Spoilers for Loki Episode 6
For this week’s episode of Loki and the season finale there are entirely too many things to talk about in one post. From a certain kiss to the man really behind the curtain at the end of time. But for now I will talk about the thing that we all saw coming and what actually happen is the resurgence of the multiverse. In Far From Home they touched on the topic, although that was never confirmed due to Mysterio just being a disgruntled former Stark employee, but with Sylvie killing the man behind the TVA we finally see all the branches breaking away from the main “sacred timeline” going beyond the point of repair.  Obviously a breakthrough such as this is preparing the universe for films such as the upcoming Doctor Strange movie, and the appropriate title ‘The Multiverse of Madness’ and possibly in the future Spider-Man film as well. The Marvel fandom is no stranger to the multiverse as a whole; however with this now being confirmed in the MCU’s world this could open up a whole bunch of possibilities. What do you think the multiverse could mean for previously deceased characters and even introducing new ones and storylines?

Loki Episode 5
In episode five of Loki we were learned a quite a bit about the world the TVA revolves around. The first, when variants and their worlds are pruned and reset the matter cannot be destroyed instead everything is sent to a void at the end of time; at least according to those at the TVA. Upon our Loki arriving at the void we meet several variants of himself, dozens in fact. Although we do focus on a small handful it seems to be strange that there are so many Lokis that were pruned and sent to die. Whether it be that there can only really be one of each individual on the “sacred timeline” one of the variants did bring up a good point. Whenever one tries to better themselves, the TVA shows up to stop them. Essentially eliminating whatever free will the Loki tries to have. What seems to be a consistent theme for Loki and in the show is being able to accept who one is, and it is never too late to change paths. At the moment the TVA is significantly hindering anyone’s ability to do this; however as we’ve seen at the very end of the episode Sylvie and Loki were able to enchant the guard dog blocking the path to those truly behind it all. Maybe one day soon Loki or anyone else will get the chance to pick a path for themselves.

Loki Episode 4. Spoiler Warning
After watching episode four of Loki, there are so many things that are worth discussing. From what happens to Mobius and Loki to the reason Sylvie is a variant to begin with. However in this post we will be discussing the Time Keepers themselves. In the past three episodes of the show the Time Keepers have been known to be almost greater than gods, using their power to dictate the flow of the sacred timeline and untangle the multiverse in order to preserve any sort of peace. Although as the show has progressed the information we know about these individuals as well as their creation, the TVA seems to have many faults and lack of explanation. The TVA agents are simply variants; not created by the Time Keepers like we were originally told. From that fact alone, we can already question who and what the Time Keepers actually are. We do get a glimpse of the trio before Loki is brought there with his other self, Sylvie. But it is quickly discovered these so called gods are nothing but androids, puppets even. But that leaves the question, who is really pulling the strings at the TVA. Or was it all an illusion to hide what’s actually going on. Maybe we’ll finally get an appearance from Mephisto?

A scene change?
As many of you have already heard by now, Marvel has updated the end credits scene at the end of WandaVision. Overall not much has changed, we still see Wanda on her own after freeing the town she had held captive and in her cabin learning from the book of the damned. No big deal right? Probably. The one change that can be noted is in the very beginning of the scene there is a very subtle figure moving through the trees down towards her cabin. Was this intentional? Does it matter? I think so. Many people are theorizing this figure moving is Doctor Strange, which would make complete sense given the upcoming film they have together featuring the multiverse. While I do think it is very likely that figure if anything is Doctor Strange but given all the clout in Loki around the TVA perhaps it has something to do with them. Wanda hasn’t exactly been subtle when it came to her chaos magic, maybe it’s possible the TVA might have something to say about it; if they’re still around by the end of Loki that is.

Loki Episode 3, Spoilers
Last week we heard one of the TVA agents say “It’s all real, I want to go home.” While I had my own theory and another brought up a very good point about the possibility of them being dead. This week we got a more solid answer for who the agents of the TVA are. The other variant Loki, now being called Sylvie was able to confirm that in order to manipulate that one TVA agent she had to pull a memory from before she worked for the TVA. The agents are all variants. It seems pretty clear once these variants were taken from their timelines they had their memories suppressed and are made to believe the TVA is the only thing that has ever existed in their life. But that brings up the question, why these individuals, and what did they do to ear or be punished by working for the TVA. Maybe next week we’ll get a better glimpse at the Time Keepers themselves and a piece of the real origins of the TVA.

It’s all real, I want to go home.
In episode two of Loki, we’re still chasing after this other variant of Loki. Along the way this variant kidnaps one of the TVA agents and we find her at the next site of another hiding spot right before another apocalypse. One of the things you can’t ignore is when she says “it’s all real” and “I want to go home”. What did this other Loki show her? Is she just traumatized or is there something more to the TVA than we already realize. From what we already know the TVA agents kind of just exist to simply be agents for the TVA. What if they aren’t just simply there to be servants to the sacred timeline. What if they’re taken from other points in time or better yet the multiverse that supposedly doesn’t exist and are made to believe they only exist to serve the sacred timeline. Instead of trauma what if this variant Loki showed them the truth behind their institution.

Variant Loki or the Enchantress? ......Or Both?

An old topic but a quick discussion on Steve’s decision to stay in the past after returning the stones in Avengers Endgame. It’s pretty obvious at least in the online community this was considered a questionable decision for the character to end his story. Aside from the real life issue of needing to write the character out of the franchise there certainly could have been better choices than the route the writers inevitably took.  Looking back on Steve Rogers entire arc as a whole from his first film and Infinity War, it seemed evident his story was centered on moving on from the past he lost and onto having a future in his new present. More specifically, he had found the friend he had lost and sacrificed so much to save throughout his story that it seems almost like an insult to his friend and his own story to simply have him return to the past to be with a woman that he had apparently moved on from a film or two ago.  Even looking past the pairings this fandom has for Steve and Bucky, one of the biggest plots of Steve’s character in the present his helping his best friend and up until Endgame;Steve had rarely mentioned Peggy. Did he love her? Possibly; but that is another topic to touch on for another day. When you come down to it, it doesn’t make sense for Steve to leave his friends and his new found family as an ending to his story.

Varient Loki
I understand the TVA has a “sacred timeline” they need to abide by in order to keep things in balance, but how does this version of Loki count as a variant while so many things that happened because of what this variant actually did that are considered correct. Steve and Tony ended up going back to the 70′s to retrieve the space stone as well as more Pym Particles, that happened because this Loki took the stone; yet nothing happened to Stark and Steve because of it? Or more relating to Steve, him returning to the past to be with Peggy in endgame. As much as the directors of the film say he was supposed to be Peggy’s husband, how do you explain Sharon’s behavior towards him? The way the TVA uses the word variant doesn’t seem very consistent to me.
