idiot.). He made a sound of realization and Peter turned to him. They both froze and eventually both ran in the direction opposite the other. When Flash got home later he was obviously upset and jealous and he made an impulse decision to post a picture of Peter next to one of the blurred pictures captured of Stark Intern. He even managed to find one of them wearing the same shirt. The post went viral and within 48 hours, everyone knew who Peter Parker was.
A/N: Hey guys I finally posted again! I’m really really sorry it took so long I’ve been stressed as all hell but I’m finally on break so I have a bit of time so I’m gonna try my best to post stuff here and on my other account. Anyways that’s all I really had to say, thanks for reading this I love y’all.

A few years after Peter officially became and Avenger, he got kidnapped. The worst part of this wasn’t that he had been kidnapped necessarily, but it was that no one noticed for a week. It was finals week and Peter was kinda going to two colleges at the time since he had a specialized course load from MIT and was taking any in person classes he couldn’t take online at NYU. So the Avengers thought that Peter was staying at May’s and May thought he was staying at the Tower and Ned and MJ both just though he was too stressed to respond to their texts. They only noticed when finals were over and none of them saw or heard from Peter. It started with May because Peter always tried to visit her at least once a week. She asked Ned and Mj if they’d heard from him recently and they both said they hadn’t and admitted that was kinda weird so they all went to the tower to talk to the Avengers. Once all of the Avengers said they hadn’t seen him everyone started to get really worried. Tony asked F.R.I.D.A.Y to pull up the last time Peter or Spider-man showed up on any camera at all (which is like slightly illegal but Fri is totally capable of it and Tony’d be totally willing so) when Fri showed that the last time Peter’d been seen in any capacity was over a week ago they all started freaking out even more and Bucky and Nat even went as far as pulling out the knives they somehow always have on their person (is it a Russian thing or a spy thing? The world will never know). Tony asked Fri to pull up the last known footage of Peter in full and the team watched as Peter walked on what was seemingly a random lawyer’s office (he was totally walking towards Nelson and Murdock btw), they watched him enter the office, and stay in there for an hour before he finally left, they did note his hair was obviously more ruffled than when he entered but decided it wasn’t important (Matt has a thing for playing with Peter’s curls and you’ll never convince me otherwise) they then watched him walk out of Hell’s Kitchen and walk to what looked like the way to May’s apartment. As soon as he reached the border into Queens (or left what seems like a certain red themed vigilante’s range of hearing) however, he was suddenly surrounded by 30 armed men in black tac suits, and it was here that the team was reminded of the fact that Peter is constantly holding back and saw what he can fully do. It started with Peter fighting with his normal amount of strength until his eyes seemed to lock onto a part of one guy’s uniform and his entire fighting stance changed. The Avengers watched in awe as Peter took out all 30 guys singlehandedly while backup filed in, all in all he took out almost 60 highly armed and trained kidnappers before someone finally managed to hit him with a tranquilizer. It was when the Avengers saw what was on the back of the seemingly nondescript black van the kidnappers were driving that they went from frantic to hysterical, because on the back of it was a small HYDRA symbol.
AN: Hey y’all I finally found time to finish this, it’s been sitting in my drafts for a while and I’m at a DECA competition thing if any of y’all know what that is so I had some time. I’m planning on doing a part 2 to this but idrk when. Anyways feedback is always nice so like comment if you liked it ig.

Hey y’all, quick update. I’m really sorry I haven’t been posting like at all recently, but that’s probably gonna have to continue, at least through October maybe longer. Rn school is kicking my ass plus I have two jobs and I’m taking Drivers Ed so I’ve kinda got a busy schedule at the moment and I just haven’t really found the time to post anything. I’m really really sorry, I wish I could and I’ll keep trying to find time but it might be a while.

