the exception
pairing // calum hood x fem!singer!reader
summary: the media doesn’t fully know about your relationship with calum until you sing an unreleased song on live
italic: flashback
bold italic: lyircs
(i recommend listening to the exception by olivia rodrigo while/before reading this.)
Tumblr media
"hello!" you exclaimed as you started the live. you waited a few moments to let more people join before answering or saying anything. you played a few random notes on your piano as you read over the comments, answering a few questions that seemed interesting to you.
"'when are you releasing new music?' i actually don't know. i write a lot, but i haven't been in the studio," you answered, continuing to play some random notes, which you ended up playing 'lover of mine'.
"'what's your favorite moment from hanging with 5sos?' um," you thought for a moment, "i- oh i actually can't say that." you thought about the time where the four of them were doing their cocktails chats video. in the middle of calum explaining one of the songs, you walked into the room.
"hey, baby," calum smiled once he caught sight of you sitting down beside michael.
"hi," you replied, watching the smile fall for his face. "why are you pouting now?"
"i'm sitting here with no kiss and i don't like it." you, along with the rest of the people in the room, laughed at his statement before you got up to give him a kiss.
of course you could tell that story, but you and calum wanted to keep your relationship private for as long as you could or felt like.
after answering a few more questions, people finally realized what you were playing on your piano and asked if you could sing something. you smiled, thinking now would be a good time to sing an unreleased song. without you realizing, calum had joined.
he was in the studio with luke, michael, and ashton when he noticed you were live. he had called the boys over so they could all watch you.
"your hand on my leg under the oil painted sky. wind blowin' through our hair on the 405."
memories of sitting in calum’s car with his right hand making a home on your left thigh, riding around for hours with no specific destination ran through your mind as you closed your eyes to visualize your lyrics.
“and traffic's at a standstill, it's LA, what'd you expect? we're listenin' to Zeppelin, you're kissin' my neck.”
“cal, stop it,” you giggled as calum left a trail of kisses on your neck. the radio was turned to low volume but you could still hear the song playing.
“why?” he asked, one of his arms going around your shoulder to keep you close to him.
“you need to be watching the road to see if the traffic starts moving,” you told him. it didn’t make any sense since you’ve been sitting in traffic for the last 20 minutes.
“mm,” he hummed against your neck, “it’s LA, we won’t be moving any time soon, love.”
“you cradle me in your arms in the dark in the back. we're lookin' at the stars, the moon's lit cheshire cat.”
calum’s favorite thing to do when either one of you were stressed was to take you to “see the stars” as he likes to call it. it would usually be in the middle of the night, but you never did mind.
he’d let down the top of his car and lie down in the back seat, cuddling you in his chest as the two of you stared up at the stars.
it was a place where the two of you would have most meaningful conversations, or have your most memorable moments.
you shared your first kiss there, gave yourselves to each other, any meaningful memory with him happened at that spot.
“and your parents can probably see from the window. they'll say, "they're just kids", oh, what the hell do they know?
you open your eyes to look through the comments. some comments wanting to know who inspired the song or when it was written. others were simply complimenting your voice and how much talent you had. you closed your eyes again once the chorus came along.
“scared, i love you so much i’m scared.”
this was the first time you had sang this song in front of anyone. after six long years of you and calum dancing around those three words, you had finally said them out loud. obviously, no one really knew that you were talking about calum, excluding the people who do know about your relationship.
“'cause they say young love's a loss or it's a lesson.”
while your eyes were closed, there were some fans who realized calum and michael had joined.
‘OMG MASHTONN’
‘okay we have two out of four where are luke and ashton 🙄’
there were many more comments, some of michael praising you and dropping hints, none that you could see because your eyes remained closed.
“here, i just wanna be here. my heart is tellin' me we're gonna be the exception.”
you thought about the words that were said at the very beginning of your relationship with calum, whether it was from friends or family, they were stamped in your mind for a long time.
‘they’re not going to last long’
‘it’s only temporary’
‘it’s not like you’re going to marry him, you’re young’
no matter how many people doubted the two of you, you had faith that calum was the one.
as you finished playing the notes on the piano, you looked at the screen with a shy smile on your face. you scrolled through a little before one comment caught your eye:
calumhood: alright, let’s go sit in traffic and listen to Zeppelin. that okay with you?

The Moon and the Sun (Zuko x Reader) Part 11
Part 1 Part 10
Masterlist
You were sitting out by the water, feeling the waves come up and softly flow over your feet before retreating back to the sea. It was the push and pull that you were longing for, but this was as close as you would be able to get to feelings it. Once you had reached Chameleon Bay you had automatically come out to the water, it was a habit you had picked up on when you were traveling through the earth kingdom. You would go and sit out by the water after you landed, either to heal yourself or to just feel the water moving. But as you reached the edge of the shore you realized you couldn’t feel the water flowing like you usually could, and that thought was enough to send you to your knees.
Once your knees hit the ground you fell forward, quickly catching yourself with your hands as you looked down at the sand. You felt as if your whole world was caving in, you felt utterly alone and helpless, abandoned. You closed your eyes, not willing any tears to escape as you slowly pushed yourself up so that you were now sitting with your legs crossed. And when you opened your eyes you just sat there, envying the ocean as the waves came on short to barely touch your feet before being pulled back.
Everyone understood that you had lost a lot during that one night, they didn’t know how much you truly had lost but they didn’t want to ask you. They were scared to ask what happened after they lost you in the tunnels, and they were even more scared to ask how you got the new scar on your face. So instead of asking they watched you sit on the shore, bringing you food and trying to start a conversation but after they realized you didn’t want to talk yet, they stopped asking. They were just content that you were still eating and were somewhat taken care of.
But after four days of you sitting out by the water, not leaving other than to go to sleep, Sokka decided it was time to talk to you. You hadn’t talked to anyone since that night, your last words being to Sokka before you started to sob and couldn’t get anything out. He had just pulled you into his chest, silently hoping that you would be okay and stop crying, but he didn’t realize when the tears stopped the you would also stop talking.
