Hi I'm Madness.
My favorite band is die ärzte and I can and WILL BE extremely annoying about it. But hey, that's exactly why I am on Tumblr.
My die ärzte sideblog: @daemadness
I'm crazy about many things, including: cats, languages & linguistics, stupid humour (Monty Python ftw), arts (I also draw myself!), movies, video games... you name it. Which means: this blog is a MESS. Follow at your own risk.
Some basic phrases in North Sámi - hopefully, part of a series of posts. As alway, comments and corrections warmly accepted.

Regarding the map of income per capita where Germany is still divided: the map is divided in regions per country when there is significant difference. Look at Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders) and France (Paris metropolitan area is separated).
I'm not so familiar with the exact borders in Europe, I honestly don't know what even are Wallonia and Flanders... Sometimes on these blogs, there just are maps that are completely wrong (have had to correct info about Finland so so so many times before, and I'm not the only one), so I assumed it was yet another post that just took an old European map and treated it as the current map.
getting real tired of people being like “this book, from 1503, is not woke, and so no one should ever read it again” like y’all just use some critical thought
The way you change your immediate reactions to things is that you catch yourself having an uncharitable/bigoted/overly judgmental thought and you catch it and replace it and then you do that a hundred times a day for your whole life and eventually one day like five years later you realize that you think differently now and you’ll always be working on something but that’s how life goes and that’s fine.
I think I dislike ‘fuck canon fanon rulez’ takes because time after time I see how boring and predictable fanon is and how often it reinforces racism and misogyny etc. in ways canon never did
and I think having to work around canon and with canon to make something new usually ends up pushing people to make something weirder and cooler

Having snow in April is messing with my circadian rythm. I'll look out there and it's all white out and I think "hmm, it must be around noon? 2 pm?" and then I look at the clock and HOW IS IT SEVEN IN THE EVENING.