Tony had a panic attack when Steve touched the arc reactor for the first time since Siberia. And it wasn’t a small one either it was a gasping for air, falling to the ground, shaking kind of panic attack. Steve didn’t even realize what he did until Natasha pushed him away from Tony because he had kinda forgotten about the arc reactor and what he’d done. It was such a bad panic attack that literally no one could calm him down, not even Rhodey or Pepper. It took Pepper getting F.R.I.D.A.Y to call Peter when he was at school to talk him out of it. Peter took it in stride and once he realized what was happening he was able to get Tony out of the panic attack but that entire situation held a lot of realizations for the team. One, they realized for the first time just how affected Tony was by Siberia and that he was no where near as ok with it as he said he was. Second, Tony and Peter had a way closer relationship than any of the Avengers (Barring Rhodey because he already knew) though they did. At this point they’d only met Peter once, and he was introduced as Tony’s intern. And sure they liked the kid well enough but he was kinda a nervous mess and he seemed to get cold and shut off when he met Steve and unconsciously moved to stand in front of Tony. Now they realized just how close the two were because the panic attack was so bad that Rhodey his best friend of like 25 years and one of the only people he trusts completely couldn’t get him out of it, and neither could Pepper the love of his life and one of the only other people he trusted completely, but some random intern that Tony’s known for maybe a year at this point could get him out of it pretty quickly? It didn’t make any sense to them. They were however snapped out of their collective thoughts when Tony ran out of the training room and locked himself in his lab.

Captain America always has been and always will be propaganda. He was created to be more but he ended up becoming a propagandist act to sell war bonds. Even when he was in the war he was propaganda they glorified him and his part of the war to try and get more people to enlist. He would’ve continued to be propaganda after he died. Most likely he would’ve been pulled into right wing politics that Steve Rogers wouldn’t have supported. Captain America continued as propaganda when Steve was alive, Steve had a little more control over it but in the end Cap was still a propagandist figure. He will continue to be a propagandist figure with Sam as Captain America. Cap will most likely represent a different kind of propaganda now. He’ll be used in BLM protests and the fight for civil rights. He’ll probably be pulled into left wing politics now, but in the end he’s still propaganda. The only problem with this (because propaganda isn’t necessarily a bad thing) is that people expected Steve to live up to and represent all of the propaganda Cap had become while he was dead, because eventually there was no one left to remember, and I mean really remember Steve Rogers the little boy from Brooklyn who couldn’t back down from a fight. Peggy tried her best but she didn’t actually know that person. She saw some of that when he was in boot camp (but he was only there for like a week) and he saw little glimpses of him when Steve was around Bucky but the only people who really knew Steve the kid from Brooklyn were Sarah Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and maybe Becca Barnes-Proctor. Sarah died so she wasn’t left to remind the world of who Steve was, Bucky had been taken by HYDRA so he wasn’t able to do anything, and I think in the beginning Becca would’ve been to hurt to have talked about Steve in public because she linked him and Bucky so closely in her mind and they both left her. Talking about Steve would’ve only reminded her of his and her brother’s death. Over time she would’ve tried to set a few things straight but at that point it would’ve been to late. The Avengers were guilty of this too. Every single one of them thought he’d be what they believed Captain America to be like. Tony had it the worst because he was fed that propaganda from his father from a very young age. Natasha (and Thor sort of but he wasn’t good at seeing past the masks people put up at the beginning, he thought Tony was an arrogant asshole who didn’t care about anyone, Natasha was a cold Russian spy willing to do anything, and Steve was everything that Captain America ever represented because those were the masks they put up) was the least guilty of this because everything she grew up hearing was covered in propaganda and lies and it was an instinct to look through everything and try to see if it was true but even she fell victim to it. Nat eventually saw through it and got to know a little bit of Steve, and so did Sam. But it wasn’t until Bucky came back that the Avengers really saw the real Steve Rogers. Because up until that moment Steve had been trying to live up to their expectations because he had lost his sense of identity. He pretended that he couldn’t stand cursing and still believed in god (even though he started to lose faith when his Ma died and continued to lose it throughout the war, then lost it completely after Bucky died). At first he tried to hide it, he would only be Steve Rogers the little shit from Brooklyn when he was alone with Bucky up until one time when the Avengers (bar Steve and Clint) were in the common room heard someone loudly swearing with some of the most creative expletives they’d ever heard and had F.R.I.D.A.Y pull up video of whoever it was doing the swearing figuring that Clint had come home from the compound early. Instead they see Steve yelling at Bucky while Bucky’s sitting there looking at him with a shit eating smirk on his face.