Sokka didn’t say anything as he walked to the shore and slowly sat down beside you, glancing to see that your eyes weren’t red and puffy anymore but instead looked lifeless, and he didn’t know which one was worse. In the past few days they just sat your food beside you before walking away, so when he sat down you knew that he wanted to talk.
“You’re being uncharacteristically quiet.” You said after a few moments of silence, and your voice was so quiet that Sokka questioned whether or not he had heard you.
“I just didn’t want to talk if you weren’t ready to.” He said in a soft and caring tone, it was the same tone that he used when he confronted you about sneaking out in Ba Sing Se, the same tone that he used when comforting Katara, Aang, or Toph. He looked over at you, hesitating for a moment before he decided that he couldn’t wait any longer to know. “What happened once we were separated?”
“Once we were separated I ended up being found, I thought I was going to be able to get away, but I hit my head and when I woke up Azula was there and had already taken over the Dai Lee. I tried to get out a few times, but it never worked. The day Aang came they were taking me to the Fire Nation and I was able to get away from the Dai Lee agents who were escorting me and then I met up with Katara and Aang.” You paused for a moment as you looked down at your hands, which were now covered in scars that resembled lightening. They were small, barely noticeable, but they were all you could see when you looked down at your hands, and you knew that they stretched up your arms and to your back. “Why were they in the Catacombs that day?”
“Iroh came to us for help on finding Zuko, Azula had captured him and he knew that Katara would be wherever he was.” Sokka said and you couldn’t help but feel a sting in your chest when you realized they were there looking for Katara, not for you. Sokka seen the hurt that crossed your face, and he knew what you thought so he was quick to correct himself. “Y/N we did look for you, but we thought that maybe you hadn’t got out and they destroyed the Dai Lee tunnels so we thought that you were dead. But when Iroh came to us he said that Azula mentioned you to them, it was why she got the best of Zuko.”
“Azula has always used him and I against each other, she knows we make each other weak. That’s why she tried to kill me, she knew he would be stronger without me, no weaknesses and no reason to question which side of the war he belonged on. I know you just see her as a lunatic with fire and lightening but she is smart, smart enough to know that I always thought the best of her. I always knew she would hurt me, I have a scar across my back to prove that, but I never thought she would have it in her to kill me.” You said the words slowly, turning away from Sokka as you thought about the next words that were going to leave your mouth. “But that’s the worst part about it is that she didn’t kill me, at least if she killed me I wouldn’t have to live knowing that she tried to, and that he didn’t do anything about it.”
“Y/n you’re scaring me, you sound like you wish you would have died.” He said as he looked over at you in shock, practically praying that your next words would reassure him that you were going to be okay. Realistically he knew that you weren’t okay, that it would take a while for you to be okay again, but he wanted to know that you knew things would get better.
He just sat there looking at you, waiting on you to say something. But when he seen the tear run down your face he knew he wasn’t getting an answer, because you couldn’t give him one that wouldn’t scare him even more. So instead he just moved closer to you and pulled you into a hug, careful not to hurt you and giving you time to pull away if you didn’t want to be that close to anyone right now. But almost as soon as his arms went around you, you buried your face in his chest as you let out a broken sob.
You cried for a while, him just silently rubbing your back to comfort you. He was scared to say anything in the moment, scared he would make things worse, and even after you stopped crying he stayed silent. You had pulled away from him, now sitting beside him and once again looking out at the water.
“I know you feel like you’ve lost everything, but you haven’t. You still have us. Me, Katara, Toph, and Aang.” Sokka said after a while of silence. And as he looked over at you he felt the same protectiveness he felt when he seen Katara upset. “We’re your family, and we aren’t going to leave you, not like they did.”
“Sokka you have to calm down.” You said in a calm tone as you put your hand on his shoulder, trying to stop him from digging at the rocks that had just collapsed.
“You want me to calm down?!” He yelled as he turned around and looked at you, throwing his hands in the air. “How can you even ask me to be calm in a time like this?” “It’s okay, we’ll find them, and we’ll get out of here.” You said with confidence, but truth was you were terrified. You had traveled with Zuko and had been in a few situations that you didn’t know what to do, but at least you knew where you stood with Zuko, you still had no idea where you stood with Sokka. And that was an important thing to know when you were trapped in a cave with no way out.
Aang trusted you because you helped him escape from Zuko and Katara trusted you because of everything that happened at the North. But you still weren’t sure about Sokka, the two of you had had a few conversations but it wasn’t near the level of openness your conversations with Katara had been.
“I can’t listen to anymore music.” He said in a hushed voice to you, and it took everything in you not to roll your eyes at him. You couldn’t help but think of how the comment was something Zuko would have said, except he would have said it loudly for them to hear while Sokka tried to at least spare their feelings.
“It’s not too bad.” You said back to him with a shrug, he stopped and looked at you for a moment in disbelief.
“You were a ‘bad guy’ you shouldn’t be this optimistic.” He said, using air quotes when he called you the bad guy, as if to not offend you.
“A wise man once said that the way you approach a situation has a greater impact on the outcome than how you deal with the situation.” You said, a smile coming to your face as you thought about the number of times you had heard Iroh say those exact words to Zuko. “So, I like to try to have an optimistic approach to things.”
“You really think we can get out of here?” He asked, and when you nodded he let out a small sigh. “Okay, then I guess we should get moving.”
You gave him a smile as you started to walk behind him, trying not to crowd him as he looked over the map. It wasn’t long before you heard music and it once again took everything in you not to roll your eyes at Sokka when you seen the annoyance on his face from the situation. You knew it wasn’t the most ideal, situation but you honestly didn’t think that it could truly be that bad until you once again came to a dead end.
“Oh great, your plans have led us to another dead-end.” Moku said as he gestured to the wall of the cave that now sat in front of you.
“At least I’m thinking of ideas and trying to get us out of here Moku.” Sokka said as he turned around and glared at him and everyone else except you.
