A teenager's messy mind explained in some straight lines!

Do give this a read, i wrote while being overwhelmed by almost everything; the sound of rsin, the darkness and even myself in the moment. In the moment is a way to get a hold on yourself, to calm yourself down when things get hard and to be yourself.

A piece of me to you<3

Wrote this in the middle of the night in my notepad and hated it. Incredible isn't it? How to a deep extent we hate ourselves, our flaws, our body, our talent and our image in the mirror. I channelled those emotions into this sweet poem. Do give it a read!!!

Also I'm back after 2 years haha!!!!! I have missed tumblr and all the connections I've made here. To all the beautiful souls and amazing people of tumblr, hope yall are doing good, are safe sound and healthy.

The becoming of 18, is beautiful and life changing in a way but also scary and confusing. From choosing where to party to suddenly choosing career, finances and literally everything. Plus, still living under your parents roof and asking of them for anything becomes awkward, suddenly everyones attitude towards you changes. It sucks and it is going really fast AAAHHH

The feeling of your heart clenching, the feeling of wanting to do something but literally controlling your tears and sitting as if nothing is happening. Ignoring all your senses to the point you feel numb and living with the guilt of what could have happened if only you weren't helpless.

What makes me happy?

I have never thought of this question from my perspective, I've always thought of it from others perspective. What do people think that makes me happy or what do I do that can make others happy. When you have to constantly live upto everyone's expectations, you get accustomed to others likings, moods, happiness and sadness and in midst of that you forget to build yourself as an individual but rather build yourself as a people's pleaser. And the worst part of this unhealthy routine of waking up everyday and making others happy is that when you have to finally wake up for yourself you can't. When you have to work for yourself you can't. When you have to do your own stuff you can't because you never validated yourself, you stop paying attention to your problems, you think you are exaggerating your issues and problems. And at one point you stop being you.

This question never really hits me but again today when I woke up, I went to to twitter and found this quote by my favourite artist that, “if you want to know what your dream is, think of what makes you happy and makes you feel light, content and excited”.

A simple line, but I can't stop thinking about it, as some one who gives more than what I can get, I don't know what makes me happy. And now it's clear to me why I don't know what career I should choose?

Funny, isn't it. One thing leads to another and now I'm here, 18 and with no plan.
