Having been watching old movies and found this gem.
It’s so perfect in every way I can’t believe I didn’t even know about it until now.
Wikipedia says it actually got a lot of nominations including the Oscars Best Picture but unfortunately it came out the same year as Titanic. Makes sense.
Oh and Guy Pearce really looks like Val in here sometimes.

Anakin, trying to be a responsible Master: Listen Snips, you know what they say, fucking is fine, feelings are not.
Obi-Wan, covering Ahsoka’s ears: No Anakin, that’s not how the Jedi Code is defined.
Later that night……
They fucked with feelings

I don’t think there will be a Season 2, but a new series about Rosie prosecuting Nazis would be really great🥺
Oh and I like that everything, anything, can eventually lead to Star Wars.
But jokes aside, if you like wars dramas and are looking for Masters of the Sand something about the North African Campaign, then I strongly recommend SAS Rogue Heros.
It’s not as big (or serious) a production as BoB or MOTA, but it is not just a cheap entertainment piece either.
It’s sleek, stylish, full of British kind of humor, not in any way self serious, but very decent.
It also has good cinematography and great performances—I mean it has Alfie Allen! Guy’s absolutely brilliant in anything he’s in.
Edit: Oh there are also gays.

probably totally ooc!iceman, but i need him a lil (lot) shy like he is his ice persona when he has his uniform on but the moment he gets home, after a shower? Soft hair and glasses, shirts big enough to be Slider's (and mostly they are), all smiles and relaxes shoulders.
And I want a confident mav going absolutely feral over this ice, his Tom, who blushes when mav calls him sweetheart and let him take his face between mav's hands and let himself be kissed silly during breakfast but has the most witty answers in every occasion. A Mav who flirts with him, kisses Ice's cheeks because he's blushing - once again - and let himself be admired because Ice is still Ice and being shy doesn't mean he isn't cocky or a bit of an asshole in every other situation too.

What would you do if you find a snake in your tent?
Easy Company: We’d skin, cook, and eat it.
The 100th: We’d call room service, and demand to know who left a tent in my suite.
Ron: *Silently plotting*
Winters: No, you are not murdering anyone, Speirs.

Masters of the Air Episode 9 spoilers alert
I feel that sometimes we just take Crosby for granted, but looking back, he's probably the only one whose character is fulled explored. I mean they have many great characters, but unlike BoB, they didn't give it enough time to really develop those characters.
Rosie's friendship must have been one of the few things to keep Crosby sane.
I mean Rosie has been everyone's hope, symbolically.
And despite being such a badass, he's just such a sweetheart.
Is the concentration camp scene suggesting we are getting a Rosie the Judge spin-off? Because I'd watch the hell of it.
"Please repeat" "You heard me the first goddamn time Gale"😭😭😭
I like how Rosie and Crosby still calls Bucky and Buck "Major" or "Sir" despite themselves being a Major now, too.
And Crosby calls a slightly younger airman "son" 😂

Paul Newman & Robert Redford together offscreen Part 2
I like all of them but especially find the last one precious because it was on the shooting site of The Great Waldo Pepper, and Paul is not even in the film☺️

Spy Game is so overlooked by shippers that I have to play with AI to get myself supplied.
So I tried to test which one of the popular AI models is the most shipper friendly (actually no, I was just bored), and here are the results.
To my question of do you see any homosexual aspect in Tom/Nathan relationship,
Gemini answered:
The film "Spy Game" doesn't explicitly depict a homosexual relationship between Nathan and Tom. Here's why:
Focus on Different Aspects: The movie prioritizes themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the moral complexities of espionage.
Brotherhood/Mentorship: The relationship leans more towards a strong brotherhood or a strained mentor-student dynamic.
Historical Context: Released in 2001, the film predates a more open portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters in mainstream cinema.
However, there can be subtext interpretations, and here are some points to consider:
Physical Closeness: In some scenes, their physical closeness might be read as more than platonic depending on the viewer's perspective.
Emotional Connection: Theirs is a deep emotional bond forged through shared experiences and danger.
Limited Options: Spies often operate in isolation and rely heavily on their handlers, creating an intense intimacy.
ChatGPT:
While there are moments of emotional intimacy between the characters, particularly as Muir reflects on his past experiences and the choices he made, the film does not overtly suggest a romantic or homosexual aspect to their relationship. The focus remains primarily on their professional dynamics and the complexities of espionage.
Interpretations of relationships in films can vary among viewers, and some may perceive underlying themes or dynamics differently. However, within the context of "Spy Game," there isn't explicit evidence to suggest a homosexual aspect in the relationship between the two leads.
Copilot:
I have not seen the film Spy Game, but based on the web search results, it does not seem to have any explicit or implicit homosexual aspect in the relationship between the two leads, Nathan Muir and Tom Bishop. They are portrayed as mentor and protégé, and their friendship is tested by their loyalty to the CIA and their personal values. There is no indication that they have any romantic or sexual attraction to each other.
However, some viewers may interpret their relationship differently, depending on their own perspective and experience. Some may see a subtext of homoeroticism or homosociality in their interactions, especially in the scenes where they are physically close or emotionally vulnerable. Some may also compare their relationship to other films that explore the theme of homosexuality in espionage, such as The Imitation Game1 or The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. These interpretations are subjective and not necessarily supported by the film’s narrative or the intentions of the filmmakers.
Ultimately, the relationship between the two leads of Spy Game is open to various interpretations, but there is no clear evidence of a homosexual aspect in the film.
Claude:
I have not actually seen the film Spy Game, so I don't have direct knowledge about the relationship between the two lead characters. Without watching the film myself, I can't really comment substantively on potential homosexual undertones or aspects of their relationship dynamic. Movies can sometimes depict complex relationships between characters that go beyond surface appearances, but analyzing that would require me to experience the work firsthand. I don't want to make unfounded speculation.
Claude was a disappointment.
Gemini on the other hand, can even write some pretty decent fanfics as long as you feed it with appropriate prompts.
I mean it’s nowhere near human writers in terms of originality, attention to details, character arcs, etc., but they are entertaining enough as short stories when you can find literally nothing for your niche & rare couples.
ChatGPT is also not too bad in this regard.
None of them can write explicit stuff though.

I seldom watch awards ceremonies but today somehow I just put SAG Awards on as background while cleaning my room, and I’m glad I did so because RDJ just openly acknowledged Val in his acceptance speech:
James Spader, Anthony Michael Hall, Mel Gibson, Whoopi Goldberg, Woody Harrelson, Holly Hunter, Kenneth Branagh, Jodie Foster, Annette Bening, Val Kilmer, Jamie Foxx... Susan Downey. Now why have I added my wife's name to this list of otherwise super talented artists I've learned so much from up close? It's because for 22 years she has flawlessly portrayed a sane and rational individual who is happily married to an actor.
Also glad to hear Robert Redford’s name dropped and see his face in the Barbra Streisand tribute😊