“Wait a minute?” You heard Chong say, causing everyone to look over at him. “We’re thinking of ideas? Because I’ve had an idea for about an hour now.”
“Yes! We’re all thinking of ideas.” Sokka said in a loud, and openly annoyed tone, as he moved his arms around the air.
“What’s your idea?” You asked, causing Sokka’s mouth to drop as he looked over at you in disbelief. You just gave him a shrug as you crossed your arms and looked back over at Chong.
“Well listen to this, if love is the key out of here, then all we need to do is play a love song.” Chong said, and you immediately looked over at Sokka to see him hit his forehead with the palm of his hand, hard enough for you to hear the contact. Chong started to play a song and as he started to walk, everyone followed him.
“I give up.” Sokka said as he shrugged and walked in the direction they were heading, you stood there in disbelief for a moment before jogging to catch up with him.
“So, do you believe love is really the key to getting out of here?” Sokka asked after a while of walking, and you looked over to see that he was already looking at you.
“I don’t even know if I believe in love.” You said as you let out a sigh and looked down at your hands.
“Well since your boyfriend is an angry boy with a pony tail, I don’t blame you.” Sokka said in a joking tone, and you just shook your head as you kept your eyes on your hands.
“He isn’t my boyfriend, never was.” You said and when Sokka let out a scoff you looked away from your hands and to him to see disbelief clear on his face. “It’s complicated.”
“Well it must be complicated for you to have feelings for someone like him.” He said, and you just let out a sigh as you crossed your arms tightly over your chest.
“He wasn’t always like that, he used to different. But life was never kind to him, so I guess he just decided that he wouldn’t be kind either.” Once the words left your mouth and you seen the look on Sokka’s face you knew he was about to argue with you, so you were quick to cut him off. “I know you think he is a horrible person and I know you probably think I am a horrible person too for staying on his side for so long. But he was all I had and now that I’ve chose this side to fight on, I don’t have anyone.” “That isn’t true.” He said, and you felt yourself tearing up as you seen the comforting look on his face. “You have us now. Me, Katara, and Aang are your family now.”
You remembered the hopefulness you felt when he told you that you were family in the Cave of the two lovers, but you didn’t realize how truthful the statement was until now. He was right, they were your family and they weren’t going to leave you. So instead of continuing to mourn over everything you had lost, you decided it was time to cherish everything you still had.
“Can we go see everyone else?” You asked as you looked away from the water and over to Sokka, watching as a smile came to his face.
“Yeah, we can.” He said as he stood up from the sand, brushing it off of his legs before helping you up. As you stood up you could see two figures standing by the edge of the makeshift base, and you instantly recognized them.
“It’s about time.” Toph said as you and Sokka reached her.
“Toph be nice.” Katara said in her signature mom tone, which caused a smile to come to your face as you pulled the two of them into a hug, Sokka joining in. You all stood there hugging one another until Toph started to complain about how Sokka was pulling her hair, and when you all pulled away you couldn’t help but smile at them, at your family.

Prefect Duties (Remus Lupin x Reader)
I am a simp for Remus Lupin so thought my first one shot for him should be complete fluff. As always hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!
Masterlist
“Lumos.” You mumbled to yourself as you lifted your wand up, slowly walking through the halls and ignoring the complaints from the paintings for you to put your light out. You only had one thing on your mind, finding your cat.
You were in the common room, reading on the couch with your cat when Malfoy got into an argument with some of his “followers” as you called them, which led to a lamp being knocked over right as more students walked into the common room. When the lamp hit the floor your cat, Hera, took off running out of the door and you grabbed your wand before quickly going after her. But that was all an hour ago and you were starting to lose hope as you went around the corner, but instead of being met with an empty hallway you were met with a familiar pair of eyes. Eyes that belonged to the Gryffindor Prefect who you were quite fond of.
“Y/n, what are you doing out past curfew?” Remus asked as he looked at you with a confused expression. You shouldn’t have been so affected by the question, but right as the words left his mouth you started to cry, which caused Remus to freak out. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. What’s wrong? Did someone hurt you?” “Hera got out and I can’t find her.” You finally managed to get out as you hurriedly tried to wipe the tears away from your eyes, not wanting him to see you cry but it seemed like the more you wiped your eyes the more you cried. Remus had seen you upset and he had seen you tear up, but he had never seen you actually cry so he truly did not know how to handle you.
“It’s okay.” He said in a comforting tone as he pulled you into a hug, an action that wasn’t uncommon for the two of you, but it still caught you off guard. He held you for a moment before stiffening up, as if he realized what he had done, and he slowly pulled away from you before giving your arm an awkward pat. “Come on, I’ll help you find her.” “You really don’t have to, I’ve been looking for probably an hour and still haven’t found her and I really don’t want to keep you away from your Prefect Duties.” You said as you shook your head, but you knew that you really did want his help. You wanted to find Hera and knew that he would give you a higher chance, and you would get to spend time with your favorite Prefect. Before you had the chance to give him anymore reasons not to come he brought his hands up to your face, wiping some of your stray tear away with his thumb.
“Helping students in distress past curfew is one of my Prefect duties so I think it’ll be fine.” A small smile was coming to his face as he said the words to you in a matter of fact tone. “And what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t help find Hera?” “I suppose you’re right.” You said as you gave him a small smile, which only made his smile grow. “Have you ever helped find a cat before?”
“No, but I did help Longbottom find his toad last year.” He said before he started to walk forward, you automatically moving to follow him as you brought your wand back up to light up the hallway. It was silent for a little while, the two of you just walking down the halls calling out for Hera every now and then.
You were almost hyper aware of how close Remus was walking next to you, your hands brushing against each other every now and then. You knew that you should be focusing on looking for Hera but with how close he was you couldn’t help the way that your heartrate was speeding up, practically causing your whole ribcage to shake. You could have sworn that you kept seeing Remus glancing at you from the corner of your eye, but you decided to ignore it as you continued to walk in silence, that was until Remus cleared his throat.
“So how did she get out?” He asked in an almost cautious voice, more than likely scared that his words would cause you to cry again.
