𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬,
(1) If you have been popping in and finding that our skeletons have not tickled your fancy, we are happy to be announcing that we will be accepting 5 Non-Skeleton Characters. Non-Skeleton Characters will not have a wait period. If we enjoy your character, they will be accepted immediately.
Submitted biographies for non-skeletons must be descriptive enough to give us an idea of your role as if it was an existing skeleton, as well as your unique take on how the character fits into the current rp era. At this time, we are not accepting characters with any royal lineage, British or otherwise.
(In the Application, put down Non-Skeleton and a title of your character instead for the Skeleton line in the form of ‘The (Blank)’.)
𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐧,
(2) Players can now have second characters. Players may pick up a second character after 14 days of activity with the first, as long as you have not been on the last two activity checks. We encourage our players to only take on more characters if they feel that they can handle them and still remain active. If players want more than two characters, please speak with the admins.
(Additional characters must be ethnicity/gender/body diverse from your first character.)

The Bluestocking ( 1 ) | Review April 23

Note
Hi! I absolutely love this RP! I've written up an app for the Bluestocking but I don't know what to put for the family titles. I'm not really married to any rank but I was planning on having her be a bastard raised by her grandparents under a guise of her being their niece. Would a Lord work best for that? Are there any ranks you would like to see in the group?
Hello! We are a bit sparse on Barons, so perhaps her grandfather could be a baron? It would be unlikely for her to have a title as the niece of a Baron (perhaps the daughter of the Baron’s sister?), so they wouldn’t have to lie to give her a title to cover up the truth of her heritage and run the risk of having her impersonate a peer (which was very illegal!)
If you have any more questions, please let me know!

Off to the side behind many of the vendors, strangely isolated, stands a bright royal purple tent. The cries of merrymaking and delight, and even the wind seems to hush into only a quiet murmur. When you enter, you are met with hanging silks, strung up amulets and wreaths of herbs. The smell of incense, notes of lavender and rosewood, waft and fill your senses. Under you, the ice is hidden below layers and layers of brightly coloured persian carpets that seem to sport vivid shades of the rainbow. So thick are the carpets that one cannot even feel the cold through them. You brush past the silks, and the tent opens up. In the centre of the tent lies a cluster of plush sitting pillows and a low table. Lanterns hang from the sides. With hanging candelabras on the side of the tent, the inside is basked in a golden glow. Warmth begins to seep into your stiff, frigid limbs. It is worlds away from the  winter wonderland that you had traveled from.
On one side of the table sits a woman, cross-legged, with a deck of silver and purple cards.
What future awaits you in the cards?
Welcome to La Fortuna Sanctorium (Frost Fair Pop Up!)! Mina via Kezia will be reading tarot card fortunes for muses at the Frost Fair. Fair warning, Mina cannot read cards like Kezia, and is totally just an amateur hobbyist tarot card reader.
Here’s what you have to do for your muse’s fortune to be read:
Submit a post (not an ask!) to @la-fortuna with the following:
A question that your character has (and will ask aloud). (ie. “Yes Mother, stop your pestering. I am asking. Excuse me, Miss Bidari, am I fated to become a spinster?”) Questions are not limited to romance or the Season.
A link that you generate your fortune by drawing cards, here! Make sure to draw and flip your cards before you copy and paste the link. (After you flip the cards, the link sent over will be the custom fortune.)
Make sure to follow Kezia’s blog and wait for your fortune!
Kezia will start a thread with your muse where she reads your fortune. You’re welcome to interact with her afterwards in the thread: probe deeper, ask follow up questions, and react to the mysterious workings of the universe.
Feel free to use this opportunity to move forward any plots, doubts, or secrets for your muses, or to use this for character development, or for something fun and mysterious to use as a thread point with another muse.

Puppet shows may be for children, but they’re still enjoyable by all.- Benjamin and Michael

@stedfastasthou and @thecompanioneffie
Ice or solid land, it matters not to gambling dens and the cardsharps that frequent them. Venturing into one of the dens that has popped up at the fair has resulted in more than can be handled alone!- Henrie and Sebastian
@henrie-latymer and @sebastian-mckenzie
Despite all the assurances of thickness of the ice, there's something unsettling about having the zoo set loose on the river! But what an opportunity to see an elephant up close for the first time! - Kitty and Byron
@lady-ralston and @rvlston
Overindulging in the festive libations? For shame!- Eira and Maggie

