☆ i basically spent lots of time with my family. revisiting old memories by reuniting with a relative. making new ones by taking nice pictures of each other under the afternoon sky. nostalgia & promises blending beautifully tgt when we stopped by the farm we used to go to as kids. the radiant star herself appearing in my tarot reading of the general vibes of our would-be getaway farm:

☆ the thought that its ok to do things bit by bit instead of not doing them at all. i tried singing a few songs i was thinking of my bday cover & even if nothing clicked that much yet its ok!! i havent touched my songs of the day playlist since feb but i added new ones to it today & its ok!!

the world is so beautiful by the way. and it will knock u off your feet time and time again. like an old love u forgot about it will meet you in the middle when everything else is so blurry and doesn’t really make sense and it will bring you to where you thought you would never find your way back. it will show u time and time again there’s beauty there’s joy there’s life in everything and that sometimes losing it is the right way to finding it

first post & its a diary entry. i think i might be breaking some internet safety rules here. sorry dad

i wanted to post somewhere where id see a timestamp bcs what do i have if not the need to document as it happens every thought. feeling. memory memory memory (& u kno the rare accompanying energy to actually... do that). of all the social media i have (& am barely on lol) tumblr seemed like a good idea for some reason. so here i am blessing(?) the new main blog with ye olde thoughts!!

its almost the middle of the year like damn alr a week into may but still i felt compelled to write a lil thing even if i (...again) failed to keep up with daily diary entries after january. weirdly enough the reason was that i had a rly nice midnight shower. warm. gentle. unhurried. the likes of lizzy mcalpine, searows, niki, & phoebe bridgers as bgm

ig i dont get to sit in my pleasant feelings much. & i just want to rmbr a time when i did :)

I went out with 3 of my friends today. I found a place that claimed to have wheelchair accessible walks, and we went off the path, and my wheelchair got stuck a thousand times.

We laughed so hard, and they pushed me (I can’t propel myself very far) and we took photos and we laughed more and we went through mud and fine sand and thistles, and then we ate croissants at a café and when we got back to the car we had ice cream and

I wish I could go back to my child self and show them this day. I wish I could say, One day you’ll be part of things and people will be glad to have you around, and they won’t complain about pushing you up a steep grade or through a bog, and they will want to hear your shitty jokes and when you gasp and say LOOK A BABY BUNNY they will stop to look and it will be exactly as magical as you’re imagining now.

You can find a place where you’re appreciated and loved and supported. You can. I believe it.

dragon age. man. alistair comes in swinging, dude.

he's all wit, all earnestness. he's a warrior and he hasn't had an easy life, but despite some layers of irony, he's incredibly frank with his emotions. that is totally not what i expected from an older game. he grieves freely and he loves profusely. he's a hero in a very typical mode but he also isn't. he's not macho or drawn toward leadership. his strength resides in both staunchness of principle and in an open-mindedness that lets him look upon a stricken world to find good and beauty in it

this is a dude who chose to save that world when he could have just walked away! it's a simple bravery that has been continually renewed in many stories, but it's the sensitivity with which his character is treated that elevates him. there's a brightness to him that stares the isolated, desolate tone of origins in the eye and works with it to make the whole experience that much more nuanced

i've been trying to think of reasons he's so compelling besides "well he's a good guy" and you know what, he is. he's pretty swell