“Malfoy knocked over a lamp in the common room, it scared her, and she ran out the door as some students were coming back in. I ran out after her, but it was too late, she was already running around the corner and by the time I reached the hallway she was gone.” You said, trying not to sound too malicious when you mentioned Malfoy. You couldn’t help the way you were already planning to ask James and Sirius to pull a prank on him, something you usually did not encourage the boys to do but you would make an exception this time.
“I’ll be sure to tell Pads and Prongs, they’ve been thinking about getting Malfoy all week and at least now they’ll have an actual reason.” Remus said as he kept his eyes on the ground, but you knew he was smiling as he knew you were probably thinking of the same thing.  Remus wouldn’t admit it, but he loved how well you got along with the rest of the Marauders, at first, they were all skeptical of you since you were a Slytherin but after a few conversations they all said you were a Gryffindor at heart. Remus knew of course that you were too ambitious to belong anywhere but in the famous green and silver house, but he let his friends use that as an excuse for why they got along so well with you.
“I was actually going to ask you if they would.” You said with a small laugh but as the two of you passed a window that faced the Black Lake your smile disappeared as you frantically looked up at Remus. “You don’t think she went outside, do you?”
“I don’t think so, most of the doors should be closed.” He said in an almost skeptical tone, one that instantly made you tear up again and once he realized that he shook his head and put his hands on your shoulders. “It’s okay, even if she got outside there isn’t anything on the grounds that can hurt her.”
“But what if she gets into the forest? Sirius told me the other day that he seen something while you were all out there.” You said in a frantic tone as a few tears ran down your face, but before you could say anything else Remus wiped the tears away before giving you a reassuring smile.
“Y/n, she’s not in the forest okay?” He asked in a calm tone and when you nodded his smile grew. “Come on, I have an idea.”
“Yeah?” You asked, and he nodded before taking your hand in his and pulling you back down the hallway. The two of you feel into a comfortable silence as you walked through the halls, you were trying not to let a blush come to your face from his hand holding yours.
You let your mind wander to the first time you and Remus talked, it was in charms class when the professor assigned the two of you to be partners. At first you hated the idea of being paired with a Gryffindor, they had been nothing but mean to you in the three years you had been at Hogwarts, but as Remus gave you a shy smile and offered you his hand you knew that he was different. The two of you became close within that class and before long the two of you were hanging out outside of the classroom, and before long you were hanging out with him and the Marauders more than you were hanging around your fellow housemates.
You were brought out of your thoughts as the two of you reached the familiar portrait that led to the kitchen. You stayed silent as the two of you went into the kitchen, patiently waiting as Remus talked to the house elves and before long they handed him a bowl and the two of you thanked them before heading back into the halls.
“I know you said she liked tuna, so I thought maybe she would smell it and come to us.” He said in a calm but almost rushed tone, and you couldn’t help but smile as you looked down at your hands. He followed your eyes before blushing and pulling his hand away from yours. “Sorry I didn’t realize I was still holding your hand.” “It’s okay.” You said, frowning at the loss of warmth but quickly turning your attention back to looking for Hera. She was the reason you were out here, not to spend time with Remus, though you couldn’t deny that was the bright side of the situation.
After the hand incident Remus stayed quiet and walked with about a foot of space between the two of you, something that you wish didn’t bother you as much as it did. The two of you kept walking around for about an hour, Remus sending you worried glances as you both started to realize that maybe you weren’t going to find her.
“I think it’s time to call it a night.” You said in a quiet voice as you looked down at the ground, trying to keep yourself from crying again.
“I can stay up with you and find her, it’s really no problem.” Remus said as he looked over at you, but you knew he was exhausted. It was two days after the full moon and if the dark circles around his eyes weren’t enough proof that he needed rest the new scars that littered his face were.
“I mean it in the nicest way possible, but you look exhausted Remus, you need to rest. I can look for her tomorrow while everyone is gone.” You said in a soft tone before letting out a sigh and looking back down at the ground. “I didn’t really feel like going to Hogsmeade anyway.”
“Oh.” He said a bit disappointed, causing you to shake your head as you realized what you said. “I didn’t mean it that way.” You said as you thought about how he wanted to go to the new bookstore with you and had asked you weeks ago. “I want to go with you, but I can’t, I have to find her.” “It’s okay, I know how much she means to you.” He said with a shrug trying to play it off as no big deal before turning and walking down the hall. “Come on, I’ll walk you back to your common room.”
You stayed silent the whole walk back, your worry from not finding Hera along with your worry over hurting Remus’s feelings was keeping you in your head. It wasn’t a date, but it was the first time that either of you had asked the other to go to Hogsmeade, all of the times before it just happened to work out and the two of you spend the day together. You had to keep from letting out a sigh as you chose it was better to think about Remus than Hera, you didn’t want to cry again in front of Remus.
“Here we are.” Remus said, pulling you out of your thoughts as the two of you came to a stop in front of the common room door.
“Thank you for helping me try to find her.” You said as you pulled him into a hug, holding onto him for just a moment longer than you usually would have before pulling away. “I’ll see you when you get back from Hogsmeade.” “Yeah, of course.” He said with a small smile before telling you goodnight and walking out of the dungeon. But instead of going back to the common room, he continued walking around to look for Hera. Remus didn’t want to worry you anymore than you already were, but he knew if Hera got outside and into the forest that there was a chance you would never see her again, and he didn’t know if he could handle seeing you cry again.
Remus had never really thought too much about you in his first two years at school, Sirius had mentioned you a few times since you were a Pureblood and his family knew yours but other than that you never crossed his mind. But then the first full moon of third year while he was leaving the castle he seen you comforting a muggle born first year who was having a hard time in Slytherin. He had thought you were like the other Pureblood Slytherins but when he seen you hugging the girl as she was crying he felt bad for assuming you were like them. He watched you from a distance after that, wanting to introduce himself but never having the courage to until when you were paired together in charms class.