The Frost Fair  //  January 18, 1811
Somehow overnight, the Thames has erected a City on Ice. The Frost Fair is a bacchanal with the primary objective to have as much fun (boozy and not) as possible without breaking the ice. Within hours of dawn, the Thames is transformed into a frozen pleasure gardens and thousands pay the entry fee for a slice of the hedonism. Colourful streamer, banners, and flags adorn makeshift tents, stalls made of old oars and wood, and even stalls made from old blankets.
Carriages carry families down the icy river to park steps away from the bustling crowds. From these coaches, ladies and gents jump down in their ice skates, prepared to explore fair by blade. Women walk around with baskets of hot apples covered by a cloth to warm their hands and heads. Donned in warm cloaks and leather boots, you cross the wooden ramp built connecting street to river. You step gingerly onto the ice. It is a wonder that an entire festival take place safely on ice, but the ice is matted down for walking. With the thought of slipping and falling swept from your mind, you turn your eyes to take in the numerous vendors and tents before you.
What will you do at the Frost Fair?
Tumblr media
Miss Fortune
Her reputation precedes her: Kezia Bidari, the famed fortune teller. They say, what she sees in the cards will always come true. Far and wide, common folk, nobles, and even royalty have flocked to her store in London, La Fortuna Sanctorium, in the hopes that she may provide certainty in their futures. Endorsed by the King and Queen many years ago, there is not a more renowned and successful cartomancer, nor female entrepeneur in the Ton. You hear whispers that she is offering readings at the Frost Fair.
Only those with burning questions, haunting unknowns, and desperate hopes will find themselves taking a seat before her, baring their souls and futures to the mysterious woman before them.
What future awaits you in the cards?
(Look forward to a secondary post for instructions on how to get your muse’s fortune read and how to interact with Miss Kezia Bidari!)
Tumblr media
Celebratory Printing Press
Trust the media of London to take any sensational event and capture it in ink and paper. The rare occurrence of a frozen Thames is no exception, and numerous printers have moved their set ups to the river to capitalize on the enthusiasm and excitement. Each is offering their own pressings, from souvenir cards to memorabilia broadsheets. Some can make personalized printings with the purchaser's name, and one enterprising press has even produced a pamphlet with a history of the Frost Fairs!
Food Stalls and Gingerbread Carts
The highlight of the Fair is the roast ox. Cooked for over 24 hours on a fire, fairgoers line up for their share of the succulent and tender delicacy. Families of butchers that span generations compete with one another to serve the best roast mutton, mince pies, jugged hare, black pudding, and sausages. Spiced apples can be found at every corner, along with mugs of mulled cider. To appeal to the sweet-tooths, plum cakes, brandy balls, spiced buns, and pancakes abound. For the chance to eat like the common folk, fishermen have lines and lines of oysters to be eaten raw, smoked, or roasted in front of you. Most notably, strolling vendors sell squares of fresh gingerbread, spread with hot dripping treacle.
Drink Stalls and Fuddling Tents
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate of all sorts and flavours imaginable are sold at tents and carts alike. But it is alcohol at the Frost Fair that reigns supreme. Gingerbread vendors, along with baked goods, sell cup after cup of gin. Youngsters head straight for the fuddling tents that sells Old Tom, a deceptively ardent and potent gin despite its light and sweet taste.
The fuddling tents, temporary pubs crafted from sails, oars, and barrels, are erected throughout the fairgrounds, and are undoubtedly the most boisterous and raucous spots. Perhaps you would like a mug of Purl; a combination of gin, spices and wormwood wine served piping hot, or perhaps a spiky Brunswick Mum for those who prefer spiced winter ale, or just the finest brandy. The most popular fuddling tent, the City of Moscow tent, attracts all with its Russian fiddlers and rowdy ambience.
Trinket Shops
Tradesmen from all over the world and of all types set up booths to sell their wares. Pedlars circulate through the crowd. Everything from books to toys to sheet music, all of which bear the label, “bought on the Thames”, can be found in every direction. Cups and cutlery with the Thames printed on it are particularly popular. For upscale shopping, one row of vendors sell rare jewelry, toys and upscale trinkets.
Fair Games
Ring toss, spin the wheel, darts, shooting; all sorts of amusing games have been set up. Whether any of them are fair is a debate for another time. Yet isn’t there something thrilling about spending a shilling for the hope of a prize, even if the more logical minded know the odds (and those boxes) are stacked against you?
Puppet Shows
Portable puppet shows pop up throughout the fairgrounds. Many of the shows cater to adults,  showing parodies and satires of mature and comedic topics, including politics to current events. Punch and Judy puppet shows are all the rage and never fail to provoke shocked laughter from its slapstick humour.
Tumblr media
Elephant Demonstration on the Ice
In the distance, shouts of excitement riddle the area. An elephant, majestic in a draped banner, is led across the ice by Blackfriars Bridge into a showing area. Once there, those brave enough may approach the enormous creature (for a fee) and even feed it fruits and bark.
Ice Skating and Sleigh Rides on the Ice
The obvious winter entertainments are not excluded from the festivities. Metal blades are available for rent, to zip along the ice, though whether it is a more stable or secure method of travel than boots depends on the skater. Ice rinks have been constructed and blocked off for the sport. Sleighs pulled by horses, or perhaps a rowdy group of gentlemen, stand by for farther adventures up the river. All need to be wary of the watermen keeping an eye on the thickness of the ice.
Theatrical Displays
Small stages are interspersed throughout the other attractions, actors braving the cold to give the performances of their life—or at least of the day, before they return to Drury Lane for the evening performances. Scenes, monologues, excerpts from the plays of the moment, put on for free to try and tempt viewers into purchasing full tickets.
9-Pin Bowling
Set up the pins, line up your shot, and try to remember that ice will affect your throw! Is it the attention of a pretty lady on the line, or pride and honor that has been wagered? Your aim may be truer if you haven’t been indulging in some Old Tom.

