Are you okay, little one? Why are you crying? Oh no! Your tummy hurts? I’m so sorry, sweetheart. We should stay home this afternoon. Why would I be mad at you? I could never ever be mad at you, baby. Being chronically ill doesn’t make you a burden. You can’t control when you’re going to have a flare up. You need to rest, okay? Shh. I’m not disappointed or upset with you. It’s going to be okay. We can go out when you feel better, but right now I want you to rest. Do you want to watch a movie together? Or some episodes? Of course, we can watch some episodes. Would you like your heating pad? I’ll go get your heating pad, some crackers for you tummy, your sippy, and your paci. You just rest. I love you for you and you being chronically ill isn’t going to change that. I think your play tent is supposed to arrive in the mail today, little one! Are you excited? I know that you’ve been wanting one for awhile and you’ve been so good lately. I’m so proud of you, sweetheart! It’s here, baby! Yes, we can build it now. Pfft no we don’t need the instructions silly. We’ve got this. It turns out we do need the instructions because I don’t think it’s supposed to look like that. Hmm I see where we went wrong! We skipped a step. How silly of us, baby! We just have this final step left and then we’re done. It looks wonderful! I think we make a wonderful team. Of course we can watch a movie in your tent. You pick out the movie while I go get us some yummy snacks, okay? I’m so glad that you love your new tent, sweetie!