A friendship had instantly formed between the two of you and then with the rest of the Marauders, but you were always closest with Remus. He had thought you two were the closest because you were friends first, but then fifth year you went on a date with a boy from Raven Claw and he instantly realized he had feelings for you. Of course, it was just one date and then you claimed he wasn’t your type, all of the Marauders telling Remus that the real reason was because you liked him, but he never believed them. He had finally built up the courage to ask you to Hogsmeade, instead of just assuming you would come because the boys had mentioned it, and while it wasn’t a date he couldn’t help but to compare it to one. He knew why you had to cancel, he understood how important Hera was to you and he knew how upset you were, so that was why he was walking around the halls looking for her.
Remus had walked through the whole castle, using the map to make sure he checked every room. And he was about to give up when he seen a door suddenly appear ahead of him, causing him to sigh to himself as he realized what it was. As he opened the door to the room of requirement he heard a meow and looked down to see Hera looking up at him, and with a smile he picked her up and started walking to the Gryffindor common room.
--
You woke up early the next morning, heading to the Great Hall to get breakfast and figure out where you would start looking for Hera. You were exhausted from last night, you thought if you went back to your dorm you would be able to sleep but instead you just laid there worrying about Hera, and while you wanted to go look for her again you knew it wasn’t worth getting in trouble over since you wouldn’t have Remus with you anymore. As you walked into the Great Hall your eyes instantly went to the only other person in there who happened to be sitting at the Gryffindor table holding a familiar black cat. A smile instantly came to your face as you rushed over to the table, Remus giving you a shy smile as he handed her to you and you pulled her into your chest.
“You stayed up and found her?” You asked as you looked away from Hera and back to him, he was still sitting on the bench, a blush slowly covering his face as he seen how relieved and happy you looked. As he nodded and nervously rubbed the back of his neck you couldn’t stop yourself before you leaned forward and kissed him. When you pulled away you seen the shock on his face, but you also watched as his smile grew. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” He said as his face turned a darker shade of red, matching the Gryffindor sweater he was wearing.
“Moony I see you’re going for the enemy now.” Sirius said from behind you and as you turned you seen him standing with James and Peter, all of them wearing a smirk on their faces.
“I always thought it would be Pads to go for a Slytherin.” James said with a small laugh before him and Peter handed money over to Sirius. You just let out a laugh as you realized they had made bets on you and Remus.
“Bloody hell do any of you blokes have anything better to do than bet on my life?” He asked with a laugh as he stood up, cautiously putting his arm over your shoulder to test the waters and when you moved closer into his side you looked up to see his smile grow.
“About bloody time is all I have to say.” Sirius said as he sent the two of you a wink before putting the money in the pocket of his jeans.

The Moon and the Sun (Zuko x Reader) Part 10
Here is part 10!! As always I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day! Also I am editing a Remus Lupin x reader one shot at the moment and I am planning to post that either tomorrow or sometime this weekend so if you want to be added to the taglist just let me know:)
Part 1 Part 9
Masterlist
“If your visits continue I might start to think that you actually enjoy my company.” You said to Azula in a sarcastic tone as you heard the wall open, not even bothering to look up at her. “It’s not the Princess.” The Dai Lee agents said, and you turned around to see three of them standing at the entrance. “We have been given orders to take you to the Fire Nation.” “And if I don’t want to go?” You asked as you stood up from the ground. You truly did not want to go to the Fire Nation, you knew you would just be thrown into a prison there, but you couldn’t deny you were ready to leave. You had quickly realized you were in the Crystal Catacombs, something you remembered Iroh talking about, and while they were beautiful you had been trapped for what felt like weeks.
“We have been instructed to get you there by any means necessary.” One of the men said and you just let out a sigh and as you seen the defensive stances they were standing in you just put your hands up in surrender.
“I don’t have any water, not going to put up a fight. I’m defenseless.” You said as you kept your hands up in the air but one of them just let out a scoff.
“We are under orders to restrain you, in case you forgot about what happened last time.” One of the guards said and you just nodded as you remembered what he was talking about. The last time they had come to bring you food you hid beside where the door was and were able to take out the two guards that usually brought you food before they even stepped through the entrance. Unfortunately for you though, there were two more guards in the tunnel and since you had used up the rest of you water for healing it didn’t take long for them to restrain you.
As you were walking you couldn’t help but notice how on edge the guards were, it was almost as if they were rushing to get you out before something happened. Aang must be here. Almost as soon as the thought passed through your head you felt the grown shake slightly, before hearing a familiar yell. All of the guards had stopped walking and you took the chance to bring the water from the ground up with your foot before kicking it into the guards, knocking both of them to the ground before freezing them to the floor.
“Guess you were right, I’m not defenseless.” You mumbled to yourself as you used some of the water to break the restraints of your hand.
You took off running to where you heard the yelling and before long you entered a large opening that held what looked to the buildings and a stream of water. It didn’t take long before your attention was drawn towards Azula and Katara who were fighting, and you immediately started to run towards them. But almost as soon as you started to run you were sent backwards into crystals as you let out a grunt, shoving the person off of you and getting to your feet, ready to fight whoever it was.
“Y/n?” Zuko said as you were met with his golden eyes, staring at you in shock as he lowered his hands, yours quickly following. The two of you just stood there looking at each other in shock, and you couldn’t help but notice how his eyes went to the scar that was now across your face. You opened your mouth to respond but your attention was drawn to Azula, who let out a scream. You watched as Katara grabbed her arm in water before grabbing her leg, Azula let out a frustrated scream right before Zuko suddenly stepped in front of you and sent a line of fire in between the two of them, causing all of the water to fall to the ground.
“You’re fighting with her?” You asked in shock as you looked at him, almost feeling betrayed because you thought he was staring a new life here and you were worried about him because of what Azula had told you. You should have known he was part of Azula’s plan the entire time.
“She said that you would join if I asked you, she can give us our life back, we can go back as heroes.” He said as he reached his hand out towards you, and when you didn’t make a move to take his hand an almost pleading expression came to his face. “Y/n, please.”