Bucky knew Howard Stark, he was friends with him. A lot of people kinda just assume that Bucky only would’ve known Howard by association but I feel like they actually would’ve been pretty good friends. Bucky would’ve sat in Howard’s lab while he worked whenever the Howlies were at a base for a little while, and he’d be completely enamored by all of the SciFi looking shit and be constantly asked questions and making suggestions for crazy inventions. They’d talk to each other a lot, Howard would drink and Bucky would smoke and they’d just enjoy each other’s company. Bucky was always hinting at Howard making him a new sniper rifle and a few weeks before his mission in the Alps he finally gave it to him. They would talk about their families and their homes and anything else that came to mind. Howard would always give Bucky a secretly heartfelt goodbye before he left and told him he needed him to come back alive and in one piece. When Bucky fell off the train Howard Spent months searching the entirety of the railroad track they were on and never found a body. A couple months later when Steve crashed the Valkyrie Howard spent all his time (when he wasn’t helping the war effort obviously) looking for him because he’d once made a promise to Bucky that if anything happened to him he’d look after Steve and make sure he was ok. The reason Howard calls Bucky “Sargent Barnes” is because it’s what he always insisted on calling Bucky during the war because he knew it annoyed the shit out of him, and once Bucky caught on that he wasn’t going to stop he started replying with things like “My dear Mr. Howard Stark, the worlds most illustrious genius” or “Starky my boy, the savor of all men in uniform” and increasingly ridiculous titles.

Neither Steve or Bucky were ever marked KIA, instead they were marked MIA. This was largely because of Peggy and Howard pushing the brass to leave them as MIA. Howard would’ve known that there’s the possibility that Steve would’ve survived crashing the Valkyrie because of the way the serum works, because Howard is the one who knows the most about the serum besides Erskine so he would’ve argued that he had the possibility of surging and therefore should be marked MIA. Peggy on the other hand is to godamn observant to just accept that they died. She definitely had a hunch that they had injected Bucky with some of brand Super Solider Serum while he was a POW and knew that if there was a possibility that Steve survived then there was also the possibility that Bucky did. She also knew that those two were to godamn stubborn to die without the other, Bucky because he needed to keep Steve’s stubborn ass from getting killed, and Steve because he needed to make sure Bucky wasn’t too much of a self sacrificing asshole (Seriously I know that Steve is usually pinned as the self sacrificing one but he doesn’t really care about the rules or safety of anyone that isn’t Bucky, pretty much the only times we see him being self sacrificing is when Bucky’s life is on the line. Bucky on the other hand purposely got himself tortured in order to make sure none of the other POWs had to, he stuck up for the skinny kid he didn’t know, and he always made sure to protect the underdog.). In the end the combined forces of Howard and Peggy managed to get both Steve and Bucky marked as MIA instead of KIA because of the serum, the fact that no bodies were ever found, and because you don’t say no to Peggy Carter.

Tony always knew that his parent’s death wasn’t Bucky’s fault. Even during the fight in Siberia, he doesn’t attack until he finds out that Steve knew and he doesn’t attack Bucky until Bucky starts to help Steve. And honestly all things considered Tony’s reaction was pretty valid, he’d just watched his parents get murdered by someone who looked exactly the same as the person in front of him and he found out that his friend and someone he really looked up to (even if he’d never admit it) knew the entire time and didn’t tell him. The way Tony channels his emotions is to hide them behind others, it’s a product of his upbringing, so he was hiding his sadness and grief behind anger.

Ok so I’m rewatching Civil War rn and I had to pause it when I noticed this because it’s pretty fucked up. When Clint shoots the arrow with Scott on it at Tony, Scott just goes in and starts pulling random wires out of Tony’s suit. This was obviously premeditated since it isn’t exactly a move you can pull without preparation and they didn’t really have time to talk through it in the middle of all the fighting. If Scott had pulled the wrong wire, Tony could’ve fucking died, like the suit could’ve powered down meaning Tony, who was flying pretty high in the air would’ve fallen. In addition to that if the suit is powered down, there is pretty much no way to get him out of it other than either powering back up which he can’t do unless he somehow gets access to inside his suit to reconnect the wires Scott pulled out or literally cutting him out of the suit. So if the suit had bent when Tony fell on it and a piece of metal lodged inside of him they wouldn’t have been able to get it out for a very long time. Let alone the psychological damage because of the fact that until pretty recently the arc reactor which is connected to the suit was the only thing keeping Tony alive. And this was all premeditated, so while team Iron Man was going easy on the people they considered friends (with the exception of T’challa) team Cap was aiming to seriously injure if not kill. I’m not saying that either team is right here, because honestly they’re both wrong and the way they handled it was so fucking stupid because they could’ve just sat down and had a godamn conversation for once, like yes the accords were necessary, the Avengers couldn’t continue as they were unchecked, however the accords as they were would’ve caused more harm than good and could’ve been used to manipulate the Avengers into doing nefarious work and they wouldn’t have been able to refuse. However I am saying that Team Iron Man were very obviously keeping in mind that they cared about these people and weren’t aiming to kill or even seriously injure, the same can’t be said about Team Cap, especially considering what happened to Tony and Rhodey.

