In my experience, both Asians and non Asians are pretty unaware of Asian American history. I was too up until college when I took it upon myself to learn as much as possible. I’m STILL learning. The thing is, our history is barely taught. You might hear about Chinese Exclusion or the internment of Japanese citizens, but that’s usually it. In order to combat racism, ignorance, and disrupt the model minority myth, we need to understand our history.

COVID is slowly becoming a "third world" disease. While first world countries are hoarding vaccines, having doses for populations many times their size, third world countries can't get any because pharma companies want to sell to the first world countries first. Even then, first world countries will receive them first. While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.

I'm gonna just say that the Canes and the Canes lb fam have meant so much to me the last few months. This is my first season being able to watch so many games and I really wasn't expecting to get to share that with anyone (I'm like the only hockey fan I know). I'm so so proud of these boys, they've fought through shitty calls, bad plays, and have always come back hard. This may not be the end any of us wanted but I'm still proud of them and am so grateful that I got to have the lb crew to look forward to on Game days. Yall and the Canes have gotten me through some tough times this trimester and I'm grateful for every moment ❤ our boys forever ❤