“No.” You said, and you watched as the pleading and hopeful look was replaced with one you had only seen directed towards Aang. He lifted his hands up, sending a blast of fire towards your chest and you were quick to bring water up but the force was enough to send you backwards. As soon as you hit the ground Zuko took off towards Katara as Azula went for Aang.
You let out a groan as you sat up, hearing Katara yell something to Zuko. Azula was quick to send Aang flying through the air before turning her attention towards Katara, who was busy blocking fire from Zuko and didn’t see Azula making her way over. You quickly stood up and as you seen Azula raise her hands you sent a wave of water at her. She was quick to jump down from the crystals, landing beside Zuko right as you came to stand beside Katara.
“You could join us you know.” Azula said as she looked over at you, causing everyone to turn their attention towards you as you brought water from the ground back to your hands. “The Fire Nation is your home.” “The Fire Nation was never my home.” You said, and you couldn’t help but notice the hurt expression that passed Zuko’s face, causing you to focus all of your attention on Azula, but you realized that was a mistake because she had caught your glance towards Zuko.
“But Zuzu was, and now you’re betraying him for the one person who could restore his honor, how ironic.” Azula said with a cold laugh, causing you to narrow your eyes at her. While both of their attention was drawn to you, Katara sent water towards the two of them, causing them to separate. As soon as Azula caught her balance she kicked fire at you as you dodged it and looked over at Katara, who gave you a small nod before going after Zuko. As you looked over at Azula you seen that she had a smirk on her face, small blue flames dancing on her finger tips. “You really have broken poor Zuzu’s heart, he really does have a soft spot for you. But once you’re out of the way, that’s a weakness he won’t have to worry about anymore.” “When I’m out of the way?” You asked but instead of responding she kicked her leg forward, sending a line of fire down that you were barely able to dodge. If her actions weren’t enough to make you realize what she meant, the look on her face was as she continued to send fire your way as you brought up wall after wall of water to shield yourself.
While you truly didn’t believe she had it in her to kill you, you also knew that she would do anything to keep her father’s favor. After a few moments of fighting her you knew that it was pointless, just like Zuko you knew each other’s fighting style too well. You thought that neither of you would get the upper hand until you heard Katara let out a grunt, and as you looked over you watched her back hit a crystal before she fell to the ground. That small mistake of looking away was all it took for Azula to get the upper hand, and as you looked back over at her you saw a small spark in her hands.
You heard the lightening before you seen it truly form, and you brought water up as fast as you could, trying to make a wall of ice to block it but it was no use. The lightening hit the small piece of ice you had formed before it touched the water and was sent through your hands and to the rest of your body.
Zuko froze as he heard your scream, the sound sending chills through his whole body as he watched in horror as you fell to the ground, twitching as the electricity ran its course through your body. As he seen the broken ice on the ground he knew that you had avoided what would have been a fatal blow, but as he looked at you laying on the ground no longer moving he felt his heart drop. He couldn’t help as his feet involuntarily started to move towards you, only stopping once Azula’s arm was placed in front of his chest, causing him to look up at her with pleading eyes.
“Remember where your loyalty lies.” She said in a cold tone, her eyes showing no sympathy for you at all. He slowly looked back to you and he knew that Azula was right, you were the enemy, but he felt a pull in his heart as he seen you on the ground.
“Get away from them!” Aang yelled, causing both Azula and Zuko to look over at him. You tried to get up as you seen Aang being knocked to the ground, Dai Lee agents dropping down from the roof, but as soon as you tried to get up you fell back down as you let out a small scream. You let out a few whimpers as black spots started to blur your vision. You turned your head to see Katara getting to her feet and bringing water towards her and bending it into an octopus form as she tried to fight all of the Dai Lee agents that were now around her. You took in a deep breath before lifting yourself up off of the ground with your arms, stopping for a moment while the pain ran through your body.
After another moment you stood up, black spots clouding your vision but you could see Aang now in the air, in the Avatar state. You were about to turn around to help Katara but as you looked to see Zuko standing in front of Aang you felt a pain in your chest. You were about to yell for Zuko to get out of the way but before you could even open your mouth you heard the same sound that had hit you earlier and your eyes were drawn up to Azula who was no standing behind Aang. You let out a gasp as you watched Aang get hit with lightening, before he was sent to the ground. You brought your hands up, trying to send a wave of water towards him but as you moved your arms nothing happened, and you felt your whole body go cold.
A wave of water sudden came beside you and you looked to see Katara catch Aang before coming back over to where you were, falling to the ground with Aang in her arms right beside you. You looked down at her, silently panicking as you tried to think of how you were going to get out of this, but you didn’t have much time to think before your attention was drawn towards Azula and Zuko who were now walking over.
“What is it going to take to get rid of you?” Azula said with a sigh as she looked at you, almost annoyed but you knew that deep down part of her was relieved that she hadn’t killed you.
“Zuko, please.” You pleaded at you looked over at him but as you looked in his eyes you knew he was gone, Azula had gotten to him for the last time. You just took a deep breath as you tried to bring water up to your hands but instead of water all you felt was pain in your body, causing you to fall to your knees as you were reminding exactly where the lightening had gone through your body.
“Well I didn’t get rid of you, but I may have gotten rid of your bending.” Azula said, drawing your attention up towards her to see a smirk on her face, but as you glanced at Zuko his face held something else, it was almost sympathetic. You looked at Katara, tears filling your eyes as you seen the tears already running down her face but as you turned back to face Azula and Zuko you seen a line of fire stop them from walking any further.
“You got to get out of here!” Iroh yelled as he landed in front of you. “I’ll hold them off as long as I can.” “Iroh you can’t.” You said as you stepped towards him, but he just shook his head as he looked at you.
“To fulfil your destiny, you have to escape.” Iroh said to you and the tears started to escape your eyes as you looked at him. You knew that he did not have a chance against Azula, Zuko, and the Dai Lee agents but you also knew that there was no other way. “Go.”
“Y/n!” Katara yelled and you turned to see that she was by the waterfall and you quickly made your way over to her. “Hold on to me.”