The Rogue | Sebastian
Twenty-Five | The Lord Sebastian Mackenzie Marquessate of Inverness, Chieftain of Clan Mackenzie
Formally or Informally Announced: The Lord Sebastian Mackenzie
Addressed on Formal or Informal Social Correspondence: The Lord Sebastian Mackenzie
Formal Correspondence Salutation: "My Lord,”
Informal Correspondence Salutation: “Dear Lord Sebastian Mackenzie ,” or more familiarly “Dear Lord Sebastian," or "Dear Mackenzie,"
Addressed in Speech: Lord Sebastian, or Sebastian or Mackenzie, if addressed by a very close friend or relative
Referred to in Speech: (The) Lord Sebastian (Mackenzie)
Social Correspondence Signature: Sebastian Mackenzi or Mackenzie
Biography
Sebastian is a Scot through and through. His love for the highlands are as richly deep as his love for all things deviant. Sebastian’s family has held the title of Marquess for two generations now. Sebastian would be the third generation to hold the title. However, the Mackenzie family has been chieftain far longer. While the claim to power has made the Mackenzie clan’s timeline extremely murky. Sebastian can find the earliest date of their chieftain status around 1780’s.
He was born into wealth and high society. It came naturally to Sebastian just like breathing. Many believed he was able to handle the power because he was born to it. In actuality, Sebastian natural adaptiveness came from his callous charismatic personality. Sebastian. His gift of gab and flirtation seems to compel everyone he has come in contact with. Which made his actions all the more nefarious.
Sebastian believes that Scotland should be independent from England. He has organized and attended various crimes throughout Scotland and England territories that border Scottish lands. However, no one is able to pin him to any of the crimes*. Any that know of his involvement either are loyal to the cause or never to be seen from again.
While Sebastian’s intentions are now controversial it wasn’t always like that. Sebastian had been sent to a private bordering school for his behaviors. Growing up Sebastian was cruel**. He would act out, fight, cause destruction, and hurt anyone. While in the same breath would struggle with his own mental health. The boarding school was a way for his parents to fix him. The experience never cured Sebastian of anything. It just made him more cunning and well adept to his environment.
Sebastian has been an eligible bachelor for an extremely long time. He doesn’t take many people to bed. The few that do are mostly fly by night, one night stands. There was only 2 that anyone really gossiped about.
In truth, Sebastian doesn’t understand the concept of love. He understands power and instant gratification. The only reason he’s attending this Season is because his parents are forcing him to go. Through an ultimatum they gave him before the Season began. They believe a wife will soothe his aggression, and hope this event will help.
Crimes*: some of the crimes he had committed are arson, blackmail, assault. Cruel**: Cruel would be in the form of like I mentioned fighting, destruction of property. He’s callous and that means he can be verbally cruel. For instance if Sebastian sees a woman/man/whomever trying too hard to look beautiful, even if they ask him or not, he would tell them their ugly. It’s to be cruel but in his head that people try to hard to be beautiful that its ugly to him. So he knocks people down to stop inflating their ego.
Personality:
Personality wise Sebastian is complex. So his negative attributes were mostly outlined in the bio. But some others that isn’t discussed are loyalty, sarcasm, intelligence. These are basic things. Sebastian loyalty comes from the clan he grew up around. He found kinship among brotherhood. There were many times that Sebastian was in trouble and one of his close friends saved him. However, he doesn’t dish out loyalty like its nothing. He holds it close to his chest. In a lot of ways he is disloyal to almost everyone. If he sees weakness/blood in the water he will take the person down if they got what he wants. But if that person cuts through his armor Sebastian will take a bullet for the person no questions asked. This goes hand-in-hand with him being protective over the people he cares about.
Sebastian’s relationship when it comes to love is complex. He understands love because he can physically see it. However it doesn’t resonate within him. He can flirt, he can have sex, but the minute feelings get involve he shuts down emotionally. The walls come back up. And that’s because he has never been in love. I don’t know if I would consider him unable to love, but its difficult. He understands power dynamics more.
He’s a logical person as well, when he’s not angry. Sebastian’s love strategy and puzzles. He can play chess for hours He loves strategizing. He’s always scheming, brainstorming, and he sees things like puzzle pieces or like a Tetris game (modern equivalent) what are the right pieces to fit perfectly that will get him to wipe out the opponent. He’s also fearless. Sebastian understood what the fight in Scotland meant. He’s not afraid. While he’s secretive about his plans and agenda. He isn’t afraid of death. The one thing Sebastian is afraid of is being nothing or more so afraid of not amounting to anything. He’s selfish so while he does things for Scotland that seems unselfish but that’s only because it affects him. Which makes it a problem he wants to solve. He’s the type that he wants people to remember his name.
