I mean, don't get me wrong, I love them both; but I can't help but notice that when Discovery was cancelled after 5 seasons, lots of people on social media were crowing about how this proves that it was a failure and a disaster and should never have been made in the first place; but when Lower Decks is cancelled after 5 seasons, this just shows that the market has changed and the days of seven-season series are gone, and what a shame it is, and anyways, Paramount+ is clearly dying