The two of you were able to make it out of the catacombs and to Appa where you found Sokka, Toph, and the Earth King.
“What happened?” He asked as he looked at you, worry all over his face.
“She took him and my bending.” You barely got out as out as you felt your whole body shake with a sob, the movement causing you to practically collapse in Sokka’s arms as pain started to make its way through your body once again. He was quick to catch you and pull you close to his chest as you let out cries that were borderline screams, they were a contrast to the silent cries that Katara let out while she frantically put the spirit water onto Aang’s back.

The Moon and the Sun (Zuko x Reader) part 9
I’m back!! I am so sorry that it has taken so long to update this story, school started and I just got completely wrapped up in that and then had the worst writers block but I am starting to get back into things. I have also recently become OBSESSED with Harry Potter and have a few one shot ideas (and will gladly take requests) but my priority right now is this story and I will be trying to post at least once a week again. But here is the new chapter, and I hope you all enjoy and that it was worth the wait!!
Part 1 Part 8
Masterlist
It was a simple plan, follow Jet to where they were keeping Appa. That was all you had to do but you shouldn’t have been surprised that things didn’t go as planned, for you at least. You were walking at the back of the group, and as they went around the corner you were spotted by a Dai Lee agent. You of course told everyone to go as you ran in the opposite direction, causing the Dai Lee agent to follow you and not notice the others, who you know weren’t happy about you getting split up from the look on Sokka’s face as you ran away, but you knew it was for the best. It didn’t take long for you to lose the Dai Lee agent, but you quickly realized that you had no idea where you were or which way to go to get back to the group.
Even though you were lost, you had to admit that the silence was something you found almost endearing. Silence was one of the things you missed about traveling with Zuko, you could always go out on the deck of the ship and just look out at the endless blue of water and sky. You loved your new friends, but they overwhelmed you at times and there was hardly ever a moment to just catch your breath since you were constantly on the move.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t hear the footsteps walking towards you, and as you rounded the corner you ran into someone and were sent to the ground. You didn’t look to see who it was before you took all of the water from the floor of the tunnels and used it to hit the person right in the chest, sending them to the ground in front of where you were but before you could get up you felt something connect with your hands and you looked to see it was rocks. You quickly looked up to see that three Dai lee agents were standing in front of you, and one on the ground from where you hit him with water.
“You’re with the Avatar.” One of the Dai Lee agents said as they looked at you, and you felt your heart drop as you realized they would use you against Aang just like they were doing with Appa if they captured you. You were quick to use your feet to bring the water at the group, sending them all to the ground as you scrambled to your feet, and by the time you had broken the rocks around your hands, all of the men were back on their feet.
“I couldn’t just stay with the others.” You mumbled to yourself as you froze the floor under them before turning and running in the other direction, hearing the soldiers yell as they tried to get across the ice. You kept running, ignoring the yelling behind you as you turned a corner that led to a hallway with a dead end. You turned around, planning to go in the other direction but as you turned you were hit in the chest by one of the rock fists. The sudden impact knocked the breath out of you, you were sent backwards and when you hit the ground everything went black.
--
“You and I would have made such an amazing team, not as good as you and Zuzu but we would have been powerful together. If only the two of you wouldn’t have ruined it.” You heard a cold voice say as you slowly started to become aware of the pain in the back of your head. You slowly opened your eyes before letting out a groan and putting your hands over your face, the light causing a sharp pain to go through your head. “Ah you’re awake, I knew that my voice would bring you back.”
You slowly pulled your hands away from your eyes and as you looked up you seen Azula standing with a smirk on her face. You looked at her with your eyebrows knitted before looking around, trying to figure out where you were but you realized that you were still in what looked like the Dai Lee’s headquarters.
“What are you doing here?” You asked as you realized that if you were still at the Dai Lee headquarters that meant that Azula was in Ba Sing Se. You quickly got up from the ground, trying to ignore the pounding in your head as the room started to spin.
“Not happy to see me?” Azula asked as she looked at your attempt of a defensive stance. You just narrowed your eyes as you finally were able to look at her, and when you did you noticed that she was in a Kyoshi warrior armor.
“Where did you get that?” You asked through gritted teeth, her smirk only growing at your reaction.
“Mai, Ty Lee, and I ran into some of your friends. Don’t worry they’re all okay, just in prison. But their little dresses were able to get us into Ba Sing Se and then I met with the Dai Lee and we’ve all been great friends since.” She said in a pride filled voice, one that made your skin crawl.
You knew that right now you wouldn’t be able to beat her in a fight, but you also knew that since you were injured she wouldn’t expect anything. So, while she was focused on her story you took your chance and lunged at her, causing her to let out a small scream as the two of you went to the ground. You were quick to pin her arms down with your knees and use the rest of your weight to hold down her torso. The shock on her face was quickly replaced with anger as she struggled against you but eventually let out a sigh and glared at you.
“What are you going to do? Hold me down until your friends come? Well I hate to tell you, but they aren’t going to make it.” She said, and your heart dropped at her words, and you pressed down harder against her arms as you narrowed your eyes.
“Why are you here Azula?” You asked in a cold tone, one that shocked her, but she didn’t let it show as she let out another cold laugh.
“I’m here to take the Earth Kingdom, claim it in the name of the Fire Nation.” She said in a calm voice, the pride and arrogance practically dripping from her lips as she looked up at you with that same smirk that she had been wearing since you were kids.
“You’re not going to.” You said, trying to sound sure of it but even you didn’t believe it. You knew that if she had all of the Dai Lee agents with her along with Mai and Ty Lee, and possibly other fire nation soldiers along with the element of surprise that the Earth Kingdom didn’t stand a chance.
“I already have.” She stated and before you had the chance to say anything back you heard the door open and looked to see Mai and Ty Lee walk in, both of them letting out a gasp as they seen you pinning Azula down.
“I really didn’t think you had it in you.” Mai said in a flat tone, and you knew that deep down she enjoyed seeing Azula being bested.
