im gonna go ahead and wager that while obviously mcyt has a problem with streamers being outed as racists, abusers, groomers and more, if you say other communities are somehow inherently better and not at risk of these people also being platformed you're naïve- the reason mcyt seems so populated by these people is because it gets outed and called out because these people are effectively selling their persona and personality. in the majority of other fandom communities people can go a long time with absolutely zero idea of the type of they're supporting, sometimes even without knowing their names, while the nature of mcyt makes this inescapable.

obviously there are some issues with the way mcyt is run that allow this (the fact it's white male-led which allows misogyny and racism to go unchecked, or the nature of it allowing certain power dynamics (eg. popular streamers getting away with more due to massive influences as well as their hold over younger or dedicated fans)- both of these being things that should be challenged and criticised- but trying to compare it to other fandoms as irreparably fucked, with very few exceptions (eg. rpf which i don't believe anyone is trying to convince people to move towards en masse lmao) it's apples and oranges