When Peter and Sam met it was when Sam went down to Tony’s lab to get Red Wing fixed on one of Peter’s lab days. When Peter saw Red Wing he got really excited and asked if he could work on it, Tony started to say yes but Sam cut in with a very vehement no. Peter got all sad puppy dog eyes on him and then showed him Droney. They got to talking about their respective drones and eventually Sam tentatively let Peter take a look. Peter ended up finishing it in less time than it’s taken Tony in the past and even added some improvements like longer battery and better camera quality. Since then Peter is the only one that Sam will trust with Red Wing (and his actual wings). One time when Scott was at the tower, Sam and Peter were talking about Red Wing and Droney and excitedly telling stories about them. Scott jumped in with some stories of Antony but then got really quiet and sad and said that he really missed him. Sam didn’t get it at first and went to ask what he meant, but Peter who understood what it meant because of his many experiences dealing with loss shook his head. Peter then offered to let Scott ride on Droney if he wanted and Sam jumped in offering the same with Red Wing. They ended up having a race to see who’s drone was faster it started with Scott vs Hope with Scott on Red Wing and Hope on Droney. Then Scott and Hope let Peter and Sam borrow the suits and race against each other on their own drones. Droney won both times. Peter may have been cheating just a little though because he knew exactly how both Droney and Red Wing worked (and maybe did a few modifications to Droney before this) and knew how to use that to his advantage. He also wasn’t afraid to tell hope how she could use it to her advantage. (That part about Sam, Scott, and Peter is heavily inspired by something I saw at some point but I don’t really remember where so props to that person. The parts about Sam and Peter meeting and the Droney vs Red Wing race are all from my brain though.)

Tony never fully believed that his parents died in a car crash. He’s a genius and he would’ve been able to figure out that things weren’t quite right with the scenario. However, in order to process his trauma he convinced himself that he fully believed that’s what happened, causing him to resent Howard. Even though he would’ve realized that the glass didn’t shatter the right way, and that his mother always wore her seatbelt when they were driving, or when he realized that the further he looked into his fathers records from that time the more it looked like he was doing some top secret confidential spy stuff, he would’ve seen a lot of mentions of someone called Soldat popping up in his notes (Let’s be honest Howard definitely knew that the WS existed and it’s probably what got him killed. He might’ve even known that it was Bucky, he probably would’ve been able to recognize him even if he was shaggier and missing an arm.) That’s why Tony lashes out when he finds out how his parents were really killed. Logically he always knew it wasn’t Bucky’s fault, but the mix of all of his mental blocks and barriers painstakingly built up over the years coming down, witnessing his parents murder, and the betrayal of a close friend and someone who (even though he’d never admit it) Tony really looked up too resulted in Tony violently lashing out. And even then, Tony was never aiming to kill, (neither was Bucky) Steve was.

SPOILERS FOR WHAT IF EPISODE 5!!!!!
Ok seriously why the fuck does the MCU keep putting Bucky through the ringer? Because like all the shit in like the official like timeline of the MCU is bad enough but to have Bucky in an alternate timeline have to kill Steve, that’s fucked. That is literally his worst fear, that fear was so strong it broke him out of 70 years of torture and brainwashing. And that fear only intensified after Bucky escaped and effectively defected from HYDRA because he had almost been forced to kill Steve, and at any time could be put back under the influence of HYDRA or other nefarious organizations with the use of his trigger words and could be forced to do it again, and he didn’t know if he would be able to resist another time. This fear was so deeply rooted in him because it was evolved from his already present fear of Steve dying which he’d had since they’d met. Because of this the fear remained steady even after the trigger words were removed. So not only is it immensely cruel for the writers at Marvel to make Bucky kill Steve in what if, especially of his own violation (And seriously what the fuck was that guess this is the end of the line bit why would they do that jfc) but it is extremely out of character because in almost no world would Bucky be able to force himself to kill Steve, even if he had been turned into a zombie, especially when they were on their way to finding a possible cure, and definitely not with Steve’s own fucking shield.

Scott being gone for 5 years but not even snapped away becomes even sadder when you consider the fact that his biggest fear was missing Cassie growing up, which was a huge motivator in him turning his life around, and when he finally manages to do that and becomes the hero she’s always seen him as (which is like all he ever wanted) he still misses her growing up. (I just rewatched Antman, I’m working my way back through the mcu cause it’s been a while since I’ve watched a lot of the films.)
