Currently taking part in an isekai DnD campaign where it’s the 1990s in the real world. so in the fantasy world we got transported into we had to fight some giant spiders and we had a debate with our DM about whether our characters would think to burn the spiderwebs as a strategy. My argument was that my character is a nerd (surprise surprise) and you do this in Zelda games all the time so I would definitely consider this. to which she responded. Well. Which Zelda games? And then we all had to pause the combat to do some research, which concluded in her saying no we can’t burn the spiderwebs because our characters’ present day timeline is three months shy of the release of Ocarina of Time.