“You could join us you know.” Ty Lee pleaded, and as you moved your eyes away from Mai to her you could see the desperation in her eyes. “You could help us.”
“She wouldn’t even betray her new friends for Zuzu, don’t think that she would for us.” Azula said and you watched Ty Lee’s face drop, realization setting in. They knew that they weren’t going to change your mind, that things would never be the same as they were when you were kids, but it didn’t make it hurt any less. And you would be lying if you said it didn’t hurt you as well, because deep down you longed to be on the same side as your friends.
“I’m sorry.” You mumbled as you looked away from Ty Lee and over to Mai, and right as you made eye contact her gaze hardened.
“Me too.” Mai said as she started to throw knifes your way, you were able to dodge the first one but the second one caught your arm and you were forced to move off of Azula to dodge the third one.
As you stood back up the room spun a little bit from your head still being tender, and the spinning was enough to make you miss the fourth knife coming your way until it was right in front of you. You tried to dodge it but you stumbled and it slid across the side of your face, causing Ty Lee to let out a gasp. Before you had any time to react Azula swept your feet out from under you, causing you to land on your back as you let out a groan.  “Truly you should have thought all of that through just a little more.” Azula said as she stood up and rubbed her arms where your knees were just moments ago. You tried to get up but before you could you felt something pin your wrist to the ground and as you looked up you seen Dai Lee agents entering the room. You tried to pull your hands out of the rock fists, but it was no use, and as you looked over at Azula you seen a pity filled look before she put her stoic expression back on. “You know where to take her.”
“Yes princess.” The man said as you were pulled up from the ground, and they started dragging you towards a door.
“I’m really sorry it has to be this way, but I assure you that you won’t be alone for very long.” She said, and you watched as the smirk returned to her face. “You and Zuzu can have some quality time, if he doesn’t put up too much of a fight.” “No.” You said as you realized she knew that him and Iroh were here. You started to move around, trying to get loose from the agents grip on your arms but it was no use. “Azula, you better not hurt him!” “Well I can’t make any promises, he is traitor to the Fire Nation after all.” She said as her smirk grew, and you tried to fight harder against the guards.
“Azula!” You yelled as they continued to drag you away, you yelled as many threats as you could at her, but you knew they were all pointless. She was going to do whatever she wanted to do and there was nothing that you could do about it.
You felt numb as you were left alone in a chamber full of crystals, and it took everything in you to sit up and lean against one of the crystals. You were able to use the rest of the water in your pouch to heal the cut on your arm and face the best you could but with the small amount of water you knew that there would still be a scar.
“I should have just stayed with them.” You mumbled to yourself as you laid your head back against the crystals and closed your eyes, letting the exhaustion take over.
“Zuko what happened to your eye?” You asked as you rushed over to him, putting your hand on the side of his face as you looked at him. His eye was badly bruised, and as you looked closer at him you realized that he had a cut across his nose as well. “Who did this?” “I don’t want to talk about it.” He grumbled as he pushed you away, walking past you and down the hallway. “Well I want you to.” You said as you walked behind him, trying to catch up with him. “I want to know who did this to you.” “It isn’t any of your business!” Zuko yelled as he turned around and looked at you, his hand going up and pointing at you, causing you to flinch. His eyes got wide as he seen you flinch and he immediately brought his hands to his side as he looked at you with sad eyes. “I’m sorry, I just don’t want to talk about it.” “Okay.” You said and before you could say anything else he turned and walked away from you. You let out a sigh before walking towards the turtle duck pond, it was one of the only places in the castle that you truly felt like you belonged. Everywhere else felt so hot and dry but by the pond you could felt at home, you could feel the water moving around the pond and feel the water within the plants.
You sat down and looked down at the turtle ducks as they swam around, bringing a small smile to your face before the thought of Zuko raising his hand and yelling at you made it disappear.
“Why so sad y/n? Is Zuzu mad about being bested and not talking to you?” She asked in a cocky tone as she walked up behind you, and you turned to see her signature smirk on her face, but as she seen the look on your face is softened a little bit. “Don’t tell me he took his anger out on you.” “It was my fault I shouldn’t have pushed him.” You said before raising your eyebrows at her comment. “What do you mean bested?” “We spared today, and I beat him.” She said in a proud tone, but her smirk fell as you looked at her, causing her to let out a scoff. “Don’t be mad that I’m better than your boyfriend.” “He isn’t my boyfriend.” You said to her before looking back at the water. “I just don’t understand why you have to take things so far, you didn’t have to hurt him.” “I didn’t have to, but I wanted to.” She said as she sat down beside you, and you just shook your head as you kept your eyes on the water.
“He’s your brother, you shouldn’t want to hurt him.” You said as you let out a sigh and looked over at her. “Your mother always wanted the two of you to get along, and I do too because it’s insufferable when the two of you are fighting, especially when you try to use me against one another.” “Well my mother isn’t here so it doesn’t really matter what she wants, does it?” She asked in a cold tone as she turned away from you, looking at the turtle ducks. “And I don’t bother using you against Zuko, it’s no use because you always chose him over me.” “That isn’t true Azula, and you know it.” You said to her, but she just let out a scoff.
“It’s okay, I know the truth.” She said in the same cold tone as before, but her words were less bitter and more sorrowful than before. “You and Zuzu will always be the perfect team, me never having your true loyalty.”

Only Forever (Draco Malfoy x Reader)
Request: Draco Malfoy + a wedding oneshot
Author’s note: My requests are open. Inspired in part by the wedding episode of Friends.
Tumblr media
Masterlist
If someone had told you when you had first met Draco that twelve years later he would be the person you married, you would’ve laughed in their face. Honestly, if someone had told you the same thing only five years ago, you may not have believed them either. Yet, here you were only a few days away from your wedding day, more in love than you have ever felt.
“I just can’t believe that we’ve made it this far,” you smiled at Draco as you laid next to him in bed.
“You don’t have to sound so surprised about it, (Y/N),” he stopped what he was doing to turn at you, eyebrows slightly raised.
