A Little Dream Pillow

🌜Dream pillows are wonderful for creating a restful, magical sleep. Filled with carefully selected herbs, dream pillows can be made for; pure relaxation, getting rid of nightmares, encouraging dreams, etc.

⭐Here is how to make a dream pillow for relaxation, deep sleep and vivid dreams.

🌠2 pieces of either blue or purple fabric cut in the shape of a moon. (Feel free to make it any size; small, medium, or large.)

🌠A needle and either a blue or purple thread.

A herb blend of:

🌠Chamomile~ Soothing tension and relaxation.

🌠Lavender~ Relaxation and peaceful sleep.

🌠Mugwort~ Prophetic dreams and psychic power

🌠Cedar~ Purification, cleansing, and protection.

Also included is a large amount of flaxseed for a soft pliable pillow.

1. Cleanse and protect your space.

2. Using the reversed side of the cloth, sew the edges together but leave a large space open to flip your moon inside out. (This helps to keep the thread work inside the pillow than having it show on the outside.)

3. With that done, fill the pillow with the herbs and flaxseed.

4. Close and sew the open hole. Before the final stitch say,

“Moon in hand, I say this spell.

For restful sleep and vivid dreams.

With herbs and fabric held by a seam.

May this pillow, aid me well.”

Acorns

In folklore, carrying an Acorn will bring forth a long and healthy life. As well as luck, protection and ward off illness.

Here are some other ways you can use acorns!

In Autumn, pick up the very first acorn you find and carry it through fall and winter. It will protect you from negativity and draw prosperity and good luck to you all through the dark months. Once spring arrives, return the acorn to nature as a ‘thank you’ for assisting you.

Placing acorns on a windowsill is said to keep your home safe.

An acorn can be used as an amulet for keeping a youthful appearance.

A Charm for Inner Strength. Empower an acorn with the following chant and carry it on your person during difficult times:

"Little Seed with cap so fine, 

Grant your strength and make it mine. 

Make me as sturdy as your tree. 

As I will, so mote it be."

Pine Tree

Pine is valued for its associations with fertility, purification, and immortality. It is also associated with the planet Mars, and the elements of Earth and Air.

🌲 Pine is usually burned during Yule and other winter rites, and its branches are used to sweep the forest floor in preparation for winter rituals.

🌲 A cross of pine branches placed before an unused fireplace is done to keep evil from entering.

🌲 Pine branches are hung over sick beds as a preventative measure and to help the healing process.

🌲 Crushed and dried pine needles are mixed with juniper and cedar and burned to purify and scent the home.

🌲 Pine resin can be gathered right from the tree and burned as incense to clear negative energies. The smoke also repels evil and sends the negative force back to its source.

🌲 Pine Cones are carried as fertility charms and pine nuts are eaten for the same effect.

🌲 A Pine Cone is gathered on midsummer’s day and one seed a day is eaten to become immune to the sun’s heat.

🌲 A pine bath was made to help stimulate the skin, strengthen blood vessels, and to help with kidney and bladder diseases. You would gather small branches, sprigs, and cones, and cut them in pieces. Simmer for half an hour in fresh water. The decoction is strained and added to a warm bath. Afterwards you would follow it up with a quick, cold shower.

🌲 It is an old custom to place fresh pine boughs on a coffin during funeral rites and at burials. Pine being a symbol of immortality is seen as a fitting salute to the departed.

If you plan to cut pine branches or use any part of the pine tree, make sure to tell the tree what you are about to do and why. Be sure to leave a gift as thanks such as coins, tobacco, crystals, pour a drink, etc.
